“My wife and I saw the reviews of people raving about the guacamole and since they were rated higher than any other Mexican restaurant at 4.8, we thought we’d try it. We’re both from LA and well, we know Mexican and often cook Mexican at home.We got Birria short rib beef Tacos and fish tacos -and of course, the Guacamole. We have NEVER had more flavorful Mexican anywhere and we could not have been more impressed. No wonder everyone is crazy about the Guacamole! Holy Moly that was the best ever! The fish tacos were flavorful fresh and crisp, and the barria tacos… unbelievable. Prices were most reasonable and my wife refused to share her piña colada with me because, in her words it was to die for. The owner, Giovanni is from Mexico City and he and his brother use their own recipes that are worthy of 6 Stars if Google would allow.Thank you for an incredible food memory in Richmond! You are a true artist.“
“The food is delicious and very flavorful. The portions may be a little small depending on what you order, so be sure to ask about that. The "las costras" items are delightful, as are the tacos. It's tricky sometimes to get a table, but they have a lovely patio area and the vibe in general is very nice. Highly recommend putting in a reservation in advance if you can. Also, parking can be kind of tricky. We usually have to park on the street in front and there is a 2 hour time limit if you come before 6pm on certain days. There could be other places to park that we simply haven't found yet.All in all, highly recommend!“
“First landing in Virginia, first landing in Richmond.I headed to this store from the airport with my friend and family who live locally. The name seems to mean "grandma". It's quite delicious considering it's a restaurant that serves grandma's taste. The dinner plate that came with rice and beans was great, and I also ordered some delicious-looking Tamales, but by the end I was too full to eat dessert.Came here on a Friday night with 3 adults and a 5 year old child. The staff's response is also good. The inside of the store was also clean.Kid-friendliness: Friendly staff service.“
“My waitress/bartender was exceptionally kind and caring. She checked on me every time she would walk by. Not once did she walk pass without acknowledging my presence or asking if I was ok or needed anything. The male greeter was also extremely kind and caring and even came to back near the bar to inquire about any needs i may have l, even engaged in some meaningful small talk. Another male waiter was very pleasant and answered questions that i had regarding the drink menu. Over all a great experience, great food and awesome hospitality. I highly recommend this establishment to others and will be returning. I came in stressed and left feeling seen, cared for and quite full ?“
“No complimentary chips and salsa. Service is great and music is outstanding because they played salsa the whole time! Food was fast and delicious as well as good portions. We tried the margarita flights and they are delicious! I tried the chicken bowl. If you love coconut try the coco loco margarita.Tables were clean and place didn’t smell musty. Friendly service. Will return!“
“I had the sirloin tacos and they were great! Very tender, flavorful, marinaded beef with a little homemade guacamole, lime and cilantro. Interesting, fresh salsas. Perfect. Nice people. Interesting decor. The "women owned" blah, blah, blah didn't even put me off even though I'm an old, crusty white man. That's how tasty everything was!“
“Went twice this week. First visit was excellent with great service. They rolled out the guacamole cart and made it right in front of us. Food was very good and reasonably priced. The second visit had slow service, no guacamole cart. The food was still good. The Mojito was very good.“
“Came across this gem on DoorDash and found the food exceptionally good! Tried the birria quesadillas and yucca fries, both of which are super flavorful and yummy. Second time around, ordered for the fam, and got the steak tacos and carnitas tacos (and birria quesadilla again) and guac and everything was delicious. The sides of pickled onions and the salsas are incredibly flavorful, and the guac is FRESH and tasty. Love that they use fresh cilantro on everything, and the corn tortillas taste homemade. Tried the flan and that was the only let down. This place is fantastic!“
“We have been dining here since they opened many, many years ago. The reason is because the food is always authentic and freshly made, the price is always good and the staff do a great job to make you comfortable. My wife and I are eating here again this Sunday for our 39th wedding anniversary. We have made this our go to place for many of our Birthdays and anniversaries. Thanks for the memories!“
“This is such a cute place by the canal! We went for dinner on Monday and had a lovely time. The food was delicious! I gave it 4 stars because I do wish their salad had a bit more to it besides lettuce (no, I did not have a Cesar). However, the mushrooms I added were seasoned and cooked really well. The queso, though!!! We scraped that bowl clean! Margaritas are top-notch, too! I had the blackberry and the fully loaded. I would get the blackberry over and over again. So good! Blake was our server, and his calm, patient demeanor was a breath of fresh air. He answered all our questions, provided great recommendations, and is very knowledgeable. I've seen some posts about auto gratuity and fees - we did not have any. When we paid, we could select a percentage for tip or type in any amount. I did get a paper receipt, and the only thing added was tax, as expected.“
