“Looking for a place to go for a fancy dinner, or in our case our 5 year anniversary? This is the spot, located right outside of historic colonial Williamsburg, Cochon’s on 2nd was special. The hosts and servers were personal and always around. The food is literally to die for, amazing selections. Great wine and cocktail menu and selection as well. Highly recommend.”
“By far the best restaurant we ate at on our recent trip to Williamsburg. The food was amazing as well as the service! The decor was great and we had fun reading all the quotes on the walls. It might seem a little pricey at first but given the quality of food you will quickly realize this place is a bargain.”
“It's definitely not the cheapest place. Had the French onion soup, was 'okay' but have had much better. The bacon and blue cheese lover burger was pretty tasty. The fries were hot and crispy. Would recommend those two items. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is good.”
“I came on a Tuesday for the first time and it’s like I never left! I’ve come back repeatedly with family and friends and I’ve never been disappointed. The service and food are comparable. I even left a 100% tip one visit because the service was that great! As a food historian, I find each dish amazing and well executed. By far, the best brunch I’ve ever had on any continent I’ve visited.”
“ABSOLUTELY SOUTHERN SEAFOOD PERFECTION!Everything on their menu is a real seafood creation. Not to mention their non-seafood choices being tasty & imaginative. (I had the shown fried green tomato stack before moving to seafood)My waitress Caroline was so attentive and professional! They have live music, heaters for outdoor bar dining, more quiet indoor dining, inexpensive happy hours, and parking all around. Right in the middle of Colonial Williamsburg and College of William & Mary, for sightseeing and shopping galore.I hadn't been here in over a dozen years, and Berret's is as great as ever! I will be back.”

“I am a true foodie, have traveled to over 30 countries always seeking the very best restaurants I could find, and Fat Canary is one of the best....hands down ! .....the food is amazing, the soups are truly chef masterpieces. The service is always amazing. Do not believe any negative comments, I know this is an amazing restaurant based on my experiences.”
“We stopped by for a quick drink and appetizer and our bartender Ron was amazing. He provided excellent customer service and even explained some of the history behind Aberdeen. He enjoyed our time there and will definitely visit again.”
“From ambiance & wafting aromas when you first walk in to receiving your meal everything is great. Quick & attentive service & friendly and calm environment with intimate dim lighting and inviting decor. My favorite dish is the curry goat (spice level 3 is perfect for me- I love hot dishes) plus garlic naan bread. Pear + honey ice cream dessert is delicious and unique! Definitely suggest to all, less busy throughout the week & busier on the weekends, delicious either days.”

“The food was well executed even taking into consideration the price in terms of beef and bread and salads. Shrimp were "fishy". Service edged toward pretentious and lacked finer touches including topping off wine. Atmosphere lacks charm and in competition with old Town williamsburg and adjacent misses the mark.”

“I lived in PA for 40+ years and have eaten at almost every decent Philly Cheese Steak shop between Philly and Harrisburg. Tip: The best Philly cheese steak is in Harrisburg and Hampden Township.Rick's makes a pretty good cheese steak. The rolls aren't quite as good as Philly Amoroso rolls. But they are dense and support the cheese steak well. Nice crust and chewy texture. High quality meat and lots of it! Most beef I've ever had on a quality cheese steak. I prefer provolone, onions, sauce and light hot peppers. Rick's mixes the cheese into everything on the grill, including the sauce. I prefer the sauce poured over the steak in the hoagie roll. Sauce maintains it's flavor that way. But all in all, an excellent cheese steak.French fries were slightly under done. Need to be crispier with more color. Fries are large crinkle cut.Server was friendly and efficient. Knew his product well. The restaurant was clean and bright. Apparently it has been recently remodeled. Steady stream of business on a Saturday afternoon. Plenty of parking. We'll be back!”

