We just love Ciao Capri. It’s our special date night spot and we don’t feel overly-full after we have a 3 course meal, bread, and drinks. It feels like an Italian grandma is making you a homemade meal from her seaside Italian hometown. The service had been good every time we visit, too.
My new favorite Italian restaurant. A few reviews said that the service was sketchy and the food was bland. Don’t believe it. I’m Italian and I can tell you the food is excellent. Fresh, and very creative. Delicious sauces. Lots of daily specials. The service was very attentive I felt like I was back in Italy. Alberto, the owner , circulates through the restaurant and makes everyone feel at home. My 12 yo daughter ( who is a foodie) said it was the best restaurant experience in Richmond that she ever had. Can’t wait to go back!!! BTW, BEST cannolis EVER!

Ciao Capri is the best authentic Italian food in RVA This is a small, family owned restaurant so be sure to call for reservations. The food is delicious, the service impeccable. If you are on their email list, you will be notified when they are serving fresh halibut. The specials are always fabulous.
We absolutely loved this place. Best Italian food we’ve had in town along with top notch service. Lisa was super helpful and had great recommendations. We will definitely be back.

First time here. The place is clean, nice and welcoming. The staff was so welcoming and explained the menu and specials. I ordered a mocktail and that’s the star. Can not believe it was a non-alcohol drink when you look at it.Ravioli was flavorful, tomato base goes well with it. Loved it too. Regular customers will talk with you and it’s nice to talk with them. Unique experience.Reserve ahead. Don’t forgot to check the specials menu ..

Their biggest weakness is the limited menu. I had high hopes because of the small cafe atmosphere, and apparently many regulars were in the place. The staff called some of the customers by name. But the food was a disappointment. A solid three stars at best.

We tried Ciao Capri on a recent visit to the area, and we were not disappointed! This is a lovely, quiet restaurant with a warm welcome and delicious food. My husband had the meatball starter and shrimp and pasta main course. He thoroughly enjoyed both dishes. I had a salad followed by the Halibut special, served with broccoli and potatoes. (The halibut was cooked perfectly.) We hadn't planned on having dessert but ended up ordering the Neapolitan icecream encased in a chocolate shell and the cannoli. Both were delicious! Do make reservations as it is a small restaurant with about 7 tables and the bar. On the evening of our visit, Erika and the owner took care of us and the other diners. If you have any trouble finding it, look to the right of the Mexican restaurant. If we lived closer, we would definitely come back to try some other dishes!
Disappointed in the service at Ciao Capri. My boyfriend and I were turned away from the restaurant and were told that they were full. There were only 3 dinning parties there and at least 4 separate tables empty and the bar as well. We did not feel welcomed by the door greeter. Also noting that compared to other restaurants in the area, this restaurant seemed quiet and empty.

A fun night with friends eating at Ciao Capri. It has a large awning but several had trouble finding the restaurant. It's tucked next to a Mexican restaurant. Nice happy hour specials. I was happy to see the crowd on a rainy Tuesday night. The service was excellent! We all enjoyed the food. We shared several appetizers as well. Definitely worth a visit.
