“I had the brisket and pulled pork sandwich. Out of this world good. Ronnies is my favorite BBQ joint in the RVA area. I'm a fellow meat smoker and I'm picky about my BBQ. I highly recommend their food. I did however find the mac and cheese was a little heavy on the black pepper but still delicious. Thanks“

“Best beef brisket I’ve ever eaten in my life. I wish they had different side options. Didn’t like a single one. If they don’t want to make fries, then offer bags of chips. Not everyone likes spicy sides. That was my only disappointment. But man … that brisket was the BEST!“

“We live and work in the Brookland Park Neighborhood and love BPK's accessibility, friendly atmosphere, well balanced menu and service. Not only have we dining multiple times, recently I was in a pinch for a cocktail party and found relief. At the very last minute I was able to place a catering order for three signature dishes and they were all crowd favorites! If you live in the neighborhood do yourself a favor and check them out. It's the place to bring your out of town guests and impress them with our neighborhoods offerings!“

“Visiting the area, found this awesome BBQ restaurant. Greeted by friendly staff, this place immediately had a super positive vibe which we love. The food was awesome !!! We had brisket sandwiches for lunch with some side, all were great. The seasoning they use on the fries was great and unique. The seasoning had a slight hint of sweetness that really made it special. Free refill fountain drinks. Somewhat limited inside seating maybe for 20-30, but they have outside seating too. Great portions for the money. Give this place a try!!!“

“Best brisket and ribs I have had since moving to Richmond. Tender and juicy, and I even enjoyed the sauce. And I like that you can taste the smoke, not just smell it (it's a Chicago thing). I loved the Texas caviar. And the cornbread...OMG.❤ My go-to for BBQ here now, and it's less than 5 minutes from my house. Definitely recommend.“

“Bartenders Vince and Jake were great, friendly, welcoming. Food came out fast and was great. There was a female manager with red hair that was barking orders at the staff and could have been doing more to help the other workers. She totally made the atmosphere up tight and uncomfortable for me and I'm a customer. Maybe have her sit at the host stand and greet customers, or help out with cleaning tables, or make sure the bathroom has soap, or just stay in the back. She interrupted the bartender while talking to me to tell him about checking his tips out and he was running around tending to multiple guests. You lead by doing and being example, she seems like a dictator and her demeanor was rude. She never even asked me how everything was, or wasn't walking around checking on customers. If bartenders are tending to customers they might not see someone come in the door. I would have given this a much lower rating but I was disappointed to see this restaurant with a 3.9 rating when it has the best wings in Central Virginia and don't want to reflect poorly on the staff and food but wanted someone to hear the feedback that is necessary for improving the environment.“

“Food was good. The only issues were a bit of a wait for the food. I'd recommend calling in your order ahead of time. The only other thing is that there aren't any tables to sit at other than one small 2 person table out front on the porch. Basically if you're only doing take-out then advertise as such. That said, the food is very good, just call in your order for pickup.“

“My shrimp bowl at red hibachi was delicious! One of the best seasoned/tasting bowls I’ve had! Love the variety of sauces offered, especially the spicy mustard. The staff was very friendly and had great recommendations on what to order. Great spot for a quick, healthy, delicious lunch. Will return!“
