We come to Shagbark when we visit our kids here in Richmond. Everything is always delicious and the service is wonderful.
Absolutely mouth watering! A great blend of flavors in every dish✌🏼💛
Our dinner was perfect & the service was impeccable! Most of us got the specials, which were creative and well executed, but our daughter got the hanger steak and said it was the best she has ever had. We had a hard time deciding which dessert so we each got something and shared. The sticky pudding was my favorite of all! The ambiance was beautiful & comfortable. We highly recommend Shagbark!

Shagbark provides a wonderful dining experience with attentive service and delicious food. The menu features popular dishes like the pork chop, fried green tomatoes, fried oyster apps, short rib gnocchi, chicken fried oysters, and jerk flounder. The bar offers crafted drinks and has a good selection of wines. The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere with beautiful chandeliers and an outdoor/natural ambiance, making it suitable for business meetings or special nights out. The dishes are inventive, fun, and beautifully plated. The clam and corn chowder is wonderful and the soups are especially praised for their flavor. Although the prices can be high, the lovely setting and super ample parking make it worth it. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a memorable visit. Recent reviews highlight fantastic dinners with perfectly cooked tuna, ridiculously tender chicken, and delicious lamb loins. Desserts like the sticky toffee pudding and chocolate chess pie are wonderful. The restaurant is highly recommended for impressing out-of-town guests or enjoying a special evening.