“Ordered the fajitas for two special for $24.99 to go. I couldn't believe how generous the servings were and to get beef, chicken and shrimp for this price is unbeatable. The taste and quality were outstanding. The small restaurant is located in a shopping strip and was packed. This restaurant needs to be in a space with at least 2 times its' current capacity. The staff kept me in the loop on my order status while I was waiting.”
“Me and my son ordered colonial breakfast and it included pancakes, eggs, bacon, ham and grits. We both finished all of it. My daughter had two, two and two with chocolate pancakes and she finished her plate too. All dishes were cooked to perfection. We can now go to Jamestown tour and we will probably skip the lunch. Only thing that was not good was the 25 mins waiting and it the wait was well worth it.”

“Hubby and I had the fried green tomato appetizer (2 pieces with scallops and 2 with shrimp) with a pound of shrimp and an oyster po-boy, which came with fries and cole slaw. Also enjoyed their key lime pie. All items were made fresh in house, including the roumelade and cocktail sauce. Polite, attentive service. The scallops (which were cooked perfectly!) and coleslaw were my favorites?”
“A step back in time... I felt very immersed in the setting with the period decor and dress. The music and singing was a pleasant surprise. Loved that everyone knew their history and shared their knowledge. Food was top notch. I enjoyed my “seafood pye” very much. Great experience!”
“Love the new location! Drinks, appetizer, and food were all great! Servers and staff all worked together to greet and serve us which was nice. Loved the Thai Bang Bang Chicken and Red Dragon Roll! Happy to see many of the same menu items from the Stoney Run location. Will continue to visit both.”
“We had such a great experience! My mother has Celiac, so it's really important that she understand what she can eat and that kitchens and servers take it seriously. May S. was our server, and she was so incredibly considerate and informative about the menu. The food was also excellent! I had the daily special (meatball sub) and it was out of this world. We also really enjoyed the veggie plate appetizer. Also, the cocktails were stunning.”
“Our server Martin was attentive and hustled between kitchen and 2nd floor dining room to give great service. He gave history of the meals, drinks and even how to wear your napkin like a Colonist. Food was delicious and drinks were nice, too. The music was an unexpected treat. Wonderful, authentic experience.”
“We have enjoyed our many dining experiences at Gabriel Archer Tavern. There are always excellent options including seafood, beef or vegetarian. Great selections available for desserts. On campus wine selections should satisfy most palates.”
“We recently visited here for our friend's birthday. The atmosphere was very nice, upscale with a decent volume level so your table can enjoy conversation.First off... our waitress was amazing! Super cute and her high-pitched voice was very fun and inviting. She helped my wife find a wine that she liked, which ended up being our waitress's suggestion. Only took 3 tries ?. Our other drinks were great. We started with a shrimp cocktail and the ahi tuna. Both were delicious, although we agreed the cocktail sauce could use more horseradish. The birthday boy actually liked the tuna which was a huge surprise! For our entrees, three of us got the porterhouse steak and my wife got the stuffed shrimp. Two of the steaks arrived a bit overcooked, which we promptly replaced with new ones cooked to perfection. They shine a flashlight to ensure it's cooked properly, and the manager made sure things were right for our table. Again our waitress was amazing during the serving, and I wish I could remember her name. The birthday boy got a free dessert and we took a key lime pie home to enjoy later. All in all, it was a very enjoyable evening. We will definitely return for special occasions in the future!”
