All I want for my birthday is some of the delicious pub grub from The Cask Cafe, and a growler or two of selections from the world’s (and Richmond’s) greatest brews. Unfortunately, this will be via touch-free curbside pickup. I’d much rather sit at the bar and chat about the role of diacetyl in English pub bitters, or the varieties of Bohemian or Moravian hops available in commercial Czech lagers...but not this year. “This place is amazing. It was our first time there and they made the experience wonderful. The drinks and the food were fantastic. The restrooms were very clean. Staff was friendly and professional. We are going back in a few weeks and I can't wait. I recommend getting a ride to and from, most of the drink are strong and there is no need to be behind the wheel. “We had a small wedding reception at OCB and while I would recommend it as a venue, I’d also recommend writing down exact details of what you want the event to go like. I don’t know if we ended up with inexperienced staff or just an odd night, but nothing really went like it should have. We were told two bartenders but there was only one, they didn’t seem to know when to bring out the food even though we said it was an open buffet, we asked them to serve slices of a cake from the back and instead they just placed it on a tray in the front and our guests had to slice and serve themselves. Every time we met with Bill he reassured us they’d done so many events and wedding there that they had it down pat, but it definitely didn’t seem like they did. On the whole, I’m still glad we had our reception there. The venue is awesome and the food is amazing! I’ve always heard great things about people using them as catering at other venues.“

“Food was average at best. Out of everything including a cook. Actually closed the kitchen for about 30 minutes because cook was at end of shift and no one there to replace him. They are listed as a Priority Pass discounted restaurant and when asked, they looked at me like I was crazy. No clue.“

“Cirrus is simply the best! Went to have a couple cocktails with my wife. Bar snack mix was delicious, the Paloma, and the pickled briney boy were the best drinks I’ve had in Richmond! Tom Ellington and staff are outstanding. I enjoyed getting to know Andy and Winnie. Both super friendly and engaging with the customers. Could not ask for a better spot to have a cocktail!“

“We made reservations since we heard they were doing a Christmas Pop-Up theme. Went on a Sunday Evening and they had a good amount of people there watching football. Lots of screens and a large bar in the middle. They actually had 2 bars, just the second wasn't open. You can also get a beer card and serve yourself from a quite of number of taps they have on site paying by the ounce. The staff was top notch! From checking us in, which might have been a manager or owner whomever he was super. Our waiter was really great as well, matter of fact a couple, when we moved to the bowling another waiter made sure we were all set as well. Once a lane opened up the manager came over and got us all set. It's not a true duck pin lane, pins are on strings, but it was a lot of fun! They even have order a pizza and get 2 games free. Place is pretty big. Lots of seating, especially for large groups and near the second bar they had it all set up for a private event being catered. Large patio. Lots of fun, food was good, great place to check out a game and have a drink.“

“It’s not much really to say other than Mexican Margaritas Bar & Grill is the real deal! From the amazing service down to the delicious food and tasty drinks, we had a very enjoyable experience. The arroz con steak is so good! The tortillas literally melted in my mouth. Even the chips and salsa are good. Two things to note: serving size is smaller than usual and it’s a little on the pricier side for TexMex but worth it. Will more than likely become a regular.“

Walked in expecting the usual routine: dim lights, confident smiles, expensive drinks. Walked out a little dazed…
I ended up meeting Cora, and I’m so happy I did. Easygoing, sharp, and knows exactly how to keep a room’s attention without trying too hard.
Dropped a few grand in the VIP room and honestly didn’t care. She made every minute very worth it.

“After this place has been on “RVA Restaurants to Try” list for about 3 years, this was our first time eating at Fat Dragon, but it certainly not be our last! The wonton soup was the best my mother has ever tasted…keep in mind, she’s traveled all over the world. The ginger dressing was so delicious, I asked the server if they sold it in bottles. The garlic chicken and basil beef were both so tender and flavorful, I would highly recommend them both. And last but not least, our server was great! Do not wait to try this place like I did!!!! “We had an early Christmas Eve dinner at The Boathouse at Rocketts Landing. It was one of the best meals that we have had in Richmond. The atmosphere was delightful, enhanced by the duo playing holiday music; the food was excellent (as usual) but what made this a truly wonderful dining experience was the service. Our server, Trinity, was upbeat, efficient, and most of all really seemed to care if we were having a good meal. Without being intrusive, she checked on us several times to be sure we were doing ok. She is absolutely outstanding!“

“Casa del Branco was such a gem! The location right on the canal is adorable — I sat inside, and the space was beautifully decorated and full of charm. It’s definitely a cute spot for a date night or dinner with friends.

That said, the real highlight was the food. I ordered the margarita flight and had so much fun trying their specials — 10/10 experience if you can’t decide on just one flavor.

We started with the traditional queso and chips. It was good overall, just a little thick in consistency for my preference, but still tasty.

The absolute star of the night was the carne asada fries — perfection. You could truly taste the char from the grill on the meat, and the flavors were incredible. Easily my favorite dish.

We finished with the dynamite shrimp tacos and steak tacos, and both were so good. Every bite was packed with flavor.

The portions were generous — we ordered for two people and still had plenty left over. I truly enjoyed the entire meal and will absolutely be returning. Highly recommend!“