“I love the food here, but they make nachos FIRST, so they get all soggy while the other food is make, and the grill is too high. Every quesadilla ive ever gotten is burned. other than that, great place. 3.5/5. fix a couple minor issues and itd be a 5“
“Great experience. Greeted by several staff members on a Friday evening. They encouraged us to speak Spanish which was fun. We were regularly checked on. The place was lovely. It’s a more modern look than the traditional Mexican restaurants. The music was great and there were large TVs playing soccer at the time. The food was awesome. Very good margaritas. I thought about it for days, wanting to go back. There’s a big seafood entree that looked yummy, not sure what it included but I want to find out!“
“The food was excellent, they had large 21 ounce Margaritas, I had one- strawberry and frozen. Had the Beef fajitas and flower tortillas. Yummy! I recommend thus place for great Mexican food. The service was good, business picks up around dinner times. The atmosphere was bright and they played Mexican songs.“
“I’ve visited many times and their food is always great. The torta is my absolute favorite thing on their menu. Empanadas are delicious as well. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere and they also have an awesome taste in music. Highly recommend if you’re looking for tasty food.“
“We decided to take a chance on going out for dinner on Valentines Day and chose Los Panchos. I'm glad we did. We love it there anyway, but they certainly went above and beyond for all the sweethearts out to dinner. We went about 5:30pm. They had a lot of extra tables set up to accommodate extra people. They had brought in & set up numerous little round tables for two with paper tablecloths & balloons tied to some of the chairs. They also had plenty of staff & everyone was on their toes! The food was awesome, as always. Giant thumbs up to Los Panchos and the wonderful staff for making Valentines Day dinner wonderful & less stressful. There were a few people waiting by the time we left, but it was worth it!Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap ♿️“
“Didn't think it would work but it did - fusion: Hispanic & Asian for these dishes (ikwmour family )❣️Cool decor and vibe while family friendly.A memorial service: packed to go dessert with ice to keep the ice cream cold ?, while the sweet plantain stayed hot.“
“Food was great and the service was even better. Our server Badhan was very friendly and helpful. We never had to ask for refills on drinks or with chips /salsa, or help with menu questions as he frequently dropped by the table to make sure we were doing well. He went above and beyond to help my wife find a side salad option and a single taco and he made it feel like it was his pleasure, like it wasn’t difficult or a bother, he was honestly one of the best service industry professionals we have worked with in years. The food came out promptly and was as described and delicious. The host staff was also great asking if we wanted a “sling” for our son in his car seat and putting us in an l ideal booth scenario without us asking for any special assistance. Overall great experience!“
“My wife was craving a good Mexican dinner and we gave this place a shot. OMG I'm so glad we did!!!! The drinks were perfect and the food is phenomenal. The service is above and beyond and we will be visiting here again very soon. If you get the chance make sure you stop here!!!!“
“Definitely my go to place for authentic delicious Mexican food! The Horchata is delicious, the tacos never miss, the huaraches are huge comfort food and the staff is always so friendly. Everyone that I bring ends up loving it and going again on their own.“
“Tacos are excellent. Prices are reasonable. Took like 25m to get three tacos.Being in a used car lot these days honestly kind of adds to the ambience. But they had some picnic tables and a canopy for some covered seating.Parking: It is in a used car lot. There's plenty of parking spaces.“
“We went during the weekday it was moderately busy and service was excellent it came with complimentary chips white dip( Not cheese) and salsa.I got the enchiladas they were amazing!Excellent experience drinks never ran out .Very clean and small relaxing atmosphere they also have a small bar.“
“my first time in richmond and this was my favorite restaurant so far. it’s such a comfy and welcoming atmosphere. the servers/bartenders are incredibly sweet. i had a blue margarita and shrimp tacos that were to die for! i told them their refried beans were the best i’ve had. not a place to skip 10/10“
“Wow excellent food. The food is authentic. The drinks are amazing. The drinks actually have alcohol. The place is very welcoming and the staff were really nice! I will be returning especially it’s 5 minutes away. I recommend if you want to eat good food and have a good drink with friends or family. It was so good that I didn’t even get a chance to take a picture ?Keep up the good work!!!“
“Tasty A.F. Mexican food. Best in Short Pump and my go-to. Get the Grande Peach Mango frozen and the Topo Pollo chicken meal. And yes, the cheese sauce is worth the extra price. Last but not least they often make their flour shells on site and still hot from oven.Parking: Never had an issue with parking here, lots of spaces.“
