“As a Cuban who has lived in Richmond for the past two years, I have been so disappointed by the lack of authentic Cuban cuisine and false advertisement of such at certain restaurants. Ironically enough, having been at a “Cuban” restaurant for breakfast led me to research actual authentic Cuban cuisine, which is how I found K’Bola. We drove an hour out to Williamsburg just to have our cravings satisfied and it did not disappoint! The food is absolutely delicious, 100% authentic, and the service is 10/10. We will definitely be coming back for more and don’t mind making the drive at all. So worth it!“
“Was trying to do the survey on line, but it kept telling me it was down, so I'm just going to write a review. Went to Mellow Mushroom for the first time on April 12th and our server was Autumn. She was the best! She had the best personality, very knowledgeable with the menu and very attentive. We loved it so much we returned on April 14th and was very happy to have Autumn again. Thank you Autumn for making my first time a very positive experience. If I'm ever in the area again I will definitely go back and hope to have Autumn again.“
“If you are visiting Colonial Williamsburg, this is a one-of-a-kind must try restaurant! The food was so good, we ate here a second time. The Welsh rarebit was delicious enough to get twice! I wasnt fond of the onion pie. We got the snow eggs and peanut butter pie for dessert and both were tasty, but if your looking to try something new, go for the snow eggs! Will definitely eat here again next time I'm in town!“
“This place was such an amazing surprise! We stumbled upon this little gem on day 1 of our trip and were blown away at the quality, taste and PRICE of the food!! We came back 2 more times before heading home from our trip. This place is SO GOOD and the service is fantastic!!“
“Its a wonderful Bar to go to within Buschgardens. The cider and beer is delicious. During Halloscream hours, the blood bags and syringes come out and those are delightful too. Its a little pricy but of course it's Busch gardens so it can't be helped. I always buy the all day dining ticket so help excuse me on the food while I indulge myself with drinks.“
“We almost didn’t go in once we saw Jolene’s was inside a motel but decided to try out because it had great reviews. Oh, my goodness, we had the best burger we’ve ever had at a restaurant! Burger was amazing! Very fresh and had the best flavor! We will make the 30-minute drive again just for the burgers! Staff was great, friendly, attentive! Even the cook came out to ask if the burgers were okay! Better than okay!!“
“Chowning's Tavern This family-friendly tavern offers lunch and dinner; of course Colonial Williamsburg is family friendly and we recommend Chowning's Tavern for families. We have taken care to frequent Colonial Williamsburg for decades; Probably the Christmas season is our favorite, and the long hot humid summer is the season we avoid. Any frequent visitor to Greater Williamsburg is in for a culinary treat; we focused our first few years on Colonial Williamsburg dining, and we still recommend the historical taverns. Dining in the 18th Century setting is provided at the following: * Christiana Campbell's Tavern® * Chowning's Tavern® * King's Arms Tavern® * Shields Tavern® Over the years Chowning's Tavern has evolved to "please families" with a fast food backyard grill. Limited menu and service hear. Caveat: avoid the backyard if desiring an authentic Colonial Dining experience. Please read reviews prior to visiting Colonial Williamsburg. We recommend above stairs dining; servers have had some training. Great tavern ambience. Chowning's Tavern may offer the best economy dining experience. In the 1960's we "discovered" Brunswick Stew, and this is still on the menu; moreover, my wife has added this stew to her offerings in her kitchen. Take care in personal review of colonial dining. Chowning's Tavern may or may not be a best bet for romantic dining. The tariff is appropriate for the fare.“
“This restaurant is great! They offer a nice variety of food, American and English, with fantastic customer service. The lamb Shephard's pie has been my favorite, but the fish options have also been great! This is a good place for a quick bite, lunch, or dinner and has options for all ages and tastes. I'll definitely be back!“
“Was truly impressed with the ambiance of the restaurant-the furniture had a nice southern feel and the music was wonderful -not quite jazz but almost? We shared a few dishes- biscuits with butter and jam -large and flaky, a southern crab chowder that was nice with a decent amount of crab, and shrimp and grits. They even split our meal into two plates (so you realize these plates are one portion split.) the shrimp were cooked perfectly and the whole dish seasoned well. I had a blood orange margarita which was enjoyed and my daughter had a Warm Flannel with bourbon and apple cider mix.“
“Corner pocket is the coolest place in Williamsburg, they have a great atmosphere good food and plenty of pool tables, and dart boards. It is the only place in the burg with these fun attractions. Make sure you ask for Tevin he is the most personal-able bartender there.“
“Looking for a place to go for a fancy dinner, or in our case our 5 year anniversary? This is the spot, located right outside of historic colonial Williamsburg, Cochon’s on 2nd was special. The hosts and servers were personal and always around. The food is literally to die for, amazing selections. Great wine and cocktail menu and selection as well. Highly recommend.“
