We have tried several Thai restaurants in the area and across the country. I would say this place is our go-to place in the area. The owner has managed this for a long time and kept the food quality consistent. Their prices are reasonable as well due to the fact they are in an ok market plaza vs being in downtown richmond or short pump mall. They can adjust the spices (between mild and medium for instance), give steamed tofu instead of fried, that we like, and the taste is great. We typically do not do curries and have done the rice and brown sauce based dishes. E12 tends to be very flavorful with a great sauce although there are other good dishes too like Chicken cashew nut (or without the chicken for Vegetarians with tofu). Service is alright. Not bad but nothing fancy. The setting is decent but not mind blowing. We come here truly for the food. We have done take out as well through door dash several times. I would recommend trying it.

There is no red curry like this red curry, and the pad thai is perfectly balanced also. Solid gem and the nicest people too.

Chadar Thai is absolutely fantastic! The food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I ordered the Thai iced coffee, and it was rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced—just the right amount of sweetness with that bold coffee kick.

Ordered takeout today and was not disappointed.
Pad see ew medium is actually medium hot!! Plus, it’s been a while since the egg in my pad see ew tasted like egg and not just fried pad see ew sauce. They have a no ice or less ice option for drinks ($1 more) but so worth it! Currently eating my food right now and I still have so much thai tea left to help me conquer the spice. Will definitely return.

This place is amazing! I have been going there my entire life, and this restaurant has never disappointed. Try anything on their menu and you won’t be wrong. My favorites are the beef noodle soup and Red curry. You should totally come here and give a try if you’ve never been here. Service is friendly.

Best Thai food I’ve had in Richmond that is both delicious and authentic. The atmosphere was so inviting and homey. This is my favorite Thai place by far. Highly recommend the pandan and Thai tea ice cream!!

Great restaurant with good portion size. Drunken noodles great.
Got pad Thai and crispy spring rolls to go. The spring rolls were really good, you could taste the chicken. The pad thai left a lot to be desired. The noodles were chewy and flavourless. Based on all the reviews I was genuinely concerned they may have left the sauce off of mine when cooking.
The fried tofu was perfect. The pad Thai ruined it for me though.

Love this place! Richmond's best kept secret for Thai food. The Thai chicken wings are delicious for an app as well as the lettuce wraps. We usually get both because we can't decide. lol
Yellow Curry and Cashew Chicken are a couple of their delicious entrees. The Pad Thai is awesome as well. We've never had a bad meal and definitely never left hungry. Stop in for dinner and I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
Went here on a business trip and the service was good, food was tasty and the soup had great sweet coconut milk flavor. The Thai Spicy level was very mild compared to other places I have been.
