Listen, my people. I was born and raised in The Bronx. Having said that, I had the best Hush Puppy, I mean THE BEST, since my mama's. Now I can tell you the fish was delicious and my slaw was perfect. But that slice of fresh strawberry cake..... Heaven. I highly recommend you try visiting!

Compared to Brooks Sea Food a few block away Hawk's Fish taste like pure trash. Left-over weeks-old fish and they wonder why they have no lines during lunchtime hours. Brooks Sea Food lines are out the door. Fresh fish is healthier than two or three week old fish at Hawk's Fish. I'm hoping this will make Hawk Fish purchase thier fish on a daily basis not a Monthly basis.

When I went to pull the handle on the front door, my first thoughts were someone really need to clean this. Its just a bad way to start off. The insides are just really in disarray. Lighting and fans had grease and dust on them. Cobwebs just being blown by the dusty dirty fan. If the front is this bad I don't even want to see the back. Flies just there. This is my 3rd maybe 4th time there. 1 piece of my fish smelled really bad. The 1st 2 were good. Third one was the bad one. The rest were like really greasy. They put the bread on top so it didn't soak up the grease like they use to. Maybe I just had my tray upside down. The prices are high. My 2nd time going, you could smell the fishy trash throughout. They were cleaning in the back, I guess they were close to closing. I didn't go back for some years, Then someone told me they go and it's good now. So my 3rd trip in years was good..... Now this. I'm so disappointed. It's like I really tried to like them. If they can't make any repairs, just give it a good cleaning with some simple green.....Let it soak on the door handle and fans, everything ... And move the junk out of sight. Put some vinegar and dish soap in a cup with honey at the bottom I think let sit in about 4 cups around there. Probably 9 in the rear ......I really hope this helps. Not trying to cause no harm just want you guys to do well....

I ordered from here the food wasn’t what I thought it was going to be I got baked beans and it was the van camp beans which was awful fyi if u gonna use beans out of the can make sure it’s bush baked beans food was not to my expectations. They definitely could do

Great food, and they give you a lot for your money. Fish was delicious.
Ordered whiting and trout plates and both were delicious!! Service was excellent too, lady at the front desk was wonderful. Mac n Cheese was okay but that fish was cooked to perfection. Chefs kiss! Going back soon!!

Fish was fresh, hot, and seasoned to perfection. Nice size pieces of whitey. Shrimp was big and juicy and fried just right! The wings were good. I liked the fish better. The potato salad was good. I just needed a pinch of salt for me. Hush puppies were also really fresh and good.
