“How can this place not be among top 2 places in Short Pump? Wierd algorithms perhaps? For us, atmosphere is half of any dining experience. This place has it going on. On a chilly day, they had the open fire/fireplace going in the front dining area. Smelled and looked beautiful! The chili shrimp tostada was awesome as light happy hour starter. The wood-fired pizzas are the best around (just my opinion), particularly the spicy sausage with black pepper honey variety. Sweet with heat. Crispy edges on the pizza from the high temp oven. Love everything about this place and will return. Oh, solid craft beer options, too.“
“We ordered the Mother's Day Brunch for 6 as opposed to going out to the expensive MD brunches around town for a change. The food was truly excellent in all respects and we have enough left for two more meals. And we saved a ton of money. I cannot say enough about the food at Ray's. Truly exceptional.“
“Casual brunch was fresh and tasty. Service was quick and friendly. Casual come as you are atmosphere is always nice. Nothing negative to say. Crab cakes Benedict was good. Monte Cristo also good. Nothing life changing here, but a good spot for a breakfast, brunch, or lunch.“
“Went with friends and had an overall positive experience. The food was good and the server was very on top of things. Our only problem was that the music was painfully and excessively loud. We did go during live music night but it was a lot and had us discussing going somewhere else for the next night out.“
“I came here for a work event and we were directed to the event space. I got the short rib and a couple others got the salmon. Both were wonderful.Drinks were a little slow but heavily poured and made for a lively evening. The night was made by the service given by Rylee. She took the time to connect with everybody and made us all feel welcome while giving wonderful service. Her patience and expertise made the night a wonderful experience!“
“Attended the Wade Cellars wine tasting hosted here by Chef Mike Lindsey and it was phenomenal. The restaurant is on the smaller side, but very well put together, inviting, and has charm.I haven't tried menu items from Jubilee yet, but after this experience, we will definitely be back!“
“First time here while in town visiting a friend for weekend and it’s safe to say, I’ll definitely come back!! The Caprese was absolutely delicious with the Buffalo mozzarella as the star and the Braised Beef tacos with the Roasted Beets were divine!“
“10/10 experience. I had the biscuit and gravy, sage sausage, caramelized onion potato hash and nitro coffee. Everything was priced great and Selim was the most welcoming bartender. The cook in the back was killing it. Presentation on point. We were from out of town and I will definitely stop here again. Thank you so much for the experience.“
“The Roosevelt is one of my go to places cause it’s close to me and I love everything about it. My favorite dish there is the pork butt and I will have to tell you when I went two nights ago I ordered it and the collard greens that comes with it were so salty they were inedible. I’ve never had that problem before and I’m just hoping that our server let the chef know to be a little lighter on the salt. They were so salty that it took away from the taste of the collard greens. Otherwise everything’s wonderful.“
“I ordered take-out, quesabirria and shrimp ceviche. The food was good, the service was good also. I'm a southern California native, where I've had some of the best Mexican food, so for me this restaurant received 4-stars. I will be back with friends and family.“
“drinks were great, atmosphere and service was great. however, I ordered the crab cakes and they were the worst. so salty, I really thought that canned tuna, not crabmeat was the main ingredient. I was there for a friend's birthday and didn't want to ruin the vibe by complaining to our server but y'all really need to take them off the menu.“
“Nice place to get a good variety of Asian dishes, big bowl of Ramens, and cocktails. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive.Unless you like squid, I wouldn’t recommend the Takoyaki from the New Special Menu. None of my kids would eat them. Other than the texture of squid, they were pretty good. Pad Thai was OK, lacked flavor. We enjoyed Sechuan Rice Noodle Soup. Boom Boom Shrimp was very yummy. The sauce of Thai Mussels was too sour for my taste. Overall, the menu was exciting, presentation was nice, but the dishes lacked of their true flavor.“
“This place is really cute. If you have ever been to the to the other side of the world, this place truly reminds you of it. Atleast it did for my husband and I. We ate pok pok wings, lemongrass soup, and pineapple stir fry. All were delicious! The drinks were awesome too. They had exotic mocktails and different cocktails than any other restaurant we had ever been to. The waitress was very sweet and everyone was pleasant there. It was also very affordable. I highly recommend going here for dinner!“
“The atmosphere is excellent. It’s comfy and not loud but still has a good energy. There are purse hooks and outlets under the bar! And a lot of them.We ordered one of everything from the food menu. It was all very good but the stand outs are the spam sliders and popcorn.Great cocktail menu and prices. They have a $6 daily daiquiri that’s not just a happy hour special.I can see myself coming here often.Vegetarian options: It’s a small food menu but there are some vegetarian dishes.“
