“Our party of six enjoyed a lovely mid-afternoon lunch on the patio. Service was prompt, very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed several excellent appetizers including ahi tuna tacos, shaved octopus and the best mussels on the planet! Entree’s we enjoyed were Tuna Poke Bowl, Fried Grouper Sandwich with pickled pineapple just to name a couple. All of us enjoyed our visit and look forward to going again!“

“I was visit my parents and walked through our neighborhood to get some local coffee and breakfast on a Sunday morning. While I couldn’t sit/order inside because of the dogs, the barista was more than accommodating to take my order from their outdoor seating and bring me my food and drink. I don’t think it was on the menu but I ordered and espresso soda (espresso, club soda, vanilla syrup) and the barista was once again very accommodating and made it no problem. It was super good! I also ordered an egg and cheese on an English muffin which was delicious. Seemed like white cheddar and a soft fried egg. Would highly recommend this local place! I also appreciated how early they were open on a Sunday morning. I paid about $11 before tipping.“

“been going there since it was Tommy's and Mama owned it and then now owner was the waitress , so she's come a long way from wiping off tables but it's just a great place to relax usually people you know always great company and fun. the musical talents they have up there are usually outstanding although it's a bar / restaurant it's a family friendly place . they're only discrimination against anyone would be the type of attitude they come in with . and you better believe if it's not a good attitude they won't be there long. but welcome back on a better day. so it's just always been a great place even when it had pool table , and one pinball machine , lol !! so if you want good food and a great social atmosphere by all means check it out . 🍻🍹🍺🎯🎱🍔🥪🪩🎤🎼🎶🏧🚻♿😎“

“Caught up with an old friend I hadn’t seen since around ’95/’96 over lunch on 6/17/2025. I’m not usually a downtown Richmond person—city crowds just aren’t my thing—but I’m really glad he suggested this spot. I made the drive from King William, and it was absolutely worth it! The food was fantastic, and the laid-back atmosphere made it the perfect place to reconnect. I had the pork carnitas with a Caesar side salad—super flavorful, and the pork was incredibly tender. The Caesar dressing? Easily one of the best I’ve ever had. I’d love to know if it was homemade or store-bought, because I need it in my life! Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a relaxed and cool meeting spot. I’m already planning to explore more RIC gems soon!“

“We came in for galaxy con this past weekend and I ran by this place on the open table app to get a Saturday reservation. Place had great reviews and i loved the pictures so I wanted to give it a try. I was very impressed! My husband and son loved their food. I had an issue with the first thing I ordered being too spicy so they nicely took it back and had me order something else. The burger was delicious ! They then took both meals off my tab for me for the inconvenience . Great service and will be back! Oh and the rooftop area is beautiful!“

“Food was average at best. Out of everything including a cook. Actually closed the kitchen for about 30 minutes because cook was at end of shift and no one there to replace him. They are listed as a Priority Pass discounted restaurant and when asked, they looked at me like I was crazy. No clue.“

Highly recommend! (side note: I dropped my napkin when stepping out to the powder room and the staff promptly had a fresh and folded one waiting upon return). My husband had the brisket sandwich which he said was fantastic. I had the trainwrek that was so large and outstanding I couldn’t finish it and have leftovers. “This place is amazing. Last week, I ordered one of their bowls and took home ramen for my husband. He loved it so much that we went back this weekend. Even the kids ate the food (manic and cheese and plain ramen noodles), which almost never happens. The staff was super accommodating with our requests to adjust the order for the kiddos. We also loved the patio and ate outside while it rained, so that was cool too. Two thumbs up from us 👍👍😊“

-To me it's an intimate venue as you are close to the stage.
-They do have a bar on both levels.
-Parking can be tricky. Suggest arriving early to secure a good parking spot around the area.

“Definitely 5 stars! Me and my daughter went for brunch, a pitcher of Mimosas and the best breakfast I've ever had. My daughter ordered the biscuits and gravy. They were so good, almost like a she-crab bisque flavor gravy-absolutely wonderful. I ordered the chicken biscuit, was also wonderful, the hot honey with the fresh homemade Bisquit was so flavorful. No wait to be seated, the waitstaff was very friendly. Definitely recommend and definitely will go back!“

“Found Dinamo quite by accident. A Richmond-centric publication mentioned Dinamo as an aside in relation to another restaurant that had since closed. When we discovered Dinamo was still open (later evening) we decided to give it a whirl. The whirling airplane prop in the front window indicated that, at the very least, things would be not boring. We were coming in towards the end of service and were nonetheless greeted with warmth. Firstly, the bread got me baking again. No small feat. They were out of the T-Bone, which is what both of us were aiming for, and recommended the chicken. I dont like chicken. This chicken was amazing. Im still thinking about the bread and the beans. “Great place to hangout with friends, and meet new people. Plenty to do here, with games like corn hole, basketball and pool, as well as plenty of seating if you just want to chill. The Monday night pool tournament is competitive, but the atmosphere is always friendly. Karaoke is on Thursday and Saturday, iirc. Bar staff and security are efficient and friendly, and the food options are plentiful, and always delicious! I highly recommend City Beach.“

Malik if you wanna give government names but I’ve been coming here for years and waited to review but the folks you meet here will become family. Don’t ever miss the opportunity!
