“Splits the difference between "down-home cookin" and "haute cuisine" and does a masterful job of it. There's something for everyone on the menu, and all of it is great. Particularly pleased to see no "cruelty food" (e.g. fois gras) or baby animals (veal, lamb) on the menu. Thanks for that.“
“We arrived around noon on a Sunday in February. We were greeted promptly and were allowed to pick our own table. It was fairly busy but there were several tables open. It is deceiving from the exterior, because it’s actually a nice ambience with, by gosh, real tablecloths. There is a nice bar area and then a couple of separate areas with tables. Our waitress was prompt and friendly. Service was good and the food was delivered in a reasonable amount of time. For lunch, my spouse ordered the Sailor sandwich, and I ordered the Cuban. The Sailor came stuffed with pastrami, knockwurst and baby swiss on rye. The Cuban had slow roasted pulled pork, Virginia pit ham, smoked provolone, dill pickles and dijonnaise. Both were tasty but the Sailor was the winner – that knockwurst knocked it out of the park! The french fries were lightly breaded, and they were hot and delicious. Prices are average for the area. Highly recommend!“
“The atmosphere upon arrival was awesome. The rest of the stay, I cannot say the same. The game overall was great for first timers. Although our waiter was less than satisfactory. He asked us if we had been there before and we stated no. He then proceeded to ask for our orders on drinks and didn't even take time to explain how things worked. He came to our table about 4 times total and one of those times was to tell us that our time was up. He then proceeded to tell us that it was our fault and something would've came up on our screen. Which was not the case. Would recommend this place again, although I hope the next time is a much better experience. Btw ...make sure you're not in the booth 329...that's two high tops and not a lounge. Also, explore your options with wait staff, Jason was sweet but he was too distracted and was not a great listener.“
“Excellent food with great service, but I couldn't figure out how to get the jukebox to work. The milkshakes were stand out, but the portions were enormous. We were both absolutely stuffed after having a burger and shake a piece, and my wife couldn't quite finish her fries.“
“Very unassuming from the outside; we've driven past many times, thinking "we should try it one day".We shouldn't have waited so long. Food is delicious, and the chef is outstanding. Really well done on all accounts. 100% coming back.“
“Overall Rating: 6.1/10The burger joint offers tasty food and has a nice ambiance, complemented by friendly staff.Service: 5.9/10The cleanliness and friendliness at this place were up to standard. However, the lack of physical menus created a bottleneck, particularly when customers in front were indecisive. This setup didn’t allow for efficient ordering or space for others to review the menu board comfortably. A lot of the tables were dirty but eventually someone went out and cleaned them off.Food:Cheeseburger: 6.1/10A decent burger that meets the basic expectations, similar in quality to what you'd find at other burger spots, without standing out particularly.Loaded Fries: 6.8/10These were a highlight, featuring a good blend of cheese and bacon atop decently crisp fries.Onion Rings: 3.5/10A letdown as the breading didn't adhere to the oversized onion slices, leading to a side that was just thrown away.“
“Ursula was the best waitress I've had in the city! She knew the menu backwards and forwards, every recommendation she made was right on the money, and she made me feel extra comfortable. This was a great way to spend my Fiancée birthday!“
“We love the Brick House! My wife and I eat there at least once a week. Run by a wonderful Greek family...Vic and Nick are the best. Can't wait for their new home at Westchester....the owner of the current building wouldn't renew their lease, oh well...their loss as they will never get a tenant better than the Brick House! If you go, don't leave without trying Mom's homemade bread pudding...best kept secret in Midlothian .. well...maybe I should have kept that secret :-)“
“I believe the best waffle I ever had. Compote was great, and cheese grits. Our server was great with a good sense of humor. There was no wait and I wish I lived closer so I could visit more. Atmosphere was very loud, I know some people like that but not me.“
“I know that Malito’s has been a staple in the west end for a very long time but this was the first time we ever went there. It was fabulous. I had the 2 chili dog meal and they reminded me of being a kid again. My son had the club sandwich which was easily 2 meals worth of food. Beer price was a bit high but otherwise it was a great place to go and we will be back.“
“Very nice little restaurant on the side of the road. Enjoyed spending time with old friends and acquaint family style southern restaurant. Everything was a bit salty to my taste, but overall enjoyable for a home cooked meal of southern charm. Make sure you're paying attention because you can drive right past it“
“I don't love being sat outside with nowhere to place my purse unless I literally just plop it on the concrete ground. The ambience is non existent but we're still praying the same bill. They've also stopped serving the Chipotle salsa with the chips & guac and that was a let down.“
“We hosted a bridal luncheon in the private room at Tazza Kitchen -Alverser Plaza today. Because we live out of state arranging a luncheon for 25 people can be a challenge. The crew at Tazza made it so easy. Their private room was perfect for our party - a casual vibe which Tazza let us personalize by adding our own tablecloths and flowers. They provided all of the information we needed, helped us set up for our luncheon, provided yummy food and superb service. Allie and team, thank you for all of your help making our event seamless and fun. It was outstanding!“