“Extremely welcoming place and the food was amazing. The Peruvian fried corn is better than corn nuts. Must try the homemade passion fruit syrup with Bacardi Rum! Delicious especially if you have a sweet tooth. ?”
“Great restaurant. The food is delicious. Every time I've been it's been crowded and noisy, but that's a factor of the limited space in colonial Williamsburg.”
“Finding myself as the typical tourist in Williamsburg, hunger struck at the most inconvenient of times - when seemingly every restaurant in town was closed. In my quest for sustenance, I stumbled upon the Gold Course Clubhouse Grill, a beacon of hope amidst my culinary dilemma. As I walked in, I was greeted by the serene sight of a few patrons enjoying their meals with a picturesque view of the golf course. The place was quiet, almost a hidden gem away from the usual tourist buzz. With limited options at hand, I crossed my fingers for decent food and prices. Fortune smiled upon me - not only were the prices reasonable, but the BBQ was a revelation. Each bite was a delightful surprise, far exceeding my expectations of a golf course grill. The service? Impeccable. Attentive and friendly, the staff made sure my impromptu dining experience was nothing short of excellent. The ambiance of the grill was exactly what you'd expect from a clubhouse - comfortable, with a touch of elegance. It turned out to be the perfect retreat from the typical tourist traps, offering a satisfying and peaceful dining experience. For anyone wandering around Williamsburg looking for a good meal, the Gold Course Clubhouse Grill is a hidden treasure worth discovering.”
“Dinner and service were phenomenal. After a long day of walking Colonial Williamsburg, we enjoyed the best meal of our trip. All portions were generous from the Charcuterie Board, Poke Bowl, schnitzel, scallops, and filet. Dessert and drinks were on point. I highly recommend for the food and ambience.”
“We went here last night to try the hookah bar that we heard is new in town. There weren't many people there but it had a great vibe and atmosphere. Our waitress Porsche was very friendly :) Would recommend for anyone looking for a place to socialize. The hookah was very affordable and tasted so good. We went with blueberry mint”
“My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at Waypoint Seafood & Grill during our anniversary weekend in Williamsburg, and it turned out to be one of the many highlights of our trip. From the moment we walked in, we were promptly seated in a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The restaurant offered a quiet and intimate setting that was just what we were hoping for.Our server, Don, truly elevated our dining experience. His attentiveness, friendly demeanor, and genuine kindness made us feel welcomed and cared for throughout the evening. Don's recommendations and insights were appreciated and contributed significantly to the overall enjoyment of our anniversary celebration.Every dish was spectacular, but a few stood out as true gems. The Cioppino was one of my personal favorites. The seafood was perfectly cooked and the broth rich. The Calamari was a delightful surprise, crispy and tender, paired with a zesty dipping sauce that added the perfect kick. And then there was the Bread Pudding Ice Cream, a heavenly conclusion to our meal. For anyone stopping by Williamsburg, Waypoint Seafood & Grill is an absolute must-go. Thank you to the entire team at Waypoint for making our anniversary celebration truly memorable!”
“We were visiting Williamsburg for the week and chose Anatolia Bar and Grill. We were so pleased with the quality of the food and the professionalism of the waiter and staff. We had a fabulous dinner and we will definitely go there next time we are in townVegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian dishesParking: Easy street parking.Kid-friendliness: There were young kids there with their parents. They were accepted by the restaurant.”
“A small, welcoming, and very clean mexican restaurant. I have been especially pleased that they have been able to respect my dislikes and served my food sizzling hot and fresh. Happy to go there again when back in town.”

