“My wife and I moved to Powhatan a few years ago, and like most other transplants, we had to try all the local cuisine. We stopped into Wildwood Bar-B-Que shortly after moving in to try the ribs and the pulled pork sandwich. The staff was great, but we left with the impression that the food was just ok. The ribs were hard to cut and really stuck to the bone. It may have been an off day, but we weren’t planning to return.Fast forward to the fall of 2023, a friend mentioned there was a new owner at Wildwood and felt the food was much better. So, desperate as always for new food experiences in Powhatan, my wife and I returned and placed the same orders as our first visit. It was a complete 180°. The ribs were falling apart, and the house barbeque sauce was fantastic. At the staff's suggestion, my wife got her pulled pork sandwich “sauced and slawed” and she couldn’t put it down (for multiple reasons).Since then, we’ve been back a few times, and our only complaint is the lines keep getting longer. When I made this joke to the nice lady at the counter, she pointed out that they now accept orders online. 10/10 will be back.“
“Smoke N Pigz never lets me down. This is a hidden gem with the most delicious ribs (bark on the ribs!! ❤️) brisket and BBQ! They have rotating weekly specials to die for - tacos, quesadillas, etc. and the Philly cheesesteaks are incredible! If you haven’t already found this place you need to come by!“