“Beautiful location with indoor and outdoor dining. Friendly staff and amazing food, very consistent. I highly recommend the seafood. You can dress up or down. Versatile but they are professional. The only thing to consider is the food is delicious but the portions are very small for the price.“
“Great neighborhood bar. Very friendly managers, wait staff, and bartenders. Food is pretty good - standard sports bar fare, but maybe a notch above. Best value: loaded nachos (you can add on toppings for a little extra) and chicken tenders (nice and meaty and not greasy.) Worst value: DO NOT waste your money on the Buffalo wings. You basically get a plate full of tiny overcooked wings that will make you think "this must be what chicken jerky tastes like." Really disappointing dish for what's otherwise a pretty darned good "Cheers" kind of place.“
“Ask for the back room if you like a quieter space where you can more easily have a conversation. Our server was a dream - perfectly attentive, accommodating, and polite to my aging and innocently intoxicated parents. The food ranged from good to exceptionally good. We tried a variety of surf-and-turf entrees with sides like cheesy potatoes, broccolini, and shoe string fries. Members of our party ordered steaks in every temperature - medium rare, medium well, and well done. Every steak was delicious and perfectly cooked. When the manager came to check on us later in the meal, it wasn't the typical low energy drive-by, but a genuine interest and calming presence that stayed just long enough before floating on to the next table. Kudos to this restaurant and their excellent staff.“
“We really enjoyed a great breakfast with family. Service was fast and friendly. The French toast special was so fantastic, we attacked it! Cooked our eggs to perfection, and bacon was delicious, tasty, and cooked properly.Wheelchair accessibility: A couple of handicap parking spots directly in front of the building.“
“This place never disappoints. We started out a little early for our reservation in the bar. The service was great, and the drinks were on point. We moved upstairs for dinner to continue our evening.. The food was perfectly prepared, and our waitress took great care of us. Keep up the great work!“
“This was my 2nd time eating at River City Diner! Will definitely come back soon!Pros: Great Breakfast, Sweet Potato Fries, Reuben Sandwiches, Ice type, Timeless Decoration, and Service.Cons: General Cleanliness could be better, no fried egg option for burgers, Single Reubens can be soggy on the bottom, Pepsi Product Only.Overall: Highly Recommend making a stop at River City Diner! Grab a Triple Reuben or any Breakfast Entree and you will be very happy! The Turkey Reuben is a fantastic twist on the corn beef classic!(Triple Reuben: Three pieces of Bread)Parking: Plenty of free and easy to park in parking spots.Kid-friendliness: Engaging and entertaining environment, and kid friendly meal options as well as discount on certain days for kids. Please make sure your kids don’t get syrup every where.Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of Handicap Parking spots close to the door!“
“Great time! Taco Tuesday is where it's at! They gave Brad a fancier mule cup than mine, but you know it was before I got there, so no hard feelings. Went for a work outting but would visit on another day to watch a game if that was my thing.“
“I had lunch with a friend last Friday. This was the first time for me. Our service was perfect & this was with a girl in training. I had the Crispy Cobb Salad & added grilled chicken. It was delicious & I ate half & took the other home. Large, great salad. I am anxious to go again with my husband. I know he'll enjoy it. Pat“
“OMG.. First Time and it was Amazing.. Jessica was an Awesome waitress her smile and knowledge of the menu was very refreshing for us being first timers.. The Food Hands DOWN Grreat.. ❤️ I we'll be back and I'll be referring people to you..“
“We had made a reservation for a group of 12. Tables had been set up prior to our arrival, a server was ready to help us.Service was excellent, the food came out almost simultaneously, and in a timely manner.I think that everyone was pleased with their food; I certainly was, and I saw either clean plates or take home boxes for the rest of the group. We will definitely be back.“
“I visit the short pump location often, it serves the best spicy and crispy chicken in town, for sure. I like spicy food, so I like choosing the hottest spicy category here. For folks who may not be able to take all the spice, even the mild is good flavorful. I also tried their drinks, yummy !! I highly recommend !!“
“Haven't been to the downtown location, but Tarrant's West was a great experience. The service was exceptional and the food really topped it all off. Took my parents to dinner and they loved it. Thank you to all of the wonderful people at Tarrant's West who helped us. ❤️“
“Frisby's, a local Powhatan restaurant didn't disappoint. Not 5 stars, but it's a family restaurant, not a fine dining establishment.I can't speak to the rest of the appetizers, but the Carolina Reaper wings actually brought some heat combined with a really awesome flavor! Tender, juicy, flavor packed! What more can you ask for?My catfish platter, with cornbread, okra, onion rings and corn bread was really nicely done. The portions were large and the catfish was really, really tender and juicy. The okra was cooked very well but lacked somewhat in flavor while the onion rings were really good as well. Tender, and not too much breading. My wife had Nachos, her report is, "they're not Mama Kwans or El Cerro, but the portion was large and the toppings generous and well flavored".My granddaughter had the popcorn shrimp with fries, the popcorn shrimp, she reported, were pretty good with a little too much breading. The fries......OK. She loves her some fries and can be a little picky. We all had leftovers for a fine dinner at home. That's hard to do with me. I'm a lifetime member of the clean plate club! All in all it's good American roadside fare at a reasonable price. We will be back.“