“Awesome dogs! The atmosphere is comfortable, the hot dogs are great, and the beer is cold. The owner is super friendly and knowledgeable about his dogs—this is important if you are a serious dog lover. What more can you ask for?Kid-friendliness: Plenty of space with a comfortable and friendly environment. High chairs are also available.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to get in and out of the restaurant.”

This is always fantastic which is predominantly what I go there for and they have a nice beer selection nice Kraft cocktails selection Virginia 14Vegetarian options: Pizza is pretty good vegetarian option they have several other menu items that are vegetarian”
“One of the few places in town that has chicken n waffles and the chicken is boneless, with is great. Because having bones in it didn’t make sense. Will be back again for sure. The omelet with ham, bacon n cheese was delicious too. Hash browns were a bit dry. But tolerating.”
“The food was really good, and the pancakes were huge! A little pricey for breakfast but that seems to be the way things are these days. Our server was very friendly and attentive. 4 stars because almost $100 for a family of 5 for breakfast is a little crazy in my book and not conducive to repeat business.”
“Perfect place when you have to have a Reuben! The staff are very efficient and helpful. You get more than your money's worth. I made 3 meals from one sandwich. You won't be disappointed!”
“Coming from North Carolina, this hole-in-the-wall restaurant exceeded our expectations. Not only was the service phenomenal, but the quality of the food was as authentic to Mexico as one could imagine. From the first bite, I was encapsulated by the flavor and aroma of the food. If you are ever in the Williamsburg area, this is a must-go place. I will definitely be returning whenever I'm in the area.”
“Was here with family. The place is cozy. The ambiance, atmosphere, and service are great. People at counter are polite and engaging. We got very berry, chocolate, and PB lovers. The custard is good or standard, but not extraordinary or standout. May be the flavors we tried or the flavors of the day. Next time I will try drive through.”
“Came here after an unpleasant experience next door at Olive Garden. Restaurant closes at 10pm. We had a party of 8 and walked in around 8:25pm. We had left Olive Garden due to them making us feel unwelcome for coming in so late with a large party. Our server Juliette at Carrabbas was amazing. She was very sweet and attentive to us, even being close to closing time. The manager Rachel was awesome as well! We thanked her and her staff for a great dining experience. Thank you Carrabba's! Eat here instead of the Olive Garden better staff, better atmosphere.”
“Such a fantastic gem in the Burg that many continue to find. They celebrated 5 years this year.Chef Mike came from the West coast with a lot of industry knowledge and expertise of handling seafood. He had an immediate hit on his hands converting a gas station to Casa Pearl. He later enhanced the modest outdoor seating.I've been twice and both times their signature tacos were a slam dunk. But don't dare miss out on their oysters. They are also known for delicious craft cocktails that can be sipped at their small bar.My most recent visit I sat in the dining room on a Saturday evening solo. My waitress was immediately attentive after my hostess sat me. I ordered a water with my drive back home. I started off with a half dozen salty kiss oysters. Then a variety of three taco later. The oysters were fresh and came with the accompanying items to add. Super yum! My tacos followed and the fish at market was my favorite. I finished the meal off with a cheesecake that was the bomb! It's worth the drive from the beach, it's that good!Parking: Go early”
“Great service, great food! The entrees we ordered were delicious and the tamales were fantastic! Amanda was so helpful in her recommendations, and in serving us. Will definitely be visiting again!”
“We enjoyed their personal-sized pizzas! Interesting choices for them like wild mushroom or Gorgonzola and fig, etc. very tasty! ?? The other menu items also looked great.Good prices and service.”
“Amazing oatmilk latte ? Friendly staff, talented baristas, super cozy lounge and rational pricing. Sometimes you have to wait for your drink but it's always worth the wait.”
“Wonderful restaurant. Food is delicious. Service is truly top notch. Spice level ranges 1-5. 1 is not spicy. 5 is Indian spicy. Some dishes are naturally spicy; just ask. The cauliflower appetizer is a meal on it's own.Parking: It's a small parking lot with tight spaces.”
“This was a quick service food truck located next to a brewery. They have covered outdoor seating, and it's dog friendly, which is a HUGE plus! Our pup loved getting a treat from the workers and sniffing around while we waited for our food. The only downside was the limited vegetarian options, but we ordered the Gouda Griller, and it was good. Next time, we will have to try the cheese curds.”

