Closed on 6/20/20. Wasted drive here after Google and Yelp said they were open. Sign on door says “closed due to an abundance of caution”. Whatever that means given people are now sitting in restaurants. Nearby Poke Sushi was open.

Best poke in RVA!! I don't mind driving half an hour to come here compared to Poke Sushi Bowl which is less than 5 away from me. Love how they offer marinated tuna and salmon also :) will def be coming to Hoke Poke more often!!!

For Richmond, I'd say it's one of their better Poke places. They have some unique specials, their bubble tea is surprisingly very solid, and when I went, it wasn't super packed and the service was on point. The taste alone beats the chain store PokeWorks out of the park.

Have been here before and really liked the food. Today when I went in the woman behind the counter was very rude and dismissive, as if she was annoyed I walked into the restaurant. She informed me they no longer have bamboo rice and they didn't have regular rice, as the truck wasn't coming for another 45 minutes to deliver the regular rice. Kind of defeats the purpose of a poke bowl... so I asked if a discount was available, she told me no and have a good day. It wouldn't have been a big deal that they were out of one of the main ingredients but her attitude didn't really help, the combination of both was unsatisfactory. I won't be returning.... staff should be at least semi-friendly, especially if they can't deliver the basics to a customer... a quick apology or acknowledgment would have been just fine, ya know, basic customer service skills. There's plenty of other places nearby that are just as good... so I went to Poke sushi bowl right down the street and it was seriously phenomenal!

Absolute fav spot to get poke. I am from Hburg and am sooo willing to go out of my way to get to eat here. The service is always quick and friendlier than most so I have no complaints. Keep up the amazing work

First time here and was really disappointed. Got here at noon on a Saturday. They barely had any of their ingredients out for many of their signature bowls or even a create your own bowl. No salmon and no citrus kale. Just tuna and a few mix ins. One of my pet peeves for a business are not opening when you are supposed to and not closing when your are supposed to. The girl said they were closing at 2pm when their business hours are from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm. There was not even a sign on the door mentioning their early closing. I feel sorry for any customers expecting to come by after 2 pm. I also didn't like that they basically had only 25% of their menu and ingredients available. How can you run a business like that? Not a good first impression for me and my family. We ended up going to the other poke place down the street.

Today my gf and I went here for lunch around 2:20 and upon walking in we were not greeted or asked if we needed any help as it was our first time. We ordered a bowl with shrimp and was told they didn't have any. We then tried to order a bowl with salmon and was told they didn't have that either. We then noticed that most of the ingredients were not even out for us to choose from and the lady working just responded by telling us they close at 3. We were very dissatisfied with our experience and the lack of customer service we received.
Really good Poke. Other Poke places rely heavily on sauces, but Hoke Poke lets the fish do the talking. Worth the price!

Was really looking forward to having Hoke Poke for my first time tonight. Drove all the way over and low and behold they are CLOSED although their door sign and Google show they are open until 8pm. Really disappointed. Now we have to fight more rush hour traffic in the rain to go find food somewhere else.

I was expecting something more than a Chipolte style bowl-filler. The staff wasn't very helpful in selecting, but just said "The first screen is pre-made bowls, or you can make your own." Then they were out of shrimp, so only got a half portion.The store seemed a little less than well-kept and the food was OK at best. I won't be spending my time or money at this Hoke Poke again.

It was slow when we went in and I have no idea why. The staff was super friendly, and the food was delicious. My wife has celiac, so having everything labeled gluten free or not was a huge plus! If you get the Cali classic, definitely try the spicy tuna.
