“I love that these people don’t judge me when I come in with my strapless dresses and red high heels shoe, my favorite part about this bar is karaoke because they let me sing all my favorite Disney princess songs! And they never get mad about my IBS! They are like family love you all! And im sorry again for shaving my buttocks in your bathroom“
“We just love Ciao Capri. It’s our special date night spot and we don’t feel overly-full after we have a 3 course meal, bread, and drinks. It feels like an Italian grandma is making you a homemade meal from her seaside Italian hometown. The service had been good every time we visit, too.“
“Awesome customer service!!!! I had a very large catering order and 2 hours before I had to change the time and add GF pizza and they totally accommodated me….the managers stepped in, delivered on time and I could not be more grateful! THANK YOU to kitchen manager and staff, thank you to General manager and ALL staff!!!! I will continue to use this location! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“The food is really good for a local bar. I always enjoy a place that is no frills, but makes you feel welcome. My daughter had the Caesar salad and I split a pizza with my son. He's a little picky sometimes. But the waitress Ash has to be the coolest person I've met in a while. She catered to the kids like she was part of the fam.The ambiance is definitely local bar. However, they cook steak and cheese like it's a big city spot. There's pool tables and great music. If you're fancy...go anyway and enjoy some live music on a Friday or Saturday. Take your friends. Belly up to the bar or grab a big high top. You'll definitely have a great time.“
“We found a great new seafood place! Very casual. Prices were reasonable. I got 1/2 dozen oysters on the half shell for $12.88 and they were so sweet! Happy hour margaritas are NOT on the rocks with salt. Not sure what ones were but we were clearly there for the happy hour specials yet nothing was communicated to us. We even asked for a second one before happy hour ended so I thought it was obvious. Paper on the tables. Bibs. Steamed in bags. I had lobster tail and 1/2 pounds of steamed shrimp. Both were sweet and delicious. My friend had snow crab and steamed shrimp. Hush puppies happy hour price was $2.50. Drinks were good. Shout out to our server Noah! He was very nice. Oh, and we each got two corn on the cob and two potatoes. My total was $61.25 before tip. Reasonable for two drinks and oysters appetizer. I would definitely go back.Parking: We were able to park right in front at 6pm!“
“This place is the best kept secret in the west end. Everyone from the management and especially the great wait staff. Was EXCEPTIONAL!!! The food is exactly what I needed after a hard day at work and Kimbo was the perfect waitress. I highly recommend sitting in her section. I was never without food or drink and she kept my whole table smiling. If you’re a fan of the best kept secrets, this is the spot to be.“
“Normally I don't write reviews for restaurants, but this place just went above and beyond my expectations. It was my first time visiting your establishment and my first impression was the waitress Tabbi Englehart greeting me at the table, she had a smile and was very helpful and offered suggestions we should try. Service and timing were absolute perfect. Food was amazing as well. Pretty much they treat you like kings and queens. 100% would return. I would give this restaurant 10 stars if I could.“
“Dinner at Alewife was the highlight of our five-day visit to Richmond. First off, it was a relief to get out of downtown Richmond with its huge empty parking lots, boarded up storefronts and deserted streets. The historic Church Hill section, with its 19th century row and other houses and interesting looking restaurants and shops, was such a pleasant change. Parking near Alewife was a bit of a challenge, but we quickly found a spot just a block away. The restaurant itself has a fascinating vibe, part friendly neighborhood spot and part disarmingly upmarket dining room. You just knew the food would be interesting, and it was. We started with a gin and tonic and a non-alcoholic beer. The menu is fairly short and apparently changes nightly, or at least frequently.I would never in this world think that I would enjoy an appetizer of raw oysters, bright green pickle juice, creme fraiche and fresh dill. But it was an amazing flavor combination. My partner's appetizer was equally interesting -- lox on thick, toasted rustic bread. As mains, we had the arctic char, with grilled carrots, and the skate, both perfectly prepared and delicious. Service throughout the meal was just right -- friendly, attentive but not overly so. Our charge for two, including tip, was around $150, well worth the price. Thank you for a great meal experience!“
“Our first time coming in here and I must say I wasn't disappointed but I wasn't impressed. For our appetizer we had the southern egg rolls which were delicious, but the fact that 1 order is just 1 egg roll cut in half for 8 dollars in my opinion is a bit much, so we ordered 2. Next the mains, my wife ordered the baked chicken with Mac and cheese and cabbage, the baked chicken was very juicy but over seasoned, the Mac and cheese was decent but that cabbage was just way to sweet for our liking. Myself I ordered the shrimp and grits w/ bacon. Flavor wise I thought it was perfect but when I asked the hostess was it supposed to be that cold she picked up the plate and said "well the bottom of the plate is warm". Not trying to make a big stink out of it I asked her to simply put it in the microwave, she came back with a fresh order but now forgot my bacon smh, once I asked my waiter for my bacon, another server stood off to the side analyzing my plate like I'm gonna lie over bacon. All in all I would recommend that if you haven't tried it yet please do so. Picture of shrimp and grits was the first order before i asked for another“