“Delicious food! One of the best gyros (yee-ros) I’d ever had! Kind people working in the restaurant and serving up good food- what more could you want? It’s also right next to a peanut shop so eat, then shop.I got the traditional gyro and French fries with taziki sauce.”
“The McLaws Circle Starbucks is the best. The service is always great but today it was above and beyond. I had placed a mobile order for pickup but got tied up at work and wasn’t going to arrive until a few minutes after they closed. I called ahead and Ian, one of the closing staff members, waited for me and brought my tea to the door for me after they had locked up. Thank you to this team for always brightening my day but especially today for making a long work week end on a high note!”
“I've come to enjoy Wendy's. I love their frostys, and their frosty machines are never down (McDonald's take notes). The staff here was friendly. If you get the chance, buy the 3 dollar free Frosty Jr. for the whole year of 2024. It sits on your Keychain, and you show it and get a free Frosty Jr. with a purchase all 2024!”
“This chick fil a experience was definitely unique. It is located on/near the campus of the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA. It seems to always have a line (perhaps students can redeem meal plans here?) We stopped on our way out of town around dinner time and there were upwards to 25 people inside waiting. The line moved quickly and efficiently as if they were used to the crowd. The workers were friendly. The menu is slightly limited and the prices are higher, as most campus fast food chains are and the food was “mid” but it did what it needed to do lol Overall we were pleased.Parking: There aren’t many spaces out front but most of the patrons were walking so they were all open!”
“Out of mocha and espresso machine wasn't working so I had to get half decaf. Could have been an incredibly frustrating experience but the girls working there were so amazing that it made the experience very pleasant after all. They deserve a raise for having to deal with so many issues out of their control but still remaining positive and professional!”
“The food, drinks and service is always amazing!! Top notch, from the cashiers to the cooks to the bakers to the managers and everyone in between! My only complaint is the music is SOOOO loud at this location. I go to many different locations around the area and this location just has unbearably loud music. Every other location has much quieter music playing. Panera is many people’s favorite spots to get a meal, a coffee and study at, but the blaring music makes it really hard to want to come here to study :(But again, everything else is top notch! Great food great service!”
“I have been getting a burger here atleast once a month for 3 years now. They have never messed up my order. Its been perfect. I marked service down 1 star because i always order online ahead to pick up at drive thru. Most times, the only thing ever said to me is. Hi, can I take your order", followed by "You can pull forward". The second window rarely ever says anything. They just hand me the food and shut the window. I think "Please pull forward" would be nicer and maybe the second window saying hello would help. But, as I said, my orders have been perfect and I appreciate the accuracy they provide.”
“I was disappointed they had stopped selling chicken pieces but the chicken were excellent. The sweet guy that was at the window was very polite & had great customer service. Places seem to forget to teach that!Thank you for a great visit!”
“The food, service, and overall atmosphere were beyond awesome at this Chick-fil-A. The employees were all friendly and helpful. The food was even better at this location compared to back home.”
“I go to taco bell for my grandson. He ❤️ it.Because he doesn't eat meat. Thanks TB.Vegetarian options: The beans, rice, and cheese burritos and cheese quesadilla. They give you what you ask for.Sorry Burger King Taco Bell has it ? our way.”
“The employees were playing, they made the drinks well but slow because they were playing. The doormat was kicked up and I walked in and all this trip and follow my face on the way in the door.”
“Food and services was Great and I Love the Cleanliness.. next time Better on the clean Dishes and SliverWare but I Will Definitely Go Back The Hold the standard down.!!”
“On Feb 8th, I ordered a drink at a different Starbucks location and it tasted bitter and not like it normally does. I went to this location to see if they could fix it and I was not disappointed! Keely offered to fix my drink and made it just how I wanted. This location never dissapoints and has a great staff. Keep up the good work!”
“The food was nice and fresh, and we got it as soon as we ordered! We waited less then 30 seconds to get our food. The service was incredible, the staff were kind and the atmosphere was amazing! 5 stars!”
“I love the John Tyler Hwy location. Everyone from the drive-thru employees to the manager is friendly, efficient, and helpful. I can trust the food to be hot and tasty. If I ever encounter an issue, they are quick to make it right. I have never had a bad experience here!”

My child won a duck! Overall, this place is pretty bussin’.Kid-friendliness: The place was 95% kid-friendly, even though Die Hard was a bit inappropriate for their age.”
“What a great little place! Way more hip than anything I expected in Williamsburg and it's open late! Nothing in Williamsburg is open later than like 9-10. More places should follow this place. Wel done! ?”
“Everything was great here. We tried to have dinner here one night but the lot was full so we looped around to kill some time and came back to a still full lot. We have up and had lunch here on our way out and it showed why it was so packed. Everything was excellent. The pulled chicken was a little dry, but other than that everything was great. I really enjoyed the bark that formed on the ribs. I wasn't expecting to not need to add a sauce to that. The brisket was classic very tender and moist. The pork belly in the appetizer AND on the sampler was great both ways. You can't seem to make a bad choice here.”
“10/10 for sure! I believe the woman at the counter is the chef’s wife..she is the sweetest. I enjoyed the food very much. Rice was so flavorful and the chicken was very tender. The yum yum sauce I would take home by the bottle if I ”