“The beef tongue was tender, savory, the asada had so much flavor. Rice perfect, beans perfect consistency, good flavor. My Spanish isn't good their English is better. Parking lot. Local spot. Plain. Go for the food and service! I'll check accessibility next trip.“
“Great little Mexican place in the city of Richmond. We are at GalaxyCon and needed to take a break and grab something to eat, so we went for a short walk and ended up finding Ay Caramba. It wasn't overly busy, so we were able to get seated pretty quickly. We very much enjoyed everything. My wife got a little taco bowl, and I got a couple of tacos with some sweet plantains. First thing the plantains were out of this world! The tacos were very fresh and tasty, and my wife liked her food as well. Thought the salsa was really good. They have a nice little bar area. Not a huge menu, but it seems like what they do have they do very well. They do have a little patio outside with a couple of tables, so if it's a nice day, you can enjoy the sun.“
“We’ve been coming here for years. Great food, fast service, super friendly staff, & reasonable prices for the amount of food served. Tonight was my 1st time ordering the Mojarra Frita - yummo! My son always gets the Chicken Burrito Ranchero.“
“We absolutely loved the food here. The shrimp tostadas were a favorite. The tortilla chips were amazing and probably better than any we’ve ever had. Just get whatever they suggest - you can’t go wrong! The staff were also friendly and welcoming.“
“We finally tried after years of driving by. The food was good, and the service was fast. My wife had the fajita burrito and had enough for two meals. I had the enchilada and tamal combination, and it was a large single serving. The rice was salty for our taste. The refried beans were good. Burrito was awesome. The enchilada and tamal would be average, except for the red enchilada sauce. It was great. It made the whole thing come together. The salsa was a sauce that tasted good, but it was a thin liquid.Kid-friendliness: A lot of families“
“The street corn and drinks were fantastic! Fresh house-made lemonade, limeade, and a circulating special. The tacos could be better (pork was watery but shrimp was fantastic), but they were still good. Would go again and try some of their other menu items!“
“The price for an order of birria tacos is pro-founding!!! Not only are they delicious but they come in a hefty portion. The service, phenomenal! I forgot to ask for their name, but they were so patient and kind. I will definitely come back here!“
“Definitely worth the hype. The tacos are each $3 - chicken, pork, steak - all the same price. The soft tacos are doubled wrapped in corn tortillas and topped with onions, cabbage, cilantro, and they come with two lime wedges and two types of salsas. The chicken is really nicely seasoned and plentiful. The corn tortilla was a bit dry so I had to add a bunch of the salsa. It also took over 15 minutes for two small tacos.“
“Everyone was so kind here. My phone was dying and they let me charge it as I awaited for my to go order. The food was hot and flavor full. The portions were large. I definitely would. OneBack to done in.Vegetarian options: There are options labeled.Kid-friendliness: It was very colorful and has candy for sale.“
“(Translated by Google) Very rich tacosUntil today the best tacos in the area a delicious flavor with their respective caramelized onion and Jalapeño ?? recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️(Original)Muy ricos tacos ,Hasta hoy los mejores tacos del área un delicioso sabor con su respectiva cebollita caramelizada y Jalapeño ?? recomendado ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“Let me start with the hot salsa. Most places just cram spice into something to make it hot and this is very much not the case. The flavor was wonderful. Perfect spice balance. The salsa verde is also so good I could just write a review on the salsas alone. After my chips I moved on to what I can only describe as stuffing my face with these delicious tacos. Yea maybe it is a little steeply priced. But it is definitely worth coming back to.“
“Their super tacos are absolutely fantastic, and two of them is enough for a meal for a hungry large person. One super taco would do it for me some of the time. I've been there for brunch as well, and it is also fantastic. Highly recommended.“
“Strawberry infused margarita, chorizo tacos, and key lime pie! This place is FANTASTIC from the taste and quality of the food to the vibe! Highly recommend. Brought our two young kids with grandparents and everyone had a perfect experience. Pool tables are separate from dining and bar, but really add to the casual atmosphere regardless.“
“Came for lunch. There weren't many people in there but it filled up really quick after about 10 minutes. Make sure you know some kind of Spanish because there is only one worker there who speaks English. The tacos were decent sized and the prices weren't bad just less cilantro and onions and more meat was needed for them. The place is small so depending on how many people are in at the time you mat be waiting for a little bit. Not bad I'd come back again.“
“The best taco place I have EVER gone to it has such amazing food we have this saved as our favorite restaurant in RVA which is saying something as we have lived here for 20 yearsVegetarian options: We are vegetarian and they had a lot of options for usKid-friendliness: Very kid friendly“
