Great place for vegetarian food and ambience service is fantastic
I recently visited the Adyar Ananda Bhavan (A2B) location in Reston with my family, and unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the most disappointing dining experiences we've had in a long time.
From the moment we arrived, the service was shockingly poor. Despite being a dine-in restaurant, we were expected to collect our food from their hand each time. The staff made no effort to assist or accommodate us, and their attitude was far from welcoming. It felt as though we were being treated like a burden rather than valued customers.
The tables were small and cramped, and when we asked for the empty plates to be cleared, the response was dismissive: “Someone will come for cleaning.” No one ever did for a long time. We ended up stacking the used plates ourselves just to make space to eat. This level of neglect is unacceptable, especially from a brand that prides itself on hospitality.
To make matters worse, the food was mediocre at best—nowhere near the quality we’ve come to expect from other A2B branches like the one in Princeton. But what truly ruined the experience was the staff’s complete lack of respect and courtesy. Their behavior gave the impression that we were eating for free, rather than paying customers who chose to dine there in good faith.
We left the restaurant feeling deeply disappointed and disrespected. A2B Reston has a long way to go in terms of both service and attitude if it hopes to live up to the standards set by its other locations.
Ok. But not so good for a repeat.

We had a wonderful meal with our family eating at A2B. The South Indian Thali, mini Tiffin, Rava Dosa, Paper Dosa, Medu Veda were simply delicious. We felt we were eating authentic South Indian food. We will keep visiting and strongly recommend eating here
