Tropical Mimosas - were very refreshing and a perfect start to our brunch Bloody Mary - Bloody Mary mix is made in house and is absolutely divine Shrimp&Stone-Milled Pimento Grits - this is the star of the show! It was so creamy and perfectly seasoned! Chicken&Red Velvet Waffle - the chicken was perfectly seasoned and cooked, the house potatoes were something you could just eat a whole plate of all by itself, the sausage gravy is absolutely amazing, the waffle was good but a bit dense and dry the syrup didn't even soak into it (would have been better with a good pad of melted in butter in or something)“

Clearly, everyone has found out about it because it's busier every time I go—and I almost always run into someone I know. But there's still plenty of seating. “Sefton is the greatest cafe in richmond, the staff are so kind to everyone who comes in. I get the same thing every time I come in to the point where barista’s and the owners know my order 😂. I get it bc it’s easy on my stomach, but they have such an amazing looking menu and are always changing it to fit the season! I always make sure to bring friends and family who are visiting here because it really is a special part of the community 🙂“

“Lil bro brought me here when I was visiting him in Richmond. A nice spot with a plethora of toast and breakfast sandwiches options. I also appreciate that there is tea, match and chai for the none coffee drinkers. The staff is great and the music selections are on point. I also like that there are local artists and self-care small businesses that sell their products in the store.“

“This was the best breakfast sandwich I've had in Richmond. Quality ingredients and all made fresh, a classic fry sandwich on a delicious roll. A ton of the places around here use microwave eggs or other shortcuts - not here. I also ordered an Arnold Palmer and watched the very kind woman at the counter squeeze the lemons fresh right there. So excited to have this option in downtown now!“

“The only thing that was uncomfortable was some one had their cell phone on speaker and the person's voice was louder than comfortable and I could hear the person on the other end. Could the person please take their call outside? I really don't want to hear other people that loud. It's disruptive to the ambience. The Maple Tahini Special Drink was extraordinary! The Burrito was excellent and the pastries are above and beyond! And when school starts and Alchemy-Lift is full, I really hope people use ear buds or go outside to use their mobile phones. Today my husband brought a bagel Sammy home to me from you guys. The sandwich had havarti cheese, which you had let get a little crispy and bubbly and wonderful. I noticed and appreciated it so much. I don't even care if I never happens again. The beautiful instance of it happening once will ensure that I return over and over again, delighted at the possibility of my sandwich having a crispy little cheese edge. “Went to Blackhand on a Thursday afternoon, I didn’t catch the baristas name, but he was so kind- very good energy, even helped some customers figure out something on their stroller for their baby. It was so refreshing to come to a coffee spot where the baristas are happy to help, not to mention their awesome outdoor seating set-up. I ordered a chai which was made very quickly and was absolutely delish! The parking wasn’t bad either, mornings are probably much busier, but overall such a wonderful experience. So glad I was told about this spot, will definitely be returning!“

I was surprised that a cold coffee concentrate was used as a replacement for a double shot of espresso in my iced latte...even more surprised from Blanchard's with a beautiful 3-group Strada.
