Had guest from out of town We did lunch and everything was awesome! Drinks to suggestions on appetizers! Maggie was our server she did an outstanding job! Will definitely be back
Food is great, service is good and have posted daily specials!
I wish the menu was a little more expanded and the portions was a little more generous.

Taste of Smithfield Restaurant | Southern offers a rustic menu in a lovely place with a beautiful inside and a great atmosphere. The staff are super friendly, accommodating, and very welcoming. The food is spectacular, hot, delicious, and in generous portions. Everything the kitchen produces is SO DANG GOOD. The Hog bbq sandwich and the crab cake sandwich are deee-licious, with the crab cake being one of the best in a while. The cheesesteak with fries is good, and the sidewinder fries with the HOMEMADE RANCH are a standout. The Pimento BLT on wheat bread has fried green tomatoes and a pimento spread, bringing unique textures and flavors. The sweet potato fries are on point, and the Roasted Apples are very tender with the perfect amount of cinnamon. The sweet tea is delicious and tastes freshly brewed. The Mac and cheese is amazing and stellar. While some changes have occurred, like the removal of the smoker and the fried pickles, the rest of the food is honestly great. The staff remain friendly, and the restaurant is highly recommended.
