We ate here yesterday for a late lunch/early dinner while touring Williamsburg. I wanted to love it because parts of their menu fit my dietary restrictions(dairy and pork allergy) but unfortunately it was not great.
The rest of my family enjoyed their burgers and fries. I also wanted to note that our waitress was super sweet and wonderful. Service was quick and attentive.

Great time good wise and service wise. Chris took great care of us and we were very impressed with her knowledge and how she was always there when needed. Food was terrific and ambiance always there. Can't wait to return.
It was later in the evening in Williamsburg, VA. We asked Google, where do Black people hang out and eat. Sweet Tea & Barley popped up. As we traveled into what can only be described as colonial Williamsburg, we realized that Google had no clue as to what we were talking about. Never the less we decided to self colonize, hoping we would get a better meal experience than we had earlier in the day. Sweet Tea & Barley offers southern charm, reasonable prices, and a full bar. The menu includes GRITS, burgers, and smoked chicken. Service can be polite and welcoming, but may be lacking at times, in a sometimes noisy setting with a good lounge vibe.