“Great visit! I came for happy hour with some colleagues. The happy hour menu has some great deals. We got fries for eh while table. I ordered beef & chicken empanadas and the karaoke kool aid. Good drinks & great service. Got busy towards end for jazz night and our server for a little overwhelmed, but was still sweet and friendly! As for the vibe, I love all the photos around the place. There's a little stage on the side, not just for jazz night but apparently they hold events almost every night. Once it started getting dark out, it seemed more like an intimate jazz club with low, blue lights and table side lights & candles. Will definitely have to come back and try other items on the menu, it all sounded so good.“
“I ate here with a good friend of mine and the atmosphere was very nice, we got a wonderful booth next to the window and they work on a reservation system so heads up on that! The food overall was pretty good, my friend is a big fan of their broccoli but for me nothing stood out to me. Its a very Richmond hipster restaurant with taking elements from different cultures but with their own twist. The dessert however was great and the staff is wonderful so it makes me sad to see disrespectful costumers.“
“Love the aesthetic, food, and service here. We had the seafood tower which was hands down one of the most unique seafood towers we've had thus far. The ceviche was delish, as were the oysters and shrimp. We also had the burger and fries. The burger is gourmet and has very rich flavors. Will definitely be back.“
“Great find! The shareables are so good and a nice way to try things without getting a lot, but with several at a table you get plenty to eat. Food was great, tomato soup and grilled cheese was best I've had. Truffle devil eggs. Wow! Wattress was attentive, told us about different foods. Woll be back!“
“I love most of the food I've tried here except the thick crust deep dish pizza. My favorites are the buffalo wings; crispy and a little spicy delicious without being too hot, and the burgers - juicy and cooked to order on a thick toasted bun.The deep dish pizza tastes a bit too much like the lasagne for my liking but every other meal and appetizer I've had has been worth the trip. I'll have to try the thin crust pizza next time and see if it's more to my liking.“
“We came on a Saturday night for dinner. It was a bit unclear if you were to seat yourself or not, and the service was a bit slow due to how busy the bar was since a live band was starting soon. However, our experience overall was excellent. The biscuit is probably the best biscuit I've had at a restaurant, ever. Absolutely recommend. We tried three flavors of wings and all thought the gochujang was the most outstanding. The pinto beans, pickles, slaw, and chicken quesadilla were all flavorful and solid. We loved everything we tried.“
“This place was recommended by our AirB&B host and it was so good we will be going back before we leave! Between the coffee, food, juice and the atmosphere this place has 12/10 vibes, I tried the Black is Beautiful juice, croissant sandwich, and the breakfast burrito!“
“This is actually a pretty fun spot. Not overly crowded during the day which is nice but still has a great atmosphere. Staff were super duper friendly and made us feel welcome. The food was really good and their sausages are house made which is super cool! I definitely want to go back ?Parking: There are 8ish spaces I think?Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible“
“The atmosphere is excellent. It’s comfy and not loud but still has a good energy. There are purse hooks and outlets under the bar! And a lot of them.We ordered one of everything from the food menu. It was all very good but the stand outs are the spam sliders and popcorn.Great cocktail menu and prices. They have a $6 daily daiquiri that’s not just a happy hour special.I can see myself coming here often.Vegetarian options: It’s a small food menu but there are some vegetarian dishes.“
“Love that they have vegan and vegetarian options but they were just okay. I don’t recommend the vegan crab roll. Three fries were fantastic tho! The portions were great for what you pay. But the bathrooms were dirty and didn’t have soap.“
“Thirstys is a great dive bar great prices staff and atmosphere give it a try. The bar staff is great and the food is pretty tasty “loaded tater tots or fry’s is my go to” the trash can is great too nice pours and a good value give it a try you won’t be let down!“
“This is the best hot & sour soup I've had - it's the closest to that of a Chinese restaurant from my childhood. I immediately ordered another container of it to-go! The bbq pork fried rice has a wonderful smokey flavor. Fantastic service, my waiter was so kind!“
“I was there for a pottery pop up market, advertised as part of a pot-pub crawl in conjunction with the NCECA Pottery Convention in town- I of course had to pop in for a cocktail! I got the Blackberry Smash- which was delicious, even if I was freezing and wishing for a hot drink! lol. I also was intrigued with their specialty simple syrups- I sprung for a blackberry vanilla simple syrup to take home for cocktails! The bar was brightly lit, fun menu boards and quick service! Win win.“
