“I’ve been wanting to check this place out for awhile. We stopped by this past Friday night to grab dessert on the way home after having dinner in shockoe bottom. Felt welcome as soon as we walked in. I could see this is a spot locals love. I let her know my son only wanted dessert and she didn’t hesitate to recommend Momma Doc’s. He ended up ordering the brownie sundae. Let me tell you, it must’ve been delicious cause he scarfed it down like he hadn’t eaten all night 😂. We will definitely be back. The menu was extensive, and the vibe was chill.“

“This was my first time staying at this hotel, and despite its proximity to the airport, is very quiet inside and out. The room I had was impeccably clean, comfortable, with everything in sound working order. The room furnishings were great, and I really liked the bedside connectively, including conventional power outlets and USB ports on both sides of the bed. I did place an order at the Bistro, the in-house restaurant. And the food I ordered was excellent. The location is nice enough, and within walking distances to several restaurants. However, the only parking lot entrances are the two street sides ones off of Williamsburg Road, and there isn't one that is off the road that leads to a couple other hotels. It would be nice if there was. It's just a minor quibble though. As for the hotel staff, they were courteous and helpful. Overall, I was impressed with the hotel, and can see myself staying here again in the future.“

“This was my first time at Waffle House last week at 1:40 am after my flight came in from Richmond, the breakfast sandwiches were fire and the lady that worked the walk up counter was very sweet.

It was so good I decided to get it at 3pm before my flight home today. The biscuit and gravy was on point. 10/10 I NEED WH in the PNW. Make it happen WAFFLE HOUSE!“

“Well researched food, solidly composed cocktails, and a warm interior make The Roosevelt one of the most talked about restaurants in RVA currently. Chef Leah is as much a researcher as she is a good chef. Being a long time food writer who has been on assignment in many kitchens, its no surprise to me that Leah has carved out a reputation for herself in Richmond recently. She sources a lot from local farmers, adheres often to seasonal common sense, and takes inspiration from her reading and research on Soul Food, Southern food, and Virginia food. I wouldn't classify prices at The Roosevelt as cheap but also wouldn't classify them as extravagant either. Marketed by many as a "neighborhood spot" I always see The Roosevelt as a great date night spot, particularly for those who might fancy themselves foodies. Congrats to Leah and The Roosevelt on their recent James Beard nod. In my opinion, well deserved.“

“Food was average at best. Out of everything including a cook. Actually closed the kitchen for about 30 minutes because cook was at end of shift and no one there to replace him. They are listed as a Priority Pass discounted restaurant and when asked, they looked at me like I was crazy. No clue.“

“We're visiting from Utah and wanted to try a local spot for breakfast. We were there around 10:30 on a weekday and it luckily wasn't too busy. There are so many options for sweet and savory and my husband and I both found tasty options. The waffles are big and fully loaded, so I'd recommend ordering a half waffle and the specialty fraffle was very tasty as well.“

-To me it's an intimate venue as you are close to the stage.
-They do have a bar on both levels.
-Parking can be tricky. Suggest arriving early to secure a good parking spot around the area.

I also tried the iced tea, which was really good. The seating on the deck had a stunning view, and the waiters were very nice. “I had the most amazing time there last night! The vibes were great with good food options and I had the most amazing server named Justine! She made me feel like I was the only one she had to serve and went above and beyond for all my needs and the needs for others not even in her section. The hookah was great and the drinks are pretty good and alil strong but I loved it! The food was good I got the wagyu sliders and the parm crusted lamb chops with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese but my only complaint is the Mac and cheese the cheese was a bit curdled and separated from the noodles and didn’t have any flavor but everything else was great!“

“Finally located the place from MAPQUEST satellite search! NO SIGNAGE seen on US60. Dined there yesterday and had the best food. Everyone in my party was more than pleased with their meals. A variety of sports were shown on the widely visible TV screens. The restaurant is good sized. I would definitely go out of my way to stop in Quinton again. Well worth it!!!“

“I cannot praise David enough for the phenomenal experience he provided us on August 9th. Our group of 7 unexpectedly grew to 11 people on a very busy night and the host handled the sudden change swiftly by getting us a new table. Even though our seating was a bit tight which was entirely our fault for the last minute headcount increase the staff accommodated us graciously and David made the whole evening feel effortless. What blew our minds is that David told us this was only his eighth day serving! As a table full of veteran food industry servers ourselves we were all utterly shocked because David carried himself and paced our meal like a seasoned pro with years of experience. He greeted us immediately kept our drinks and bread coming swiftly and read our table's energy with incredible emotional intelligence knowing exactly when to check in when we needed more time to decide and giving fantastic menu recommendations. He paced our appetizers entrees and desserts to absolute perfection and despite the cramped table space he managed to clear every single plate with total grace and zero interruption to our conversation. To top it all off it was my friend's birthday and David made it genuinely special. She is still talking about how it was her best birthday ever and a huge part of that is thanks to him. Even though it is a 45 minute drive for me including the traffic on I-64 I will gladly make the trip back and specifically ask for David's section because he turned a potentially chaotic large party dinner into an unforgettable night. “This Mom & Pop spot opened recently in Prince George, VA. Close to Ft. Lee, it's a great option to all of the fast food places. “My family and I took my Mother there for her 91st birthday. In all there were 14 of us. The staff took great care of us. We ordered from the brunch menu. Everyone one of us had a wonderful time. The food was tasty, chef (AJ) even came out to say Happy Birthday to his Grandmother! Several of us said we will return again. The dinner menu looks amazing I wanted to stay for dinner but I had to head home and I was too full from brunch. I wish Sweet P's much success!“
