Food was delicous, I got the smoked wings with a side of collard greens. Some of the best wings I have had. I hate big wings and I hate soggy wings. These wings were normal sized and the skin was super crispy with a lot of seasoning on them. When I get them again I will get extra spicy ranch on the side because it was just so yummy.

Food was so slow even though the restaurant was not even half full and when it arrived it wasn’t warm and lacked flavor. Would definitely not go back. Ordered biscuits and gravy and it was a weird sauce with a fake Smokey flavor. I cannot see this place staying in business. The server was very sweet and tried but she can’t help the kitchen.

Wait staff needs training. Made reservation and hostess could not find that I did. Waited for some time and another hostess who found my reservation.
Two of the four of us liked our meal. We had to ask for drink refills and wait staff did not clear the table of unwanted dishes or glasses without prompting.

Food & service was really good! Me, my husband & my daughter stopped and had brunch today.
Your 20% service charge is a little confusing because most places expect that gratuity is included in the 20%, but then your servers tell us this isn't a tip even when it operates more like a tip share, where tips are all pooled and distributed among the staff. I have worked in the service industry for many years and it is generally understood that tip shares replace traditional tipping, with servers explaining that additional
tips are not expected, but appreciated. When your servers come and say it doesn't count as a tip and instead is used as a way for the customer to fund their hourly pay, it starts to get a little shady.
Instead: maybe raise your menu prices by 10% to be able to pay your servers yourselves, & let customers tip additional at their own discretion, or maybe it just needs to be cleared up what the expectations are. I agree with others that expecting 40% on brunch for 3 people is a little excessive.

I'm not sure if they were short staffed the day we came, but everything was painfully slow. We were just a table of 2 for lunch, and we each got chicken sandwiches and fires. The food took about an hour to arrive (with no apologies or updates along the way). Even at the end of the meal, we had been done for a while, and our waitress took forever to get us a check. It was a pretty empty restaurant by this point. We walked in at 12:30, and walked out just after 2pm.

We are visiting Richmond and decided to dine at Farm and Oak. We are so glad that we did! Our server Nevaeh was so friendly and helpful in assisting us in choosing the perfect meal. The short rib egg rolls were amazing, along with a wedge salad, crab cakes and peach French toast. We hope to get to return for a second time during our visit. Thanks for a wonderful dining experience! Mike and Suzanne Harris

I came in today with my son. And we were greeted by the bartender with a welcoming smile. The entire staff were awesome. We ordered the Fried Chicken and French Toast meal (dad) and the Farm and Oak Burger (son) and we both were very happy. Within minutes my son looked over and my entire dish was almost gone. Definitely a great hit in my book and I’ll be back for seconds. 😄

First time here and I was not disappointed. The atmosphere was bright and open, service was friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious, ordered west african shrimp and grits, OG chicken sandwich, peach cobbler bread pudding and a drink (don't remember the name sorry). Give this place a try!

First time here- amazing! Will be back for sure. The Brussel sprouts appetizer was a great starter with interesting but very savory drizzle of sauce. The shrimp and grits and beef short ribs were perfectly cooked and delicious. Our server was attentive and friendly and the prices were fair for the good quality of the ingredients- even the roasted veggies were high quality and cooked fresh. If I had one complaint it would be a very minor one, that it was a bit bright in there but other than that it was a great meal and experience!

Food would have been great if it had been served warm but it was not. Took over an hour for our food to come. Also there is a weird service charge that they don’t tell you about disappointed

The service was quite nice. My husband and I ordered an appetizer, the herb house fries. They were really tasty. For the main course, I ordered the Crispy Skin Salmon. It was a pretty decent portion of salmon and it had some corn, arugula, and tomato mixture on the side. The food didn't have much flavor. It was served with some lemon ginger sauce but it didn't taste like anything either. My husband ordered the Fried Chicken. It was very dry and underseasoned as well. It was served with Mashed Potatoes and Collard Greens. My husband enjoyed the sides more than the chicken. The sauce that came on the side, The spicy honey sauce paired better with my salmon than the sauce it came with. We were going to get dessert but didnt want to take the chance on being disappointed. They do charge a Service charge of 20% that is automatic. We only had water as well. I dont think our meal was worth $70 because it didnt take like $70 worth of quality ingredients. Not a place I would want to return to.

I don't like that for parties of 8+, you have to pay a deposit for reservations.
Went to Farm and Oak for brunch with a group of friends, and everyone was impressed with their dishes. The flavors were on point and the ingredients tasted fresh. However, the service was extremely slow. While the food is a definite highlight, be prepared for a long wait between ordering and eating.