“This is such a cute place by the canal! We went for dinner on Monday and had a lovely time. The food was delicious! I gave it 4 stars because I do wish their salad had a bit more to it besides lettuce (no, I did not have a Cesar). However, the mushrooms I added were seasoned and cooked really well. The queso, though!!! We scraped that bowl clean! Margaritas are top-notch, too! I had the blackberry and the fully loaded. I would get the blackberry over and over again. So good! Blake was our server, and his calm, patient demeanor was a breath of fresh air. He answered all our questions, provided great recommendations, and is very knowledgeable. I've seen some posts about auto gratuity and fees - we did not have any. When we paid, we could select a percentage for tip or type in any amount. I did get a paper receipt, and the only thing added was tax, as expected.“
“I’ve been to this place 3 times and got something different each time. The food is impressive! I would describe it as… gourmet bar food?! Even the hot dog I had was ground and cased, in house! They put thought and care into this food so I’d never label it ‘bar food’. Vegan and vegetarian options (my girlfriend loved) and I’m not talking about all the processed boxed stuff. It’s a great, comfortable experience and the people are so friendly!! I highly recommend it!“
“My wife was craving a good Mexican dinner and we gave this place a shot. OMG I'm so glad we did!!!! The drinks were perfect and the food is phenomenal. The service is above and beyond and we will be visiting here again very soon. If you get the chance make sure you stop here!!!!“
“We dropped in at The Park Friday night. We didn't really plan on staying long but were having a pretty good time and before we knew it, a couple hours had passed and we'd stayed for dinner. A fun crowd, good vibe, good food and our bartender, Taylor, knew how to keep everyone happy. Definitely will go back.“
“food was bomb. music was fire, like they playin that stuff for the ppl yfm? mimosa was on point. definitely coming back to complete the rest of the menu. Rasheeda was super nice and on top of it despite how busy it was when we ate. solid spot, you can’t lose with this one no “
“Love the vibes, local beers, super friendly & helpful staff (thanks Shane!), and I LOVE the housemade veggie burger. Always my go-to for late night burger & beer cheese cravings. Def planning on coming back for a Tuesday Eve game nightVegetarian options: You can sub a house-made veggie burger (SO good) or beyond burger for any menu burger (for a fee), and they have a handful of vegetarian appetizers/sides. Staff is accommodating and never forgets the modifications i ask for to make things veggie-friendly! Pretty good options compared to other burger bars around here.“
“I don't usually leave reviews, especially not for a place like an airport bar, but I feel compelled to comment on the service. The bartender, Rebecca, was engaging and attentive. Even though busy, drinks didn't sit empty. And even when people were rude, her demeanor didn't change. I was in a bad mood when I arrived, but she ended up making me smile more than once. She's impressive.“
“Wow excellent food. The food is authentic. The drinks are amazing. The drinks actually have alcohol. The place is very welcoming and the staff were really nice! I will be returning especially it’s 5 minutes away. I recommend if you want to eat good food and have a good drink with friends or family. It was so good that I didn’t even get a chance to take a picture ?Keep up the good work!!!“
“This is still a smoking bar (with a tiny back room for non-smoking to comply with law), so if you have a problem with smoke, stay away.Good is good, but just your basic bar food. Nothing really special, but it's always cooked well. Burgers are awesome. Wings are great, but beware. Even mild are VERY hot.Staff is wonderful. Friendly and prompt.Wheelchair accessibility: All one level. No steps and tables are spaced well, so easy to navigate.“
“Arrived at about 5:30 so I was able to park in front of the restaurant. The wife and I ordered the fried chicken wings with the sweet teriyaki sauce they were very good but my wife wish they would have had six flats and six wings. We also ordered shrimp and grits. That entree was creamy and a little bit of heat spice on the shrimp. And if you want to good stiff drink I recommend the wrecking ball. Our waitress was very helpful and charming, as was the bartender. The music in the venue kept you moving in your seat and it was audible but not overbearing. Overall, a very good experience.“
“I had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant during lunch. And it just so happened that it was Taco Tuesday! Beef tacos that are authentic and not skimpy, $1.50 each. I had the chili rellenos that came with a side order of Spanish rice refried beans soft tortilla shells and of course tortillas and salsa, before my meal came. I had iced tea which has free refills The service was impeccable! Very attentive! Checked at my table frequently, to see if I needed anything else. Gave me a to-go cup of iced tea as well as some tortilla chips and salsa to go for free. Highly recommend this restaurant! The prices are very reasonable and the portions are hugeVegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options availableParking: Multiple handicap spots right at the front door, and an abundance of free parking in front of the restaurant not on the street“
“My husband asked the bartender/head mixologist, Steve Yang, for a gin based dealer's choice and he made the most wonderful drink I've had in a long time. He called it "Some kind of wonderful" it had dill, yogurt, and some other stuff and tasted like some hard to find European candy. Awesome!“
“Absolutely fantastic! Tacos were exceptional. The Verde sauce on the chicken enchiladas was so flavorful. The flan we had for dessert was incredible. Combination of such wonderful food and margaritas with great service made perhaps the best meal I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant.“
