“A few years ago, during the harder parts of COVID, we ate here and I have this place a well deserved bad review. Hard times or not, I swore I'd never eat here again. HOWEVER, I did recently and have been back 3 other times in a month. This has turned into one of the better restaurants not just in the area, but I feel this would be a good destination for those coming from across the water. Can't go wrong.“
“Neat place! Very fun and entertaining for families or friends to gather. Not just bowling but a nice arcade area, as well. The downside for us is that the bowling lanes we used were having issues that didn't quite get fixed while we were there and one of the arcade machines wasn't working well either. But otherwise, it was a lot of fun to hang out there. :)“
“This is a cozy place for breakfast or lunch. Has small tables for an cozy breakfast or lunch. Also has comfortable sofa to just relaxing w coffee or specialty beverage or light snack. Has some books to explore if you want or bring in your laptop to do some work. Has a barn farmhouse feel. I enjoy the food. Place your order at front desk area and then they will call out you name for pick up. They do a very good job w food. Come in a check it out. They also have a mini market to purchase speciality teas, some baked goods and jams.“
“Very unassuming from the outside; we've driven past many times, thinking "we should try it one day".We shouldn't have waited so long. Food is delicious, and the chef is outstanding. Really well done on all accounts. 100% coming back.“
“Don't be deceived by the simple decor. The food is excellent! We both had tilefish entree. Fresh and well prepared, sitting atop a nice size bed of braised veggies. I'd requested lo sodium. And voila! That's exactly what i received. Friendly service. Prices reasonable. Highly recommended.“
“Wow! The Chef's Table dinner we had at Bar West exceeded our expectations. The food was incredible. The restaurant has a lively atmosphere. We had a cozy spot by the fireplace to start out our night with drinks. Highly recommend the espresso martinis. They also have a nice wine selection. The rockfish and short rib ravioli were delicious and plated beautifully. The blackberry cheesecake was the perfect ending to our meal. This is not typical "bar food" at all. Great place for a special dinner or drinks after work. They are also open for lunch. We will be back !“
“Atmosphere: Bright, airy, loud, great working space. Kid friendly, cleanService: attentive, friendly, quickFood: Breakfast Burrito and hot tea for $17+ was over valued. Burrito is mostly rice and was messy to eat. Would benefit from more breakfast ingredients (eggs/bacon) and a dipping sauce? Sour cream or salsa per the bean and rice style.Overall, would come back to try lunch and dinner items!“
“How can this place not be among top 2 places in Short Pump? Wierd algorithms perhaps? For us, atmosphere is half of any dining experience. This place has it going on. On a chilly day, they had the open fire/fireplace going in the front dining area. Smelled and looked beautiful! The chili shrimp tostada was awesome as light happy hour starter. The wood-fired pizzas are the best around (just my opinion), particularly the spicy sausage with black pepper honey variety. Sweet with heat. Crispy edges on the pizza from the high temp oven. Love everything about this place and will return. Oh, solid craft beer options, too.“
“Staff is super friendly-They work together and very friendly with each other (Great teamwork) Comfortable seating- Food is VERY good, with nice size portions. All around… Awesome place to go to- Lots of awesome adult beverages to choose from as well!Kid-friendliness: A place where you can take the whole family to and not have to worry about keeping the kids but so quiet- The staff is friendly and engaging with the kiddos as well!“
“Dinner was great! We ordered the land + sea meal and the crab stuffed shrimp served with mashed potatoes and spinach. Loved the steak and potatoes, however, we’ve had better in terms of the shrimp. The cocktails were delicious and atmosphere & service were great too. When it comes down to dessert, the salted Carmel cheesecake (which is topped with walnuts) is a must have!!! Overall, we enjoyed our visit and I would definitely recommend this place.“
