TAVA is delicious. Mango Lassi perfectly creamy, yogurty, mango-sweet but not too sugar sweet. Butter Chicken Masala some of the best I've had - suace is amazing with lots of good quality white meat chicken. Garlic Naan fresh, warm, soft with just the right amount of crispy. Don't be surprised when you walk in...TAVA is still in its opening phase with an unfinished eating area with nice table amd chairs and serving in to go containers with upgraded paper plates (which is why I gave 3 stars for atmosphere). It was mentioned that the dining room will be fully complete in about 4 weeks. We look forward to seeing it finished. The hospitality and the food are top-notch, so its worth checking them out. We'll be back!

Fantastic Indian food. First time there and while this restaurant features briyani dishes, I thought I would start by testing some traditional standbys first. I had chicken tikka masala and it was spot on. Spices and cream in the sauce were 9/10. Chicken was marinated tandoori which to me has to be for this dish to be great. They use chunks of bell pepper and red onion in the sauce which I personally prefer as it adds to the flavor. Heat was awesome. Tip: order one level down from what you might normally as hot is Indian hot, medium is American hot, mild more of a medium. My wife ordered butter masala chicken and it was the best she had experienced anywhere. Super smooth and the butter was perfect. Chicken to sauce ratio was very good. Service was fantastic. Super friendly and attentive. Staff were engaging and asked us to come back which was nice- you don't always get that anymore. The restaurant is being remodeled so I can only say that despite this, the atmosphere was comfortable and clean. There are multiple Indian restaurants right around Short Pump and I have to tell you this one is going to give the others a run for their money. That's without even trying their more signature briyani dishes yet. Prices are very reasonable Would absolutely recommend this restaurant to you. I will update again once I try some other food. Happy eating and see you there!

We went there for the first time last week and was pleasantly surprised. The food was freshly made and very flavorful. We tried their Chinese Bhel which was wonderful tasting, Keema samosa, Gobi Manchurian and Chicken Dum Biryani. The servings were generous. Looking forward to try their Indochinese menu. Would highly recommend this place to our friends.

TAVA is my new favorite Indian restaurant. They have only been open for take out for two months and dining in for one month. As you can see from the photos, we ate out of the paper plates since they just received the dishwasher the day before. None of the obstacles changed how the food was delivered. Everything we ordered was well prepared and the flavor was satisfying. We loved the Chicken 65, it has perfect flavor and tenderness. Gobi (Tandoori Cauliflower) was delicious, it went well with the meat dishes. I always loved a well prepared Goat Curry dish. They definitely have delivered. I was a little disappointed with Chicken 65 Biryani. It could be better and it was slightly salty for my taste. The Bullet Naan has a little kick to it. I didn’t taste the cheese in the Cheese Garlic Naan, but it was still good. You have to try their Mango Lassi, it was so GOOD!

Good thing about Tava is the quantity of food, very generous portions; and it's all freshly prepared. Lot of growing pains though - frankly, yhey shouldn't have opened the place till they were all set to go, it was a take out place only for many days and now they put some chairs and tables; lot of constructions work yet to go....even plates and cups are not ready - using paper plates and cups. The chef is still refining the menu and flavors; currently it is heavily flavored to the local cuisine of a section of Andhra....if they want to appeal to a wider clientele, they would need to fine tune those flavors.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Tava Restaurant, and I must say, it was an experience worth raving about. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for the entire evening. The food at Tava is simply exceptional. Every dish burst with flavor and was expertly prepared. Each bite was a delightful journey for the taste buds, leaving me craving more long after the meal was over. It's evident that the chefs at Tava pour their passion into every dish they create, resulting in an unforgettable dining experience. What truly sets Tava apart, however, is the impeccable service. Staff went above and beyond to ensure that every customer felt welcomed and taken care of. Their attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction were truly commendable.I left Tava Restaurant with a full stomach and a smile on my face, already planning my next visit. If you're looking for delicious food, friendly service, and an all-around exceptional dining experience, look no further than Tava Restaurant. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Every dish we ordered, from the drinks to the dessert, was exceptional! We sampled the Chai, Masala milk, Chicken 65, Paneer Manchurian, Hakka noodles, Naan (butter/bullet), Biryani, and Carrot halwa, and it was, without a doubt, one of the best Indian cuisine available in Richmond.A group of my friends (20 pax) also had a small gathering there at that time, they were very pleased with the arrangements, and the flavor of food. The restaurant provided a seperate space for them, adding to the overall positive experience. For those in the Short Pump area seeking an Indian dining experience, this restaurant is a fantastic choice. It's worth noting that they are currently undergoing renovations, but this hasn't detracted from the quality of the place or their standout service.Vegetarian options: They custom make noodles with protein (egg, paneer, or chicken) of your choice.

First time I am taking time to write a review on a restaurant but this place is the best Indian restaurant in Short Pump. Super fresh ingredients, great taste and great service. Not to mention the portions which are huge compared to other Indian restaurants in the area.

The food in the restaurant is good and the service is excellent. There is one pretty lady out there named Sam, very polite and friendly, explained all the items in detail. I highly recommend this restaurant for Indian folks.
