The space is really pretty and the servers and line cook are as nice as can be, but the menu has been really scaled back from a couple years ago, just plain options like chicken sandwich and burger, no "southern food with a twist" like they used to have. Hopefully as the world goes back to normal they'll pick up enough traffic to start bringing back the old menu.
So the server and line cook are as nice as can be, the space is beautiful, and I appreciate having a restaurant in the hotel. But they've scaled back the menu and I don't see the southern classics with a twist anymore. Perhaps this is another casualty of the depopulation of American city centers in the wake of Covid? I've only ever had breakfast and lunch here, at times the restaurant is very slow. I swear whoever hires here hires the best. I don't care if a server places a towel over the correct arm, or pours in precisely the right manner, but I do care that a server makes the diner feel welcome and remains attentive but unobtrusive.
