“Very great customer service. Even though the store was extremely busy (sports team + lunch rush) We had amazing service and speed getting our food. Lexie (took our order) had great composure despite the volume of people. She was very helpful and extremely kind!! Keep up great work thank you for the smiles :)Dietary restrictions: Very compliant and understanding about food allergies. Offers way to exclude and prevent contact from allergens.“
“Front counter staff is friendly and quick and if you've been there, you've likely met the owner, Olaf. He takes great care of his guests. The place is super clean with tons of seating. Clearly, everyone has found out about it because it's busier every time I go—and I almost always run into someone I know. But there's still plenty of seating. High-quality coffee and food, great atmosphere, and you're supporting a local small business.“
“First Watch is one of our favorite places to grab a late, leisurely bite on the weekends or a sneaky breakfast after the bus run. Whether they are packed or we're the only guests, the staff is amazing and the food is always great! I don't think I've had the same thing twice yet because it all sounds so good and I haven't been disappointed yet! Thank you for the consistent hospitality!“
“We visited around mid morning, 930a or so. The cafe is a small hole in the wall, but with a calm, homey atmosphere and plenty of seating. The staff seemed pretty young, but they made quaint small talk and expressed interest in their customers needs and preferences. We ordered the latte flights, which were served and cute little maybe 4-6oz glasses and the flavors switch out seasonally. They were brought to us pretty quickly and were informed which was which, our server was also quick to ask if we wanted water with them which we gladly took. My only complaint is we were never offered straws at any point, but it is posted that the restaurant has environmentally conscious goals with single serve and reusable items. We ordered the fully loaded omelette and the chicken biscuit, but with a side of the homestyle potatoes. The omelette was definitely fully loaded with a variety of veggies and hot. The chicken biscuit didn’t quite hit the mark. While the biscuit is plentiful in size and flavor, it was dry and tough to get through. The fried chicken was hot and served between the biscuit with two thick slices of cheese. There was no sauce served with it or on the biscuit, but I’m pretty sure it was listed to have something from the description on the menu. Again, it had good flavor and a plentiful portion, but the biscuit was not warm at all while the chicken had been just fried and it was terribly dry. The potatoes also had good seasoning, but were not even close to room no on the plate. Service was great, food was okay but not worth the price, and the atmosphere was very comfortable. It had the flare of upscale with their ideas, but missed the mark with room temp food. Had the biscuit been warmed and served with a sauce, it would’ve been lovely.Vegetarian options: Lots of options for veggie based meals or substitutions“
“So happy I finally got to try this place! The biscuits were huge and some of the best I've ever had. The Firebird was tasty, and the shiitake mushroom gravy was out of this world. I was a bit sad that they didn't include whipped cream and strawberries for my French Toast Biscuits. They were very pretty online- a heads up would have been nice....since I paid for it! It is a little on the pricey side but the portions are huge. Come hungry!Vegetarian options: The shiitake mushroom gravy is AMAZING. A must try!“
“The macaroni had large portions and the sandwiches were nice. There was a piece of spinach that was bad on one of my sandwiches, but it wasn't the end of the world. The variety was nice, it was cool to get to try two kinds of sandwich for the price of one. Great garlic bread.“
“I ordered meals for the first time this week and I'm impressed, and so is my husband who normally doesn't care for pre-made meals. The people who have left reviews speaking of bland flavors and lack of sodium, etc. most likely aren't accustomed to this type of concept. I've been eating pre-made healthy meals for at least a decade and a lack of sodium is absolutely expected- a lot of people are looking for specific sodium counts and that's who they're appealing to. It's so incredibly easy to add your own salt. As far the "blandness" goes, I haven't had that issue with any meal I've tried this week.“
“The best indian food in the area, taste wise, quality wise and price wise. Really wondering how they can maintain such a good quality at such an affordable price. Their layered Kerala parotta is the best in the state of Virginia. Also, to mention very tender goat and chicken in the different preparations. They serve food in disposable wares.“
“I review thousands of restaurants all over the country but this place out of all I've ever been to deserves a "James Beard Award" Chef Jeremy puts together fresh local ingredients and unique flavor combinations that are truly innovative. Add in the attached wine and local craft beer store, the reasonable food prices and great friendly staff this place is a true winner.“
