“I found this little place by accident and I have never been happier about an accident in my life. Mike is so relaxed and easy going he makes this place comfortable even if you're indecisive. I could say all the things others have said about the food but I will save that for the next. The cheese!!!!! I'm a cheese head by blood and Mike has the best cheese and he knows it!!! It's flavor packed unlike that fake tasteless paper flavored cheese product chains put on their pies. The salads and other side items are fresh and generously portioned. The restaurant is easy to miss with a relatively nondescript storefront, but inside is welcoming and tastefully decorated with Japanese poster-style art. There are both tables and bar seating; the space is a little narrow, and the tables are all on the smaller side, so I'm not sure if it would be the best place to come with a very large party. But it was perfect for meeting up with a friend after work. The friendly server greeted us quickly. I ordered the "Southern Cali" specialty roll, which was basically a fried California roll with spicy mayo. It was delicious! It came out warm, which we did not expect, but it was so flavorful. Overall a great experience, I'll definitely return.“

We had a cozy spot by the fireplace to start out our night with drinks. Highly recommend the espresso martinis. They also have a nice wine selection. The rockfish and short rib ravioli were delicious and plated beautifully. The blackberry cheesecake was the perfect ending to our meal. This is not typical "bar food" at all. The bar is so inviting, and it's also a great place for a private event. “Saw Roots while out running errands yesterday and thought I'd give it a try after seeing they have tofu on the menu. I can't speak to the atmosphere since I ordered takeout, but the place seemed comfortable enough if I'd wanted to eat in. I got the Southern bowl as-is (but light on the dressing) and was very pleased. This is not junk food so I expected to pay a little more but it's a good value for me since it's fresh high quality nutritious food and it was a big enough serving for me to have half and save the other half for today (having it now). Plastic lid, but biodegradable paper bowl, so less waste generated. It was also nice that I could find the nutrition values for this bowl already in the MyFitnessPal database. Good crew, got in and out quickly given that I got there a little before 4:00PM. Hoping to turn my husband onto this place as well. Gonna look for excuses to run errands near Roots locations from now on.“

The grill definitely brings out the flavor. The bacon was cooked perfectly. The sliced dill pickles on the side taste homemade. The fries were okay. My daughters ordered the cheese curds, chicken wrap and burgers - which they enjoyed. Now, I'm from NC and I ultimately judge a restaurant by it's coleslaw ? ? It is really good. I showed her my order online didn't match what I had and she quickly had the correct salad made. Sometimes in restaurants mistakes happen, but noticing them fast and proactively without me having to get up is pretty rare service these days. Salad was fresh and filling.“

“4/7/24 I observed a worker while getting a propane refill at (Quioccasin and Pemberton) walk out the trailer to the store (gloved hands on the door and other store fixtures, handling money) and back out of the store, back into the trailer and straight to the grill (it was that close) with no change of gloves. I walked over because I couldn't believe what I saw and asked the guy why didn't he change his gloves. Apparently there was a language barrier so a coworker step in i then repeated....why didn't he change his gloves. He then said..."He didn't touch anything" I'm like really!!! If they are that careless and trifling the way sickness is spread nowadays with a "nothing was wrong attitude" towards a question why weren't gloves changed do you really want them making your food? I know it smells good around that trailer but BE CAREFUL!!! folks.“

The chips must have been bottom of the bag so we're more like blue corn crumbles. The salsa was an insult to salsas unless you like spicy flavored water it was very thin. The southwest chicken wrap was very good and full of flavor. Wish they had more unsweetened drink options. A bit out of my normal way but may go back to try the salad bar“
