“Quite the unique place, RIGHT ON the train tracts in the heart of Ashland. Friendly but professional staff (see dietary comments). Ashland has community free parking very close to the restuarant. Not expensive at all!! For the type of venue, atmosphere is great and unique!!Dietary restrictions: My husband has serious and MANY food allergies to things commonly found in restuarant foods (corn products of any type- - corn starch, corn oil, corn etc/ dairy of any type, pepper, olive products and more). They were most helpful and accommodating. Even though we were far from we will return. There are not many places we can eat out.“
“Unique spot offering a taste of what’s good in this world. Got the hava nagila dilla (turkey Reuben) and villa dilla (chicken carbonara), nacho problem, and fresh-pressed lemonade (half sugar). Nachos are faster than dillas — could treat nachos like an app if you are dining in. Dillas had the PERFECT crisp and really thoughtful ingredient combos — felt like a more nutritious, sandwich-like quesadilla. Lemonade took me back to my childhood.“
“I have been to this restaurant a few times and it is always delicious with wonderful service. Today we went for lunch and it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. We had the Reuben sliders off the st. Paddy’s menu, and the corned beef was the best corned beef I have ever eaten. The entrees and dessert were phenomenal as well. The chef came out and talked with the guests a couple times, and it was evident that he is really excited about the food he is producing and is really enjoying what he is making. He was telling us about different items on upcoming menus and I can’t wait to try more of his dishes!“
“Great neighborhood bar. Very friendly managers, wait staff, and bartenders. Food is pretty good - standard sports bar fare, but maybe a notch above. Best value: loaded nachos (you can add on toppings for a little extra) and chicken tenders (nice and meaty and not greasy.) Worst value: DO NOT waste your money on the Buffalo wings. You basically get a plate full of tiny overcooked wings that will make you think "this must be what chicken jerky tastes like." Really disappointing dish for what's otherwise a pretty darned good "Cheers" kind of place.“
“Beautiful location with indoor and outdoor dining. Friendly staff and amazing food, very consistent. I highly recommend the seafood. You can dress up or down. Versatile but they are professional. The only thing to consider is the food is delicious but the portions are very small for the price.“
“Love the food, love the ambiance, love the service. Food is great and in fact, picked up a large order for my wife's birthday and celebrated on the back deck and with a fire pit. Perfect fall weather tacos.Everything is good here... even like the mixed drinks.“
“I visit the short pump location often, it serves the best spicy and crispy chicken in town, for sure. I like spicy food, so I like choosing the hottest spicy category here. For folks who may not be able to take all the spice, even the mild is good flavorful. I also tried their drinks, yummy !! I highly recommend !!“
“So happy I finally got to try this place! The biscuits were huge and some of the best I've ever had. The Firebird was tasty, and the shiitake mushroom gravy was out of this world. I was a bit sad that they didn't include whipped cream and strawberries for my French Toast Biscuits. They were very pretty online- a heads up would have been nice....since I paid for it! It is a little on the pricey side but the portions are huge. Come hungry!Vegetarian options: The shiitake mushroom gravy is AMAZING. A must try!“
“Very good veggie sub! It has actual grilled veggies, not just lettuce, tomatoes and onions. He asked if I wanted the 6" or 12", and I made the mistake of getting the 12", with fries. It's huge! The 6" is more than enough.“
“On somewhat of an impromptu trip to Richmond, after dinner, we headed to my favorite local Cigar spot, Mona Lounge & Cigar Bar. I'm glad the word lounge comes before cigar in the name because Monas is definitely more of a lounge these days. This would be my third time coming to Monas and it has become more and more popular each visit. So much so, there's a Doorman and a line backed down the sidewalk if you come on a Saturday after 9. Trying to get a table seat without a reservation will fall on death ears so you'll have to try your luck at the two bars if you want to sit down. On Saturdays there's live music on one side and a dj on the other. Mona's offers a full food menu and the food is actually good, especially for a lounge. The cigar selection is limited and the humidor is super small. I do appreciate that they don't require you to purchase a stick so you can bring your own. It seems that they're not fully utilizing the space in the main room to the fullest. They could easily add several tables and it wouldn't feel crowded (in my opinion)..LOL! All and all, Mona Lounge and Cigar Bar is always a good time, and we noticed, the women outnumbered the men which I have NEVER seen where cigars are being smoked. Told ya, Monas was more of a lounge..LOL!!“
“Happy hour Monday-Friday 2 to 5The food was good, and I really enjoyed the crab, shrimp, and lobster bisque. But service immediately dropped off when we started ordering from the Happy Hour menu. So that's all we ordered and left for dinner elsewhere.“
“This is newly opened and looks great! I like the Sliding Hill location so this was a nice change of pace and a bit closer to home6pm was packed but we got seated in 10 minutes and the hostess was very pleasant and helpfulService was quick even though it is crowdedThe decor is new and well done So nice to go to a local joint that looks like the owners care$8 Guinness is a bit steepThe sweat potato tots are really good.I really like the layout and selection of foodThe staff is enthusiastic and careful and very politeOnly real draw back is it is LOUD!! Really really really LOUD! We had to lean in on a table for two to hear each other. Each table is so LOUD with their yelling because it is so LOUD. OMG. So much hard scape that they must soften the walls to break the echo.We love the idea but will rethink a return“