“I've been coming to Casa Grande for YEARS with my kids. Firstly I would like to thank the servers for extraordinary service as my kids sometimes can be loud or unruly but they never once made us feel unwelcome. Secondly, the food and prices are just unbeatable. I grew up in Arizona where we had authentic Mexican food and found their recipes to be similar to what I enjoyed growing up. The food is ALWAYS fresh and we just enjoy the atmosphere so much. Thank you.“
“My family and I had dinner here on a Sunday night. The food was great. Atmosphere was really chill and our server was really nice and attentive. We were excited to find out the kids ate free with an adult entree. My Philly steak burrito was amazing.“
“Came here to celebrate a friend's birthday and had a lovely time! It's very colorful and festive, which my kids loved. Service was prompt and attentive. The tableside guacamole was delicious and the salsa was great too! I got the shrimp tacos, which were good (but slightly spicy), and my husband got the sopes, which neither of us had before. He got it with chicken and both he and my son (4) really enjoyed it! I also tried some and it was good - the sope has a unique flavor and texture. It's thicker than a tortilla and soaks up the flavors well. I also got the Mexican street corn and it was ok. I think I might just not be a fan of it - it always looks like it'd be more flavorful in pictures. We got the kids taco salad for our daughter (5) which she didn't enjoy as much, unfortunately. There's a lot of seating here, and what looks like a separate (potentially reservable?) space for parties. It was pretty busy for a Saturday evening dinner, but not crazy. I wish I could give 4.5 stars - the food was good, but not amazing. If it weren't so close to my house I'd probably go elsewhere for Tex Mex. The sopes were a nice surprise though - I don't see that on every menu. Still, definitely a good local Mexican spot. Great service, good food, good vibes.Vegetarian options: There's a specific vegetarian section to the menu, but other items are vegetarian too, just not super distinctly labeled. Most entrees have a veggie option, so it's pretty obvious, but it's distributed throughout the menu.Parking: There's parking surrounding the building. Some up front, some by the side, and some behind the building. Limited spots, and not much parking around, so consider carpooling at busy times.Kid-friendliness: Definitely family friendly. We saw several families here, and my kids enjoyed themselves. There is a kids menu.“
“We are long time die hard Torchy’s fans, ever since it was a food truck in Austin 15+ years ago. Before the awesomeness of Torchy’s started spreading across the country. We have enjoyed Torchy’s all over the country. This sadly was our least favorite experience. Every place else you get your sauces on the side, here they put them on the taco which helped them be soggy. And my fried avocado taco did not come w the lettuce it was supposed to have and very little pico. The avocado was soggy. Had this been our first experience with Torchy’s we would not have come back. I asked to have my taco remade with the sauce on the side and with lettuce which they did and told me they have just started putting all the sauces on (which they should tell you when ordering I guess).Anyway, I still love the tacos but this location needs more adherence to the standards I guess.“
“I was craving for Pupusas and haven't had it in like a year. Decided to bring my Brit friend and her hubby cause she's never had a pupusa before. Their Pupusas were great especially the one with Jalapeño! and surprisingly, my friend ended up liking it. It's good to have open-minded friends who are down to earth. Also, the servers barely spoke English, but they were friendly. Will definitely come back again for their tacos.“
“First time visiting this restaurant as it was recommended by a friend. 3 adults had dinner and two with soft drinks and the bill was under $55.00. I don’t know of anywhere within the Richmond area where you can dine with reasonable prices. So much food I had to use take out boxes for the remainder of my meal. Great atmosphere and great service.“
“I ordered from DoorDash. I got a Chorizo Breakfast Burrito. It was not bad. I was just really missing some red hot sauce. It's very filling and easily two meals. I didn't expect whole beans, but didn't mind it.The grilled scallions were huge! It was just missing some lime.Nothing major stood out.“
“Incredible and authentic Mexican food. The chips are fresh, salsa is delicious. The gorditas are so good and the flavor is just beyond. Everything they do is so flavorful and cooked to perfection. The margaritas are so fresh and delicious. I cannot recommend this place enough. Not to mention, the cost is so affordable especially for the quality of food.“
“Smells so good when you walk in the front door!!!Absolutely the best charcoal rotisserie chicken I have ever had, not dry but moist and seasoned perfectly, cooked well all the way to the bone. The rice was excellent as well as the Cole slaw. The price was extremely surprising very reasonable. The beef taco was very good and much larger than expected with fresh vegetables & plenty of sour cream. Service was excellent & staffed well for a busy lunch, & was clean. I will be returning and telling my friends to come check this place out!!“
“I love this place for many things;- The food is amazing, best mexican food in virginia and best mexican food in the whole united states-the food is exactly as if you were eating in Mexico City-The service is great- The atmosphere inside the place is great-Very friendly and family run“
