Harrison Street Cafe offers a cozy atmosphere with art and booths, creating a funky vibe that reflects Richmond’s spirit. The omelette with cheese and bagel is tasty, despite the salty egg, and the cafe is known for its excellent drip coffee. Many affordable options are available, including homestyle breakfast, with fully vegan and vegetarian meals such as the cream cheese bagel and French toast. The menu features standout sandwiches like the Reuben, Luigi, Lil Luigi, gyro, and Who Dat, which are considered some of the best on campus. The Luigi vegan sub is flavorful, with toppings like pesto and arugula, though some customers wish it had more slices. The staff is friendly and quick, often assembling orders almost instantly. The owner, Quillin, adds to the local culture with cool art and good music, making the environment welcoming. Seating can be limited, especially on the first floor, but take-out is available for those on the go. Overall, Harrison Street Cafe is a great spot for a quick, fresh, and friendly meal, though parking can be challenging.
