Clearly, everyone has found out about it because it's busier every time I go—and I almost always run into someone I know. But there's still plenty of seating. “Since first visiting back in 2024, I have not stopped buying Paix coffee. We loved it so much that we would drive 30 minutes from Midlothian to Downtown just to get our coffee early in the morning. We tell everyone about it, even now being back in Phoenix. We love it so much that we still order their beans for shipping so we can enjoy the same good taste at home. I’m always in the mood for all-day breakfast items when I’m on a work trip, so I tried the pork sausage, egg and cheese on sourdough toast, and a delicious latte. Food and coffee were outstanding. It’s obvious the staff puts care in the prep of every sandwich. The toast was toasted perfectly with the right amount of crunch, eggs were lightly seasoned with pepper before whisking, and the cheese was nice and “melty”. Get your order “for here” , and Chill to the beats of new and old school jams while you enjoy this little local gem.“

“This cafe feels like the type of place where you can sit alone without feeling awkward. I came in around 4 PM with headphones and a book, and nobody bothered me even though I stayed quite a while. The hazelnut latte was smooth and not burnt tasting like some coffee shops nearby. I also liked that they kept the music at a normal volume. The only small issue was one chair near my table being shaky, but a staff member swapped it out after noticing me adjusting it repeatedly. Thoughtful service overall.“

“This place is fantastic, we came here after a date night for a sweet treat and coffee and ended up with an assortment of things. Every thing they make is absolutely delicious, with complex yet delicate flavors.
The place also has very comfortable seating and great atmosphere, it's a great place to slow down and enjoy the food.
I highly recommend their coconut cake, they make it themselves and has this absolutely amazing texture with a syrup that makes it gooey and chewy in the best way possible.
Their Turkish delights and coffee are also a must have. I will definitely be back.“

“Sub Rosa is THE bakery in Richmond! I live about 2 hours away and always make sure I stop by when I’m passing by. It’s about half a mile off the highway, so it’s easy. There’s no parking lot, so finding parking can be an issue, but don’t let that discourage you!

The bread and baked goods are as close to being in Europe as I’ve found (I lived abroad for 8 years). Crusts are light, flaky and leave a little butter on your lips. Everything is fresh and full of flavor. Staff is always friendly and welcoming.

They serve and sell both Recluse and Afterglow coffee - both are excellent local beans.

The brown sugar cardamom latte is really good and have the perfect cardamom flavor that isn't overpowering. Really good service. “Guys. I thought I loved crossroads before. Then I tried their home made pop tart pastry? And I experienced a new level of limerance. This lil shop is crushing it. From their expansive selection of freshly baked pastries, delicious and perfectly pulled espresso shots and what I can only assume (will soon verify) is a scrumptious breakfast, they haven't disappointed me once. “i LOVE minglewood bake shop so much. it's my favorite coffee shop in RVA. the atmosphere is very loving & accepting. the pastries & coffee are to die for! they have gluten-free options as well, which is amazing as someone with celiac disease. all staff is so friendly & welcoming. they have cute stickers & accessories here too. overall great environment, vibe, & food! everything is also vegan, which is super cool! they even have a microwave that's solely used for vegan foods only. a lot of cool stuff here & they always have something yummy & new to try. i have never had a bad experience here & i've been going often since 2023! pricing is also so good, you get great portions & high quality for what you pay.“

“I bought some Dark as Dark from the grocery store! My wife likes dark roast! She usually uses a creamer. I drink mine black! This has to be the smoothest dark roast I have ever tried! I usually end up with a bitter aftertaste with the dark roasts I have tried so far. Not with this. We bought a grinder thinking that may be the problem but even with fresh beans lots of dark roasts still give that bitter aftertaste. This is tasty all the way through! I’ll be buying this from now on and I like the fact that we will be supporting a Va business as well. We will have to try out one of your locations in Richmond some time!“

“Just randomly found this place and was pleasantly surprised! Food was great and Greg the owner is super friendly! We got the Chicken Caesar Wrap and the Philly Chicken Wrap. The food was fresh and made to order right in front of us and it was delicious! I highly recommend this place and I will definitely be back. We also got the Lavender Lemonade and it was awesome as well! Give it a try you won’t be disappointed!“

“Such a cute biscuit shop! I got the special biscuit of the day, cheddar cheese, and the strawberry iced matcha. Both were good, and the biscuit was enormous!
Was very busy, but food and my matcha came out fast. Service was lovely.
Note: they don’t have a customer restroom, so get napkins!“

My drink came out delicious and I believe there were people in training who made sample drinks for some of us in the lobby for us to practice. Double berry matcha was pretty good gotta say.
