“In town for a soccer tournament this weekend and ended up at Daddio’s tonight. Had an awesome time. Great burgers, great bartenders, and my drink was never empty. We played Singo for a while and then karaoke started and the place really got going once the younger crowd came in. Everyone was singing, laughing, and just having a good time. Really fun vibe all around. If you’re around Henrico and looking for a fun place to hang out, definitely check it out. We’ll be back next time we’re in town.“

All I want for my birthday is some of the delicious pub grub from The Cask Cafe, and a growler or two of selections from the world’s (and Richmond’s) greatest brews. Ended up having our welcome dinner for our wedding here after the prior place we booked canceled on us last minute, and despite the stress, I am glad things worked out the way they did! The space is cozy and quirky in the best way, while still feeling sophisticated. The cocktails (including non-alcoholic options) are incredibly creative and delicious. The food is also good and matches the vibes of the drinks (we have friends still talking about the tacos and popcorn). The staff is top notch and always make us feel welcome. A great spot in Richmond and one we go back to regularly.“

“We had a small wedding reception at OCB and while I would recommend it as a venue, I’d also recommend writing down exact details of what you want the event to go like. I don’t know if we ended up with inexperienced staff or just an odd night, but nothing really went like it should have. We were told two bartenders but there was only one, they didn’t seem to know when to bring out the food even though we said it was an open buffet, we asked them to serve slices of a cake from the back and instead they just placed it on a tray in the front and our guests had to slice and serve themselves. Every time we met with Bill he reassured us they’d done so many events and wedding there that they had it down pat, but it definitely didn’t seem like they did. On the whole, I’m still glad we had our reception there. The venue is awesome and the food is amazing! I’ve always heard great things about people using them as catering at other venues.“

“Went here for an espresso martini, and maybe I had high expectations because it was a vodka bar, but it simply was not good! Tasted like vodka with plain coffee and that’s it. I didn’t even finish it, even though it came in a very small glass. Very disappointed.“

Get the pork and chicken dishes, and don’t forget the salads! The fries and appetizers are of course excellent options, but don’t sleep on the main menu. They have empanadas just on Sundays and Mondays currently and those are absolutely delicious!“

The atmosphere was delightful, enhanced by the duo playing holiday music; the food was excellent (as usual) but what made this a truly wonderful dining experience was the service. Our server, Trinity, was upbeat, efficient, and most of all really seemed to care if we were having a good meal. Without being intrusive, she checked on us several times to be sure we were doing ok. “Went to Hooked for the first time for my birthday. My husband and I went in a literal hour before they closed and we didn't feel rushed. Destiny was our waitress and so sweet and attentive. “I supprised my wife and took her for a early dinner on Sunday, September 6th, 2027. We had a 2:15 pm reservation, but arrived about 1:50 and were greated very warmly by one of the host. We we seated promptly in about the center of the room. And although the table wobbled a bit, we were ok. Our server, David appoligized because he had not greated us immediately but the place was very busy. We ordered three appitizers, buffalo shrimp, Tia Chili shrimp with the sauce on the side and corn bread cakes. Well. We should have and could have stopped right there because we received the largest, perfectly prepared shrimp that were served hot! They were magnificent!!!. The conrbread was to die for. We we had to do more so I ordered the fried smothered porkchops with mack and cheese, steweed tomatoes and french fries (why did I do that). My wife ordered the chicken liver and onions, collards and candied yams and we spean the rest of the meal eating off each others plates it was so good!. But we both had to tap out because we were stuffed. But did I stop their? No way, I ordered the half roasted chicken with two sides to go as well because I knew my wife would be hungry later that evening and would raid my plate and I wanted to enjoy the food one more time later that evening. I said all this because I pray that everyone has such a wonderful experience that I did. Also the staff really look out for one another and I really appreciated the diversity in the workers in the restaurant as well. Thanks Southern Kitchen we will be back.“
