“Best place in RVA for Breakfast“

“This was my favorite food in Richmond for breakfast/lunch. The people are friendly and patient with questions. The space is warm and inviting, but room for quiet work or reading too. And OMG! the food. I ordered it 3x in 5 days, including some to take home. Don’t miss this gem!“

“Front counter staff is friendly and quick and if you've been there, you've likely met the owner, Olaf. He takes great care of his guests. The place is super clean with tons of seating. Clearly, everyone has found out about it because it's busier every time I go—and I almost always run into someone I know. But there's still plenty of seating. High-quality coffee and food, great atmosphere, and you're supporting a local small business.“

“What's not to love about Stir Crazy? It's the ideal coffee shop. Nice, friendly neighborhood sort of place on MacArthur, very popular with all ages and for good reasons. The best thing about the place is the staff, they are just the greatest, every single one of them. I can't say enough good things about them. I'm a retired old fogey and I go there a lot; I am very comfortable there.“

“I have been twice now and both times the food was great. The view is outside is gorgeous btw. Now as for the food the menu is a variety of dishes themed from different parts of the world. It honestly doesn’t matter what you get it’s going to be delicious. If it’s on the menu when you go I highly recommend the Georgian flatbread, the bao buns, the chorreadas, or the cachapas!“

“Four years later: still always amazing!!! Croissants are fantastic, authentic, and HUGE. We love everything we've tried so far and we've tried almost everything. So fresh and tasty and great flavors! Pro tip: order ahead online 48hrs and skip the line! Call ahead if you want to know what the seasonal options are. And grab a quiche for a delicious and easy family dinner.“

“I order from Sidewalk a lot. I have lived across the street for 50 years and my grandson orders and picks up for me. I love the Chicken Quesadillas , the ceasar salad with the steak on top (very tender) and the club sandwich with fries the most. But I suggest a little more consistentcey (sp) with the quesadillas, sometimes you get 4 pieces and sometimes only 3, I guess it depends on who's cooking. I don't mind that so much as they are very good, but the salsa is not always fresh. Sometimes it has the bright red color indicating freshness and other times it has a darker almost brown color that is not as enjoyable to eat. I still will order but just check the salsa. Thank you. Very popular and good restaurant otherwise for years.“

“My best friend and I scheduled an afternoon tea to celebrate our friendship The Queen’s Library Tea Room was perfectly perfect. The service, food and tea were all amazing. This is a must do in Richmond! We will be back!“

“Absolutely friendly and wonderful staff, great food, and we witnessed a moment of humanity and kindness from a staff member I assume is the manager toward a woman who came in after us that nearly made me cry. The food is great and that’s reason enough to go back, but their mission of community support and visible and heartfelt recognition of the humanity of others in our community will have us going back again and again. Cannot wait to return! 15/10.“

“Always a great experience at Amuse. The bartenders, the drinks, the waitstaff and the food are always top notch. Everyone there takes pride in their work, and they have a great location from which to service and entertain patrons. I had a lamb dish tonight, which was particularly delicious.“

It truly had lump crab and lobster in the omelette some omelettes when you deal with seafood are skimpy with the crab and lobster, but hands-down Lulu was one of the best and their omelette was truly well done sometimes omelettes are not cooked all the way through. It was just an amazing experience for me, I was thoroughly impressed. I will be coming back lol 😂 I saw 👀 the chicken and red velvet waffles!“

“Our go-to for desserts, and they just happen to be vegan! Flavorful, beautifully prepared, unique items you can't find elsewhere. The savory options are amazing too, they are magicians with seitan. Don't miss their seasonal offerings for holidays! Most recently we had a delicious box of items for high tea from their Mothers' Day menu and everything was perfect and fresh. We are really lucky to have Sunflower Gardenz in our city, a hidden gem for sure“

“I will turn 75 years old on Monday, Dec. 21, 2020. All I want for my birthday is some of the delicious pub grub from The Cask Cafe, and a growler or two of selections from the world’s (and Richmond’s) greatest brews. Unfortunately, this will be via touch-free curbside pickup. I’d much rather sit at the bar and chat about the role of diacetyl in English pub bitters, or the varieties of Bohemian or Moravian hops available in commercial Czech lagers...but not this year. The cask is Richmond’s best bar for real beer afficionados, IMHO. DAN MOUER“

“Attention Tree Nut Allergy patrons: the plain granola they use has WALNUTS in it. This isn’t advertised anywhere. There is a sign—separate from the menu—asking customers to let staff know about any allergies. And, fyi, when I asked the employee if the granola had nuts in it—because I didn’t see the sign on the counter asking me to notify them of my allergy, because the menu is above the counter—the employee wasn’t sure. This prompted me to check the bag of granola they were using.

I know allergies are a drag, especially for those of us that suffer from them, but this business is in a shopping center where a lot of kids frequent. I feel like using a granola with walnuts in it without bringing more attention to it is playing with fire.

“Took my German client to this amazing restaurant and she was blissful! I’ve been many times and try to share this phenomenal dining experience with others whenever possible. High quality ingredients, all dishes are made to order and fresh and hot and delicious, generous portions and the bread is to die for! The server was delightful and so was the gentleman running the front. I can’t say enough good things! Go, enjoy!“

“I ran across the Maple Street Biscuit Company quite by accident. Great breakfast place! The menu is well laid out and the food is very tasty. This is a fast casual set up with orders taken at the counter and you are given a number. Food comes out quick. Things that standout are the vegetarian mushroom gravy, iced coffee on tap right next to the sweet and unsweetened tea, and the strawberry short cake. My only problem is there is not one in the Raleigh area. Message to management: COME TO RALEIGH! I am looking forward to my next visit.“

This was my husband's and my first time at this location (we usually go to the one on Broad in the West End) and we came late in the day, near closing time, hence the reduced pastry options - the video shows what was left. The most popular options go earlier, so come early for the best selection.

Same menu as the other locations, as far as I can tell. My go to are the sparkling fruit teas, and my husband likes their boba tea. This location has some unique seating options. It's better for 2-3 people groups, though there is the round seating/tables if you're with a larger group. It's quite aesthetic, and unique from the other locations. More plants and greenery in this location.“
