I'm from NY an was in Richmond for my daughters college graduation after the graduation about 20 of us went to Jackies . All the food was amazing no complaints from anyone . The service was very very good . The waitress did NOT mess up anything an was very patient with the group . The prices were great. I'm making a trip back to Virginia just to go to Jackies a few more times . Thanks to everyone that works at the restaurant. After my daughter graduating the second best thing that day was Jackies Restaurant. Can't wait to eat there again

Great southern style food! Everything was freshly prepared and tasted exceptional! I highly recommend the collards and Mac and cheese as your select sides. The staff was friendly and our large party received amazing service! This hidden gem is a must try!

Went here for the first time last night and our server Liz was amazing! Gave us recommendations, told us what nights had entertainment. My husband and I loved the food..soo flavorful and tasted just like grandma was in the kitchen cooking for us!! Can't wait to go back and try other items!!

It's a great place comfort food and it's great on days that they are actually paying attention my food was raw it's always when you order food that they don't take the time they would if you were there in person that's the sad thing because people are to far away to come in...you ordered online for a reason, but the food looked raw when I opened it up it was tenders and the Candy yams was rushed to much sugar was dumped in and I was so disappointed because this was my fav spot until I got raw food but everyone has a off day I guess but people safety is important if you serving food to people

Wish I could give 5 stars... first off I am white. I was completely IGNORED at the bar by anyone other than Quan, not another person acknowledged my existence. He on the other side saw me and served me like I was another paying customer. He was AMAZING but other than him I won't be coming back because i felt unwelcome and unwanted all due to my lack of pigmentation.

Rhela and CeeCee are awesome. ask for them to wait your table. they both exercised so much patience with our parties on a Friday and Sunday. ty Rhela and CeeCee! and the food is awesome!

The front end did a great job of taking , managing and ensuring the orders were correct.
The food was subpar..the darkened molasses looking gravy and onions on the pork chops was horrible and far from the renowned dishes we had in the past.
String beans and cabbage was also sub par. Food should look palatable and the gravy and onions should enhance the chops and not hide or or overwhelm the flavor of the pork. A disappointing Sunday and hour wait!!!!!

We got there 2hrs before closing and waited 30 minutes on our order, but the fried fish and shrimp were very good. We also got a complimentary side of corn bread that blew my mind.
