The blonde haired girl (lady in her 40s) that was our waitress on July 2nd for the fireworks went above and beyond to help us. Thank you for being a diamond in the rough. “We made plans for our anniversary to stay at the Smithfield Inn and Restaurant. The new owner was very friendly and could not do enough to made our anniversary a happy occasion. The meal was excellent and our room was very cozy with fireplace and seating area separate from the bedroom. It was very clean and quiet. Then to top it off we were given breakfast coupons for the near by Gourmet Bakery. The bakery was also excellent. We would stay there again and longer to enjoy the cute small downtown shops. Be back soon!“

“I only ate in the dining room, I did not stay in the rooms because I didnt know it was there honestly. The food was amazing, I came back for dinner after I had lunch there. Shrimp and grits for lunch, the shrimp were flavorful and the grits cake was something id never had before and it was amazing. I was given a sample of the dinner special, prime rib, and it was cooked perfect and seasoned wonderfully so we went back from dinner. The staff was amazing and informative. Will be definitely be back next time I'm in the area“

“OMG the food and service is AMAZING! I ordered the chicken tenders and let me tell you: sooooo freaking good! I wish all restaurants made their chicken tenders and fries like this. i even ordered empandas and their carrot cake to go. My husband and I are already planning the next time we go. Such friendly people and atmosphere. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!“
