“I was treated to lunch yesterday at Honolulu Barbeque. I ordered the bourbon chicken and green beans. Wow, so delicious and the price was right!! The chicken was flavorful and they used fresh green beans not canned. The service was great too! They let you sample a protein before you make a choice. I'll definitely be back!“

“I’ve been 5 times to Hot Pot 757 Midlothian and it never disappoints. Most recently celebrated my husband’s birthday! The staff was so very attentive, plenty of food to choose from and upon ordering food would arrive table side in moments of ordering. And if you let them know it’s a birthday, the robot will sing to the birthday person!“

“What a great place to go eat. The small Diner setup with the booth and old school tables and chairs are great. The Retro pictures on the walls are fun to look at. The tv in the corner playing football was a plus. Everyone is very nice and genuine when you go into order or call in.“

“I really like this place and think it has so much potential. But I have to say the inconsistency in the food is starting to show, and it really comes down to who’s cooking on any given day. Sometimes the fried rice is perfect, and other times it’s mushy. Sometimes the chicken is perfectly seasoned, other times it’s really bland. When it’s good, it’s truly amazing and it’s one of the best hibachi to-go spots in Richmond. But these last couple of times, it’s been a letdown.

I’m leaving this review because I really want to see the place succeed and step it up a notch with more consistent training for the cooks. It’s got the potential to be a standout spot if the quality becomes more reliable. Right now, if they keep pushing out inconsistent dishes, they risk just blending into the background like any other place. I’m rooting for them to get it right!“

The servers are always attentive, and the food well-prepared and served at the correct temperature: warm but not so hot as to burn one’s mouth. “We visited here during our girls trip. It was my first experience at a place like this. Unfortunately, I had a horrible toothache and did not eat very much. What I did eat was amazing. Our server was Bei and she was awesome. Tony, the manager, was very accommodating due to my toothache and the fact I did not eat much.