“We visit Williamsburg from DC 4 to 5 times a year and always make this a stop. Fantastic beer, great atmosphere, lovely staff, games for kids. Food wise they have a great rotation of food trucks otherwise it's just snacks. It's a must go.”
“The bbq, green beans, and collard greens were amazing. It was crowded but it was still possible to find a table. The ribs were expensive and below average. Recommend the pulled pork over anything. Coconut pie was incredible.”

“Our food was outstanding!!! We are very picky about Italian food and this place exceeded our expectations. We had cheese ravioli and Spaghetti with meat sause. All I can say is it was amazing!! The only disappointment was i could only give them 5 stars.”
“This was an absolutely brilliant cafe! Hot chocolate was a pleasant treat after a thrilling, unexpected, quite enjoyable and educational guided tour with Mr. Tom Patton from Aldrich Bed & Breakfast. The cafe offers excellent choices of sandwiches, a variety of snacks and other hot beverages that hit the spot on any cold winter day or well just any day you may have an opportunity to visit this once in a LIFETIME IN THE MAKING HISTORY… during three tour met archeologists who were actually digging for over 400+ artifacts from the original settlements of the English at Fort Jamestown! We actually witnessed the findings too! WOW! Was also blessed to witness use of new ground penetrating identification technology being used to fine areas where they should dig next! AMAZING! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND VISITING THE JAMESTOWN ISLAND!”
“This was my 2nd time there. Got the Pasta Alfredo this time and Pasta with Vodka sauce last time. Both are great! They offer a fresh homemade pasta upgrade and it's definitely worth it! Service is great and the staff seem really friendly. Really enjoy going here.”
“My wife and I moved down here to Williamsburg about 6 months ago and we've been looking for a good Italian restaurant that served good Italian food and pizza and finally we found the place. We are both picky with our pizza and even in New York there were places that pizza was so-so but we did have our favorite which the crust and toppings were exactly how we liked them. Olde Town Pizza & Pasta has made it on the top of our list for exactly that. The pizza was excellent as far as thin crust, taste, sauce and toppings. I had pepperoni and meatball. My wife loves linguini and clams and she loved her dish also. The clams were fresh and not chewy and the pasta was cooked perfectly and tasted fresh. The service was excellent! Very attentive and friendly. This restaurant has become our go-to place for Italian food and pizza for sure. We look forward to trying all the other items they have on their menu.”

“I've enjoyed this restaurant both times that I've visited. Volunteered to take the kids along this time before I was aware the 13 yo was too old for kids price. We did take a 1 yo as well and her meal cost less than advertised kids meals.”

“4.5... inside temperature was chilly. You should not have to wear a coat for dinner. Except for that it would be a 5. Excellent food and service. Prices were surprisingly low. Seafood fixed the way it should be. Trust Eddie when he recommends something, he was excellent.”
“I came on a Tuesday for the first time and it’s like I never left! I’ve come back repeatedly with family and friends and I’ve never been disappointed. The service and food are comparable. By far, the best brunch I’ve ever had on any continent I’ve visited.”

“The food was really good, and the pancakes were huge! A little pricey for breakfast but that seems to be the way things are these days. Our server was very friendly and attentive. 4 stars because almost $100 for a family of 5 for breakfast is a little crazy in my book and not conducive to repeat business.”

If you get the chance, buy the 3 dollar free Frosty Jr. for the whole year of 2024. It sits on your Keychain, and you show it and get a free Frosty Jr. with a purchase all 2024!”

“Talked to a nice manager named Joyce. She said unfortunately this is the only Cracker Barrel where you can't stay overnight in the parking lot.So we went back to the CB in Newport News. Their back parking lot was empty the previous night. They are a very friendly bunch of people there and totally understood our problem.”
