Hi,
I wanted to reach out regarding a very disappointing experience I had today at Boil Bay. I visit often and was especially excited to use the gift card I received for winning the Halloween contest. Unfortunately, part of my order was missing, specifically the wings, which forced me to split 12 wings among three other people.
I attempted to call multiple times and also sent Facebook messages, which were seen but not answered for over 30 minutes. When I finally spoke...read full review
We had a party of 6 for a 6p reservation. We arrived at 550pm. We did not get seated until 640pm. After asking three different people for water, we finally received water at 715pm (three of us did, we had to ask again for water for the other three). Once we ordered the food came out quickly. Paying was another challenge and we just walked up front to pay since our waitress disappeared again. We asked for the manager at the outset and she did everything in her power to avoid speaking...read full review
AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!
We made reservations for Mother’s Day and when we arrived, it took 20 minutes to get seated. Granted, the staff was accommodating because a member of our party was late. With that being said, the service by the server we had was HORRIBLEEEE. Idk if this was her first day or not but she did not know the drink list, what they had on draft or any knowledge of alcoholic beverages. She also had very little knowledge of the food menu and couldn’t...read full review

Boil Bay Cajun Seafood and Bar offers a variety of seafood dishes, featuring delicious shrimp and fried foods. The decor is beautiful, but the restaurant can be very dark. Recently, there have been mixed experiences with the blue bay crabs, which some found to be gray and smelling rancid, although the staff was accommodating in replacing them with shrimp. The service can be slow, and while some customers have had good drink experiences, others noted that drinks often taste like mixers without much alcohol. Karaoke is available, but some customers have experienced long wait times.
The restaurant has a lowkey vibe, and the food and drinks are excellent. The staff, including Jen and Mimi, are hospitable and ensure the meal keeps getting better. However, the atmosphere can be noisy, especially on late weekend nights when it can turn into a lively club-like setting with dancing, drinking, and music that some may find offensive. Overall, Boil Bay remains a popular spot for seafood lovers, with decent seafood boils and good portion sizes, making it a place worth recommending, though the experience may vary depending on the time and day of the visit.
