It was my first visit, it was chaotic. The owner was not the most friendly. My order was taken it took 4 diferentes people to figure out if my order was an actual order. Then I was questioned if I paid when I paid at the time I placed my order. Took over 30 minutes for my order, it was after lunch rush hour. As someone who has worked in this industry it’s not the customers job to keep track of orders or payment they need a better system to make it flow. Also communication is key. The food was food though.

It may not be fair for me to give this restaurant three-star rating. This is a Colombian bakery my first time ever being at a Columbia bakery and a lot of the things that we purchase we didn't really like. But that may be because of different cultural tastes. I will be curious of going back and maybe getting some different items. Overall the service was okay but if you're not a fluid Spanish speaker you may struggle at certain portions of the day because most of the staff speak Spanish. Atmosphere is pretty cool it gives you kind of authentic feel of a different cultures restaurant.

this place absolutely has the best pupusas in Richmond with amazing specials but to be in such a diverse community the customer service is horrible. I visit regularly for the special and often times use my phone to translate so it's easier. once I wasn't given any change. another time i ordered cheese Pupusas and was given a random Pupusas containing pork fat. i love the food but after doing everything to remove possible language barriers I think I'll take my business elsewhere.

While exploring Yelp, I came across Shelly's, a cozy restaurant with a loyal local following. I opted for two different types of pupusas - one with beans and one with pork. The prices were super affordable and the food was decently sized. However, be prepared to wait a bit (15-20 mins) because they make it fresh. The flavors surpassed my expectations, with the bean pupusa standing out for its rich seasoning. I look forward to returning to Shelly's to explore more of their menu offerings!

Amazing place to get authentic south American food! Dollar taco Tuesday and $1 dollar papoosa's on Wednesday!!! The most authentic I've found in rva really! ? Easy to call ahead and pick up and go as well! 10 out of 10 would recommend to everyone!!!

Delicious. Went for breakfast and it was awesome. Great coffee (no free refills btw, large portions and good tasting food. Pupusas were excellent as well. We got the Typical Breakfast and Chicken Chilaquiles.

Let it be known I, unfortunately, do not speak Spanish. To my greatest shame, I had to google translate the menu. Maybe one day, I will have a bilingual superpower-- purely so I can enjoy this food at Shelly's. The staff were kind and accommodating. I recommend takeout, as this place has been packed in my limited experience. Though I am always looking for vegetarian options, and here it was limited. I still was able to enjoy my bean and cheese pupusas in bliss. Hope you visit here soon. It was delicious.
