“We went for breakfast on a Saturday morning around 8am and it wasnt very busy. The ambiance of the restaurant was better then two other local places we visited since being here in VA. I ordered the Californian with Wheat toast and home fries, my wife had the 3oz steak and eggs with home fries and we shared a cinnamon bun. The food was good and hot except our home fries were cold. The servers was good and attentive. I would recommend Matrys to others and will become a frequent customer. See you again soon.“

This is CLASSIC diner (& breakfast!) joint fare with really generous portions (Never seen a bologna burger that thick, EVER). The owners are good folks and the decor is astounding. “We found Pastahouse after realizing traffic was pretty bad after the Richmond marathon expo at the raceway. This was a pre race meal so we were hoping for fresh and clean food. This place is a gem! Absolutely amazing! Chicken parm, eggplant parm and chicken Marsala were excellent! So fresh and good. Website multiple times that we wish we had a place like this back home. Highly recommend!“
“Went here for a healthy dinner with friends. My sister had been once and said it's great for variety. Almost like a Mediterranean Chipotle where you proceed down the line and ask them to fill up your bowl. I got a Falafel bowl absolutely loaded with various toppings including brown rice, cucumbers, baba ganoush, lebanese tabbouleh, pickled beets & pickled onions, and sumac cucumbers. There were a lot of sauce options to get on the side too so I went with taziki and s'hug. The workers had warned me that the s'hug was very spicy but maybe my spice tolerance has gone up? Didn't struggle at all! Everything was super fresh. Will be back!“

The food was labeled as we ordered it, which we greatly appreciated! Feed was delicious! “Amazing! I got the Friday special of turkey wings in gravy, yummy! The sides were also tasty-collards, green beans, cabbage, Mac & cheese, spoon bread, and the okra...we were stuffed and couldn't stop eating! (Other people got the porkchops that just fell off the bone, seafood platter, and sides with rice) I can't believe I didn't go before, but I sure will be back again and again. The staff was incredibly friendly, too!“
