“We had dinner at Chef's Kitchen tonight, Feb. 21st. Our waiter Ben was amazing, as was the food. We started with the Burrata and Dumplings, both of which were mouth watering and glorious. My greatest fear is that those dumplings will haunt my dreams forever. I could probably eat them daily. I am telling you it was a religious experience. If not a religious experience then possibly a spiritual experience. I believe if Anthony Bourdain ate here he would have something pithy and wonderful to say. Something cultured and refined. For an entree we both had the braised duck gnocchi which was pillowy, creamy, and delicious. We paired the meal with a Cab Franc from barboursville which was decently priced and absolutely sublime. Give this place an opportunity. Eat here. My wife and I both agree that it is the best meal we have shared together in many years. Oh and ask for Ben and tip him well. He's the man.“

“This has become a biweekly staple within my family. My daughter has even started to request light lemon pepper wings. The restaurant is always clean and the staff is friendly, especially Islam. He always makes sure our food is just as we ordered. I would definitely recommend this location.“

“Well researched food, solidly composed cocktails, and a warm interior make The Roosevelt one of the most talked about restaurants in RVA currently. Chef Leah is as much a researcher as she is a good chef. Being a long time food writer who has been on assignment in many kitchens, its no surprise to me that Leah has carved out a reputation for herself in Richmond recently. She sources a lot from local farmers, adheres often to seasonal common sense, and takes inspiration from her reading and research on Soul Food, Southern food, and Virginia food. I wouldn't classify prices at The Roosevelt as cheap but also wouldn't classify them as extravagant either. Marketed by many as a "neighborhood spot" I always see The Roosevelt as a great date night spot, particularly for those who might fancy themselves foodies. Congrats to Leah and The Roosevelt on their recent James Beard nod. In my opinion, well deserved.“

“Food was average at best. Out of everything including a cook. Actually closed the kitchen for about 30 minutes because cook was at end of shift and no one there to replace him. They are listed as a Priority Pass discounted restaurant and when asked, they looked at me like I was crazy. No clue.“

“We're visiting from Utah and wanted to try a local spot for breakfast. We were there around 10:30 on a weekday and it luckily wasn't too busy. There are so many options for sweet and savory and my husband and I both found tasty options. The waffles are big and fully loaded, so I'd recommend ordering a half waffle and the specialty fraffle was very tasty as well.“

-To me it's an intimate venue as you are close to the stage.
-They do have a bar on both levels.
-Parking can be tricky. Suggest arriving early to secure a good parking spot around the area.

I also tried the iced tea, which was really good. The seating on the deck had a stunning view, and the waiters were very nice. “Caught up with an old friend I hadn’t seen since around ’95/’96 over lunch on 6/17/2025. I’m not usually a downtown Richmond person—city crowds just aren’t my thing—but I’m really glad he suggested this spot. I made the drive from King William, and it was absolutely worth it! The food was fantastic, and the laid-back atmosphere made it the perfect place to reconnect. I had the pork carnitas with a Caesar side salad—super flavorful, and the pork was incredibly tender. The Caesar dressing? Easily one of the best I’ve ever had. I’d love to know if it was homemade or store-bought, because I need it in my life! Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a relaxed and cool meeting spot. I’m already planning to explore more RIC gems soon!“

“I had the most amazing time there last night! The vibes were great with good food options and I had the most amazing server named Justine! She made me feel like I was the only one she had to serve and went above and beyond for all my needs and the needs for others not even in her section. The hookah was great and the drinks are pretty good and alil strong but I loved it! The food was good I got the wagyu sliders and the parm crusted lamb chops with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese but my only complaint is the Mac and cheese the cheese was a bit curdled and separated from the noodles and didn’t have any flavor but everything else was great!“

“A friends group from our Church went to the Heilman Dining Hall~ our first visit there. The staff was truly amazing ~ each staff member greeted us with a smile as they welcomed us. We were shown where every item was at, explained at eat hot bar what was available & what cook be cook personalized. The staff checked on us periodically through our meals. The hall was so nice that we stayed and visited from 11:00 am~ 2:00 pm we all are going to visit often and tell our family & friends … every food item was delicious. 150 % customer satisfaction“

A wonderful restaurant, filled with fantastic dining options and an incredible relaxing but yet monumental experience. From the historical decor to the finest detail of modern adaptions. The wait staff are very friendly. The food is a perfect texture and the seasonings compare very well to all their classic dishes.

The night club is also wonderful. A elegant twist on a raging night of fun. The vibe is always good and drinks are flowing. Even if there are some nights where few show up near holidays. The music is MOSTLY of electronic DJ mixes, could use a bit more variety. Definitely the most popular night club in richmond!“

“I can always get a good large salad here-I love their Ceasar salad. The ingredients are always fresh and tasty. This time I got a cheeseburger, which was juicy and nicely done. The server was very efficient, attentive and friendly. It's a bit noisy, but it was a busy night for them. The prices are reasonable, and the menu has a wide selection.“