“Absolutely amazing. Our waitress and waitress.in training were nothing less of exceptional. The food came with a quickness and was absolutely delicious. Before I could even get my tea half way down I had another one. This is THE PLACE TO BE!!!!!“
“Dinner with a friend at The Savory Grain. Early reservations for two and were seated immediately. It had been a long time since I had been out so we really wanted to talk over drinks before ordering so I checked with our waitress that this was ok. We did not want to tie up her table if a turnover was needed. She encouraged us to relax and go at our own pace and asked us to let her know when we were ready to order since she did not want to keep interrupting us. A couple of happy hour beers in we ordered the fried green tomatoes appetizer, shrimp and grits entree, and the meatloaf entree. The beer was nice and cold, the food was absolutely amazing. The appetizer arrived long enough before the entree for us to enjoy it. The entrees were generous enough that we both brought home leftovers and mine became my husband’s dinner. I could not have asked for a nicer evening out.“
“Truly a five star experience! From the homemade cornbread, decadent pimento cheese fried green tomatoes, to the fish stewed in sweet potato puree and finally the the toffee cake with homemade ice cream; this place is an absolute treat. Excellent service and food.“
“First of all, the decor is so cute. I highly recommend the cocktail that is mango juice and soju. Goes down way too easy in a way that is dangerous to my bank account. They also have great vegetarian options. My partner loves their veg hot and sour soup (it has a nice kick to it). I got some form of noodles with broccoli and there were roasted pine nuts in it that was a perfect addition!“
“This was a lovely place and I totally love this idea of sharing space like a food court. I went to the Greek food spot and I absolutely loved it. I’m from Philly and this place makes me want to move here. The young man that was at the counter was super friendly and fast. My lunch was perfect.“
“What a cool establishment worth visiting, and revisiting. Several different options are available, and from what I hear others come and go frequently. Fat Kid Sandwiches has a decent Philly. Good price, good flavor, and different size options. The atmosphere was a relaxing vibe. Bar in the center for adult beverages and outdoor seating areas when the weather cooperates.“
“Food was solid bar fare. Service could have been a disaster but somehow Tyler was able to keep things moving despite being the only server in the crowded restaurant. He did an excellent job communicating and managing expectations. 5 stars for him!“
“We love Barrio Taqueria! We stopped in tonight for a bite and drinks before a show at The Altria Theater. It was delightfully busy for a Tuesday late afternoon/ early evening. The service was fantastic, the drinks were perfect, the food was SOOOO tasty, and the atmosphere is what we LOVE about Richmond eateries - unique, fun, slightly industrial and vintage inspired! We highly recommend the nachos with carnitas, the baja tacos, the taco fries, and the carnitas quesadilla. Great happy hour deals!“
“The location, vibe are excellent. Very spacious, so even if it gets crowded it doesn't feel that tight. Great collection of beers and cocktails. You get great discounts during happy hours (weekdays 3-7 pm). Cocktails and classy beers get very cheap. However I didn't like the food that much. I ordered 3 starters (as in pics) and all of them were not up to the markParking: You need to find street parking in the vicinity. Might need to walk 1-2 blocks.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, accessible.“
“I was "wowed" by the great service and the food offerings are excellent. Gather and Hem is a comfortable bar and dining area. They have a range of options for all foodies. They offer special cocktails as well. Highly recommend for locals or visitors!“
“Catherine & I went to Pig & Brew on Saturday and had a very good time. The food was good, the drinks was very good and I enjoyed the experience . The staff was great and the food was on point. I will make this restaurant one of my favorites.“
“The atmosphere is incredible. Food was delicious. Service was exceptional. I’m so glad I ended up here. The only critique I have is it would be nice if there was a kids menu. It’s not too hard to put that together. Server made recommendations that were $20+ for a kid which wasn’t ideal.“
“The food was excellent! I literally ordered my food on a Sunday during brunch and it came out four minutes later! I ended up getting the raspberry lemon drop and that was so good and so cute. The way the bartender made it. When I got there, there were about six other tables that were full, but there was literally no weight. The waitress was also very friendly, and they came around to make sure we were OK every 10 minutes or so which I thought was great. They also told me that on Sundays they have happy hour all day so the drinks ended up being five dollars and then the other drinks on the other side of the menu were four dollars off.“
