I had high expectations of this restaurant after reading the reviews, but my experience here was disappointing. The food was very salty (especially naan), bland, and hastily put together. Curries were either too bland or spicy, there was no middle ground in their taste and texture consistency of the food. My relative who has high blood pressure could barely eat the food due to the salt levels. Portion sizes were also small. I would not recommend Jannat given the food quality and price, especially for vegetarians.

The salmon tikka is hands down one of the best we’ve had—perfectly spiced every time, no matter the heat level. The tikka gravy on the side is incredible with the right balance of tang and slight sweetness. We’ll definitely be dining in soon and can’t wait to try more dishes.

During our recent visit to Jannat Indian Cuisine, we enjoyed an incredible range of Northern Indian dishes. The Lasuni Gobi was wonderfully crisp and bursting with garlic flavor, and the Samosa Chaat offered a delightful mix of textures and spices. The Aloo Baingan was rich and comforting, and the Tarka Dal was both hearty and aromatic. The Curry Tofu was a fantastic vegan-friendly option.
The naan bread was fluffy, warm, and the perfect accompaniment to every dish. What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional service. Our server, Sara, was incredibly hospitable and provided fantastic recommendations, enhancing our experience even further.
In summary, if you’re looking for an affordable spot with delicious food, a welcoming atmosphere, and top-notch service, Jannat Indian Cuisine is definitely worth a visit!

Delicious food! Great variety and delicious options. To my vegan friends out there, they had curry that you can add tofu which was amazing! Their naan bread was fluffy and delicious. The Lasuni Gobi appetizer was bomb. Probably our favorite dish was Aloo Baingan.
Sara was wonderful. She helped us make great decisions on what to eat. There were so many good choices we had a hard time narrowing it down.
We will plan to come back again!

My husband and I had never had Indian food and wanted to try something new for dinner tonight. I had picked up DoorDash from Jannat Indian Cuisine before and remembered how good the food looked. From the minute we walked in tonight we had an amazing experience. The service was friendly, accessible, and gave great recommendations on both food and drinks. I had a Mojito which was great and my husband and I both got a Mango Lassi which blew our socks off! We had the chicken 65 appetizer which was fantastic! I got the Chicken Tikka Marsala for my entree which I didn’t want to put down. We also got the garlic naan which was chefs kiss. We will 100% be back here!!

This is my favorite Indian restaurant in RVA and I think they have the best overall food, but I’ve only rated it 4 stars because lately, portion sizes when ordering to-go have been way smaller than they used to be. My recent order of coconut curry chicken had maybe 6 small pieces of chicken total. We typically order to share and there hasn’t been enough to do that. I’m tempted to explore other restaurants to see if the portions are bigger because $18-$20 per entree is a lot to be spending for a small amount of food.
This place is amazing the workers are so sweet amazing food amazing everything
