“This is a great gem in Williamsburg. I loved the chill atmosphere with art around you. There is plenty of outdoor space and live music when we were there. We shared the Turkey Brie Sammie. It was delicious. I completely understand why this place is #10 on the best coffee shops in Williamsburg.“

“A quiet retreat from the bustle of Colonial Williamsburg, the Dale House welcomes guests of the APVA-owned side of Historic Jamestown for a bjte to eat and deink alongside of the James River. The caterer at the Dale House is exceptional. Beer, fountain soda, coffee, hot tea, and other bottled beverages are offered. The pastries and sandwich breads are home baked. The soups, sandwiches, salads, and quiches are just the right ticket for lunch. I strongly recommend any sandwich on the croissant buns if they are available as a special!Just be sure to purchase the APVA ticket in addition to the fee for admittance to the National Park in order to access the Dale House. Recent changes have required both tickets to be purchased due to ownership division of Historic Jamestown by the APVA and NPS. But, a week long pass is well worth the price for returned admittance to enjoy the offerings and unobstructed Jame River view at the Dale House!“

“The thought and expertise put into putting this museum together is outstanding. Multi dimensonicial, multi screen video presentations are not to be missed. Great exhibition of artifacts. Start at the first room and progress chronologically. The outside exhibition of the Indian village and Jamestown settlement are supplemented by period costumed, knowledgeable reinactors. Outside, on the water of the replicas of the three ships that brought the settlers to the American shore. All guides answer all your questions. Highlight of my seven day visit.“
“A hidden gem! From the outside it looks like a wine store and it is- BUT so much more! Everyone is so kind and knowledgeable! The food is out of this world! We tried the baked feta with cranberries, honey and grilled pita. Then we tried their special- a bratwurst burger! Definitely a top shelf burger! Will definitely be going back! Almost forgot homemade baked goods!!“
“Great respite on a hot day. Cold water, hot coffee, clean restrooms and a warm smile! It doesn’t get any better for a serviceman than that! The last picture is James MacDonald who won a cycle racing award—-connection is that his wife is with my wife who is also pictured all three are Vets!“

“When we arrived we were told the wait would be 20 minutes, but we're called to a table in 5 minutes. The waitress immediately came to our table and took our drink order. Drinks took 10 minutes then we ordered and our meals were done in 10. The service was incredible and food was perfect. would definitely recommend it“
“Ate there for lunch today. Food was delicious (I had the corn chowder and my wife had the chicken bbq sandwich). Price was reasonable for the Williamsburg area. One of the better places we have eaten in the area. Looking forward to returning in the future.“
“The Cupboard ~~ Great little spot to stop in for a snack or drink. Especially terrific is Siba, the nicest of ladies who makes the best hot tea anywhere. Who knew adding orange slices and cinnamon sticks could turn it into something special!“

“I love finding independent donut shops when we go out of town. We were on vacation last week in Williamsburg and we were going to dinner when we passed by Emily's Donuts. I told my wife that we needed to stop there the next morning for breakfast. We did and I am so glad that we stopped. Those were some of the best donuts that I have ever had. They were huge but they did Not taste doughy. I highly recommend stopping there if you were anywhere nearby.“

“I ordered a hot Almond Joy latte and it was fantastic. I couldn't even tell I was drinking coffee because it was so close to tasting like an actual Almond Joy. I also love the decor and the overall feel of this coffee shop. Definitely brings the feeling of comfort and wanting to enjoy the moment of drinking a good cup of coffee.“
