Service was slow at first - seemed understaffed. Then picked up after appetizers came out. Food was amazing - all 8 of us loved it. The calamari, Chesapeake oysters , fried oystets, and fried grouper sandwich were outstanding.
We sat outside on a lovely evening. The only noise was from the occasional motorcycle or loud care. It was very pleasant. While service was generally good (it took an awfully long time for one of our party's drink to arrive), the food was fair. Two people shared the ceviche as an appetizer. Both thought it tasted strange and didn't finish it. When the waiter was told why they didn't finish it, he commented that he has had other customers with similar dissatisfaction....
We had a nice dinner, good service and the usual good food. My mom, who joined us for dinner, met friends there for lunch the following Monday, with a much different experience. Their server was an arrogant young man, fries were old and cold, and the bun on a chicken sandwich was old, dry, and inedible. It was very disappointing for her to be with friends and embarrassed at how she talked about the wonderful dinner just the Friday before.