“I recommend the Flat Iron steak and the T2T Lemon Basil martini. The T2T martini donates $1 to Towers 2 Tunnels for ever one purchased! They also have "Charity Night" every Monday! Flay Iron steak, chicken, and salmon are 1/2 price! Staff are great.“
“This place is everything you want in a dive bar, any of the bad reviews come from people who have been tossed out of the place for acting up . It’s a 4.7 out of 5. Only real problem is probably the location and you could easily argue that’s one of the benefits to the joint ! great staff , great owner and overall its a great place to meet people !“
“Oh my!!! The Cuban Reuben was twice the amount a human can eat! Delish. The truffle fries were excellent, the sweet potato tots yummy and the Cosmos were my fave, not the sweet syrupy drink you get other places. Just fun, yummy, and a pleasant experience.“
“We recently visited Glory Days Grill with a large group of 20, and I cannot express enough how phenomenal our experience was. From the moment we walked in, we were treated to exceptional service, but it was our server, Brody, who truly went above and beyond to ensure our evening was nothing short of perfect. Brody’s attention to detail, friendly demeanor, and the ability to juggle our large and lively group was remarkable. The food was just as impressive as the service. Every dish that arrived was perfectly cooked, delicious, and served with care, satisfying a wide range of tastes and preferences in our group. It’s not often you find a place that can manage large groups without a hitch, but Glory Days Grill did just that, making our gathering all the more special. For anyone looking for a venue that caters to large groups with outstanding food and service, Glory Days Grill is the place to go. Our heartfelt thanks to Brody and the entire team for making our visit unforgettable. We’ll definitely be back for more celebrations in the future!“
“This is my “go-to” spot for a great meal and good service. The servers are always attentive, and the food well-prepared and served at the correct temperature: warm but not so hot as to burn one’s mouth. Pictured below is the pork chop entree I recently enjoyed. I heartily recommend Texas Roadhouse. Go ahead and order anything on the menu — whatever your choice, you can’t go wrong. #roadhouserules“
“We loved everything from beginning to end. Very friendly efficient waitress. Draft Beer and drinks were perfect. The pretzel is huge and wonderful and the beer cheese was the best I've had in this area. We tried cornbread, smoked Gouda grits and cheeseburgers. My husband said the it was the best burger he has ever had! Nightingale ice cream sandwich was unbelievably good. And the general came around to make sure everything was great and she was very nice and obviously cares about the customers. Very impressed - we will be back!“
“So happy I finally got to try this place! The biscuits were huge and some of the best I've ever had. The Firebird was tasty, and the shiitake mushroom gravy was out of this world. I was a bit sad that they didn't include whipped cream and strawberries for my French Toast Biscuits. They were very pretty online- a heads up would have been nice....since I paid for it! It is a little on the pricey side but the portions are huge. Come hungry!Vegetarian options: The shiitake mushroom gravy is AMAZING. A must try!“
“First time here. It's our anniversary. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely and the ambiance was warm and welcoming. Our server(Jake) was friendly and knowledgeable, answered all of our questions and even gave us some recommendations. We definitely will be returning!“
“Today, my husband and I dined at this location of Capitol Ale House with a large party to celebrate a family members birthday. Hope H our waiter was awesome. I loved my Cob Salad and Calamari. She is a definite keeper there at Capitol Ale House, awesome customer service.“
“I really love this place! We like going there for brunch. They have awesome food, great service, and a really cool atmosphere. If you get the chance, I highly recommend that you try them out!Kid-friendliness: We take our kids every time and they have a blast. The staff is always patient and kind.“
“Extremely confused by any negative reviews of this lovely establishment. I truly think Southbound is one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in Richmond, and that’s saying a lot! My friend and I dined there tonight and have only rave reviews. The atmosphere is 10/10: classy, cozy, and casual-chic. We tried the pork nachos (incredibly flavorful and original), Caesar salad, burger (possibly the BEST I’ve had in Richmond, which is also saying a lot), crabcakes, and tiramisu. Everything was so.freaking.good. Our server was friendly and service was prompt and accurate. We have friends who extol the virtues of their cocktails, but didn’t try one tonight. Wine selection is solid. No complaints and we’ll absolutely be back soon!“
“Love, love, love this place!! Biggest Breakfast in Town is my usual go-to & is always fabulous, though everything I've had otherwise is also very delicious. Sometimes I get the breakfast and then take the next meal to go! If you sit at the bar and see all the food coming up off the grill, you may just want to order/eat everything you see...! Service is great and the staff are down to earth and super-friendly; the place is usually packed because it is so popular and there are some obvious regulars that love the place and the staff, who love them right back. I am from Danville and every time I go this place always feels and tastes like home.“
