“Absolutely a fantastic experience in every aspect. From the welcoming staff, upscale club house, impressive and well manicured golf course, restaurant workers, etc….my wife and I had a day we will never forget. We will definitely be back again.“

“I would say the Blue Talon is a 4.5 star restaurant but I’m rounding up since Google doesn’t allow half stars. The food is very good for a small town location. We tried a few classic French dishes including beef bourguignon and duck cassoulet. The dishes were extremely flavorful and everything was fresh. The sauces were exceptional. The bread was also excellent and worth the extra charge. Everything was prepared with careful thought and skill. My only complaint is the meat wasn’t as tender as it could have been because it was browned too long. We ordered the mousse at the end and it was fun to see the chef dishing it out like he was sharing it with his own family. The restaurant itself has a very beautiful atmosphere and the service is what you would expect for an upscale establishment. It feels like there is a lot of history at this restaurant and they continue to live up to it today. If you are in Williamsburg it is well worth visiting the Blue Talon.“
“The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful, with an elegant atmosphere that immediately sets the tone for a high-end dining experience. The staff were attentive and professional throughout the evening, which added to the overall sense of care and refinement. There were some standout dishes. My husband thoroughly enjoyed both his salad and the vegetable chowder, noting that they were flavorful and well-prepared. However, I was disappointed with the preparation of the redfish, which was cut into small, thin pieces and served with the skin left on—something I didn't find particularly appetizing. While the accompanying tossed salad with peas and the overall flavor of the dish were good, the dish felt underwhelming and not very satisfying. The ribeye also fell short of expectations, as it contained quite a bit of gristle, which detracted from what should have been a premium cut of meat. Overall, while the ambiance and service were excellent, the execution of some key dishes left room for improvement.“

“Chris was a pleasure to have as a server. She was on top of any request that we had and we never found ourselves looking for our server. The food was well prepared and worth every penny. We would highly recommend making this a stop on your Colonial Williamsburg visit.“

“Good food fast service. Lots of outdoor tables . Busy but moves fast.“
“The food was delicious. We sat too close to a couple when there were lots of empty tables. It took too long to get a bottle of wine when our appetizers were brought to us. Service could have been better. But this is a special place snd we will be back“

“Always love this restaurant. Great food and great server.
We had been in Colonial Williamsburg all day and we were so thirsty. She kept up with our water intake. No one ever does that anymore.
I appreciate her totally!“
