“Well researched food, solidly composed cocktails, and a warm interior make The Roosevelt one of the most talked about restaurants in RVA currently. Chef Leah is as much a researcher as she is a good chef. Being a long time food writer who has been on assignment in many kitchens, its no surprise to me that Leah has carved out a reputation for herself in Richmond recently. She sources a lot from local farmers, adheres often to seasonal common sense, and takes inspiration from her reading and research on Soul Food, Southern food, and Virginia food. I wouldn't classify prices at The Roosevelt as cheap but also wouldn't classify them as extravagant either. Marketed by many as a "neighborhood spot" I always see The Roosevelt as a great date night spot, particularly for those who might fancy themselves foodies. Congrats to Leah and The Roosevelt on their recent James Beard nod. In my opinion, well deserved.“

“i LOVE minglewood bake shop so much. it's my favorite coffee shop in RVA. the atmosphere is very loving & accepting. the pastries & coffee are to die for! they have gluten-free options as well, which is amazing as someone with celiac disease. all staff is so friendly & welcoming. they have cute stickers & accessories here too. overall great environment, vibe, & food! everything is also vegan, which is super cool! they even have a microwave that's solely used for vegan foods only. a lot of cool stuff here & they always have something yummy & new to try. i have never had a bad experience here & i've been going often since 2023! pricing is also so good, you get great portions & high quality for what you pay.“

“We tried Burtons tonight for my wife's birthday, and couldn't have been happier with out choice! The restaurant had a lively atmosphere - but felt really cozy and inviting. The food was absolutely amazing. From the calamari to steak and the lobster role, everything we had was delicious. “Not only the best vegan joint I’ve been to but also my longest supported local business in the state for over a year. The menu might be small but they heavily prioritize quality over quantity. If you’re looking for restaurant quality vegan fast food that’s authentically crafted, then this is the place for you. I cannot recommend this place. Try a cash wrap or a breakfast burrito here and you’ll be in love in no time.“

“Terrific staff and beer as always. New set up is terrible. Nobody wants to have a full service brewery. Nobody wants to have to reserve a table. Please go back to original set up. let us sit where we want. order a beer when we want. If we want full service we will go to the restaurant side. This may work at the other locations, but Richmond isn't Charlottesville. This was our goto brewery, today's has us thinking differently now“

“Our go-to for desserts, and they just happen to be vegan! Flavorful, beautifully prepared, unique items you can't find elsewhere. The savory options are amazing too, they are magicians with seitan. Don't miss their seasonal offerings for holidays! Most recently we had a delicious box of items for high tea from their Mothers' Day menu and everything was perfect and fresh. We are really lucky to have Sunflower Gardenz in our city, a hidden gem for sure“

“I come to IH all the time, right on my street. This morning I got the mixed berry galette and it is the best thing I’ve ever eaten. Not too sweet, perfectly flaky, with the slight crunch of granulated sugar washed on the dough. It is absolute perfection. Please consider making it a regular 😍 Thanks for all you do. Great bakers, great staff, love the music. Thankful you’re always there for brekkie when I’ve been too lazy to grocery shop.“

“Small shop with a Rustic vibe with really good coffee and bagels. This is not the coffee shop to try to work in. The brown sugar cardamom latte is really good and have the perfect cardamom flavor that isn't overpowering. Really good service. I like that there is a free library outside and they have free community meals for people who needs it.“

“After this place has been on “RVA Restaurants to Try” list for about 3 years, this was our first time eating at Fat Dragon, but it certainly not be our last! The wonton soup was the best my mother has ever tasted…keep in mind, she’s traveled all over the world. The ginger dressing was so delicious, I asked the server if they sold it in bottles. The garlic chicken and basil beef were both so tender and flavorful, I would highly recommend them both. And last but not least, our server was great! Do not wait to try this place like I did!!!! “This is a super sweet shop! I ordered for local delivery to my sister for her birthday who lives in RVA. The sweets were perfect, a great selection and a cute online storefront to select from. Cant wait to visit the shop in person someday! While there was a bit of a mix up in delivery, the store owner quickly and very apologetically remedied it and delivered promptly herself. Very happy with the choice to work with a local small business vs. any other big box brand! Thank you!!“

“We were in yesterday for an anniversary celebration for my parents and I must say we were SO pleased with our experience as always. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the front staff and the manager with a smile, within a moment or two of being seated our wonderful server came to greet us and grab our drink order, the food was magnificent and full of delicious flavor and came out fresh/at great temperatures, then our server even remembered that it was my parents anniversary and brought out a celebratory sparkler on a bottle and a dessert for them to share ❤️ My parents felt the love and I surely did too, thank you to the staff for being so kind and taking the time to come and enjoy conversation with us at the table as well, it meant a lot to us and we will be back! We have been coming to this location for many years and always feel the service is 10/10!!“

“This place has been my escape whenever I wanted some decent food at a reasonable price. I love their spicy buffalo cauliflower is my favorite. The staff is courteous, the atmosphere is not chaotic and, the space is clean and tidy. I think I’ll always keep going back to CPK as long as they have some vegetarian options.“
