All I want for my birthday is some of the delicious pub grub from The Cask Cafe, and a growler or two of selections from the world’s (and Richmond’s) greatest brews. Unfortunately, this will be via touch-free curbside pickup. I’d much rather sit at the bar and chat about the role of diacetyl in English pub bitters, or the varieties of Bohemian or Moravian hops available in commercial Czech lagers...but not this year. “The chicken wings were crispy, the burger was great and the drinks were cold and refreshing. If you like a punk/ rock and roll atmosphere this place is for you. Servers were all cool too! Definitely coming back next time I'm in Richmond!!!“

“I really love Harlym Blue’Z. It’s a smaller spot, which gives it a nice intimate and laid-back feel. The staff is friendly, the drinks are good, and the atmosphere is always welcoming. I especially love the music...they play a lot of 90s R&B, which is definitely my kind of vibe. They also keep things fun with karaoke and different activities throughout the week, so it’s not always the same experience every time you go. I’ve been more than once and I always end up having a good time. Definitely a nice little spot to relax, have a drink, listen to good music, and enjoy yourself.“

“Went here for an espresso martini, and maybe I had high expectations because it was a vodka bar, but it simply was not good! Tasted like vodka with plain coffee and that’s it. I didn’t even finish it, even though it came in a very small glass. Very disappointed.“

“I got the fish sandwich and it was hot and fresh. However, the lettuce was wilted and I am not a personal fan of shoestring fries because the get cold and limp to quickly. It was strange to find no Samuel Adams beers on tap at a Sanuel Adams establishments.

My server, Tabbi, was friendly and attentive she even took the opportunity to help me before the pushy customer that came in after me.

The music was a bit loud and only ESPN on all screens. I guess that's the usual for an airport bar.“

“We had a small wedding reception at OCB and while I would recommend it as a venue, I’d also recommend writing down exact details of what you want the event to go like. I don’t know if we ended up with inexperienced staff or just an odd night, but nothing really went like it should have. We were told two bartenders but there was only one, they didn’t seem to know when to bring out the food even though we said it was an open buffet, we asked them to serve slices of a cake from the back and instead they just placed it on a tray in the front and our guests had to slice and serve themselves. Every time we met with Bill he reassured us they’d done so many events and wedding there that they had it down pat, but it definitely didn’t seem like they did. On the whole, I’m still glad we had our reception there. The venue is awesome and the food is amazing! I’ve always heard great things about people using them as catering at other venues.“

“It's a dive bar where most people know each other's names. That's what makes it a staple in the community over there. One pool table so if you want some competition, go at night. Not really known for their food, it's a dive bar 🤷🏾. Nice people but if you're sensitive, just don't go lol“

“This place is hidden but worth it & our bartender Rain is amazing. She's very knowledgeable and explains in details how the drink will taste. She's awesome I love when she bartenders. Definitely will come back to back when she's working.“

“Emerald Lounge was our favorite food stop of the entire weekend. The decor is moody and tropical, the staff looked effortlessly cool, and honestly, I felt a little sexier just walking through the door. What a vibe.

We ordered the crab Rangoon empanadas, pork lumpia, and Baja fish tacos, and every single thing was delicious. But those empanadas deserve a moment. Two beautifully golden empanadas with a sauce so good I wanted to dive in and swim around in it. Give me a spoon and a bowl of that sauce and I would be perfectly happy. Paired with the crispy pastry and creamy crab filling? I’ll be dreaming about them.

The fish tacos had generous pieces of crispy fish on little corn tortillas, and the pork lumpia with chili sauce was another winner. Everything looked as good as it tasted, right down to the dishes it was served in. The portions were just right for us to share and try several things.

Two Miami Vices with a little coconut rum floated on top had me feeling very good about our decision to start the weekend here. We enjoyed it so much that we seriously considered coming back for dinner the next night.

Beautiful space, delicious food, and drinks that encouraged us to keep the night going. Already planning my next visit and my next order. Although those empanadas are absolutely coming back to the table.“

“My husband asked the bartender/head mixologist, Steve Yang, for a gin based dealer's choice and he made the most wonderful drink I've had in a long time. He called it "Some kind of wonderful" it had dill, yogurt, and some other stuff and tasted like some hard to find European candy. Awesome!“

Get the pork and chicken dishes, and don’t forget the salads! The fries and appetizers are of course excellent options, but don’t sleep on the main menu. They have empanadas just on Sundays and Mondays currently and those are absolutely delicious!“

The giant cubes of grits didn’t really taste like anything and didn’t add much to the dish other than volume. Also my dish came out way later than the rest of my group’s food, they were almost done by the time I got mine. The waitress was very apologetic, which was nice, and it’s not her fault, but I felt bad making everyone else wait on me while I tried to eat quickly. The atmosphere was good, though!
