We tried out Plaza Azteca as they are opening a location close to where we live. This location was just okay - food was decent but nothing special. The guac was expensive and had no flavor. Service was fine! Took forever to get our check.

Best location in the Richmond and surrounding areas. Sometimes the flavors, can be a hit or miss...depending on who's cooking that day...that's with most restaurants in this chain. The overall cleanliness and customer service is great. Good reviews from the health inspection report data, compared to the other locations.

I purchased a gift card from the Plaza Azteca in Short Pump around Christmas 2024. This week, my aunt and uncle took friends here for dinner and were told the card couldn't be used, only at the Chesterfield location. Even after explaining it was purchased at this Short Pump location, the manager still refused to honor it.
This is completely unacceptable. I would NEVER have bought a card from another location, and for this restaurant to deny a card they sold is dishonest and misleading. Diners beware: gift cards purchased here are apparently worthless.

Very accommodating, very pretty inside. The food came out very fast (it was 5 of us) and piping hot. I love the robots that the foods come out on, saves the shoulders of the waitresses. Non-alcoholic beverages were really fresh and tasty. We were not rushed. Not loud, very pleasant and chill Friday evening. No crowd. Ladies if you like greenery please go dressed for pics. Great lighting as well.
Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie dishes. Great for vegans as well. You need the fresh guac! Listen to me and thank me later lol, bold flavor. I could eat the fresh guac as a main course.
Parking: Loads of free parking

Family on a budget. Took our kids as a special treat seeing Plaza Azteca website list Kids Eat Free on Sundays. Found that is not the case for this location nor was an explanation offered. Know the location in Glenside is where you want to go.

Great place to have lunch or dinner. I work very close to this location so I often find myself coming here for a quick and delicious meal. And the frozen margaritas are amazing! The servers are very nice and the place has a great atmosphere overall. I do wish that they would bring back salsa nights!
