“Excellent food, generous portions. Price a bit on high side but then food prices have really gone up in past year so that par for course. The service is really great, there was an issue with my last takeout order, partly my fault since I was a bit distracted and didn't realized stuff was missing from my order. They totally fixed it and went above and beyond. Just love this place.“
“I eat a lot of BBQ. Like more then a person with high blood pressure should. But Ronnie's may be the best simple traditional BBQ I've had. They dont have any bells and whistles, just really good BBQ. I got the Sampler box with a Chicken leg quarter. The brisket was moistand tender, holds together but bites clean thru. The ribs meat bits perfect and pulls of the bone easily. The traditional North Carolina pulled pork had just the right vinegar flavor but not being over powering the pork. And the the Chicken leg quarter it is undoubtedly the beat I've had. Pull the bones out with ease, the skin smoked and crispy the meaty juicy and tender. Lord help me i need more of that Chicken. Hopefully next time the Mac and cheese aint sold out. But other then that Fantastic.“
“The food was great. My husband had the beef brisket. I had the chicken and brisket dinner combo, with mac n cheese and cole slaw as my sides. The sweet tea was definitely homemade and yummy. The meat was perfect, tasted fantastic, and portions were more than enough. The service was wonderful and we felt welcomed. They made sure we were good and checked to see if we needed anything.“
“Probably my best surprise for Richmond BBQ, as I wasn’t sure what to expect from a spot that has one side that’s a coffee shop and then the other that’s a Texas craft BBQ joint with a Tex Mex flair. While they do sell brisket, pulled pork (some of my favorite in the city despite it being a Texas style joint!), and ribs & pork belly burnt ends (these two are only are available Fri-Sun), their uniqueness is really their strength. The brisket taco is on the expensive side ($11) but one is enough for a perfect light lunch, the chopped brisket sandwich has a good bark and is one of my favorite sandwiches in town. And then on weekends the pork belly burnt ends are something you won’t find elsewhere.“
“Service was great, even with a line of customers the staff kept everyone moving at a good pace. My Tres Hombres was huge, I ate 1/2 and took the other half (it was delicious microwaved the following day as a leftover). The sauce was excellent, and the bbq moist, tender, and flavorful. If there were a 10 star rating I’d give that.I had the beet salad which was also very good.Well-Done!“
“I went to this restaurant which is a little hidden place off the street with a couple friends. My friends got the pulled pork which was tender, moist, and had good flavor. I got the Mac n cheese which was smoky and very flavorful and the brisket sandwhich was very tender had a good ratio of fat to meat and a simple but delicious rub. Seating is a bit limited for bigger parties but the owner is very attentive and even gave my friend advice on smoking his own meat.“
“Treats and Treasures catered brunch for my bridal party while we got ready. They worked with us to create a delicious, beautiful spread with fruit, a variety of quiches, cinnamon rolls, and much more. They accommodated dietary restrictions (gluten-free and vegetarian). My gluten-free friend was thrilled she could have a gluten-free quiche!“
“Stopped in for a friend's birthday. Jeagerbombs for 4 bucks all night. The food here is very good bar food. They will cook you a burger just the way you want it. Love that! It can get crowded, but there is extra space on the end of the building in the game room. Definitely worth checking out. Great little local spot.“
“Firstly, I am a huge fan of the band and crew and everyone behind the project known as GWAR. We came to town for one of their shows, and my partner is vegetarian, so we needed good vegetarian food. Well wouldn't you know, this place has everything you could ask for. Strong drinks, good veggie-head food, good meat eater food, and the best atmosphere I could ask for. So awesome. Cheers to the front of house and cooks as well. My taste buds aren't biased by my love for the band, literally everything here was 10/10 delicious. Thank you so much for the memory. Cheers from Alaska.“
“Pretty much addicted to their steak and fries. The green sauce they put over it is so savory. Steak always comes out to your liking. Chicken quarter also very tasty. Just good a bbq spot done right. No gimmicks. Solid bbq stable in the Churchill community!“
“Food was good. The only issues were a bit of a wait for the food. I'd recommend calling in your order ahead of time. The only other thing is that there aren't any tables to sit at other than one small 2 person table out front on the porch. Basically if you're only doing take-out then advertise as such. That said, the food is very good, just call in your order for pickup.“
“The pulled pork was very good and the Polish sausage was excellent. The potato salad was also quite good. I tried all of the sauces and they were fine. I don't love BBQ sauce (BBQ sauce is good for covering bad meat). Their meat doesn't need it.“
