Taco Tuesday at its finest! Mimi and I ventured on a school night to @lacabana_restaurant near Lakeside and it did not disappoint! Cute little vibe with decor to match! We were greeted with smiles as we entered and sat at a table of our choosing, cozy and gives a very welcoming vibe! Our waitress was friendly and allowed us time to look thru the options. We ordered shrimp (2.8/5), carnitas (5/5) and steak (3.9/5) and Mimi opted for chicken (4.5/5) instead of the carnitas and we shared the beans and rice (5/5). All the tacos were plentiful and flavorful but my favorite was the carnitas (Mimi favored the chicken but agreed the carnitas was it) and the corn tortillas were so fresh and warm. The rice and beans also very authentic and flavorful and the rice was fluffy too, both were excellent! They are a small staff who work diligently to push the orders out so please be patient and enjoy the experience like we did! #tacotuesday🌮 #rvafoodie #mexicanfoodlover

Absolutely fuego! The steak burrito is one of the best I’ve had in Richmond and I love how it’s perfect grilled and the ingredients are spread throughout!

Food was served at the right temperature.

I went for dinner with 3 other people. My sope with chicken was OUTSTANDING! One of my frirnds got street tacos and they looked great. She said the horchata was delicious. The only waitress was Magdalena. She did her best to keep up, and was kind and professional. It's a small place, so it gets pretty noisy. Go for the food.

A very fine place. If you are comfortable in your Español, feel free to speak it. If not, the staff is fluent in English. The menu is packed full of deliciousness, so much variety. Please patronize and keep our American culture as spicy as the wonderfully baked jalapeños.

The most delicious fried sweet plantains. I took a to-go with more for breakfast (great choice). We saw they have a taco Tues so we’re hoping to visit more regularly!
