Im a Flight Attendant from the Dominican Republic. Overnighting in Virginia, I had the opportunity to visit with my coworkers and chose the Alo Vietnam rice with pork, and the experience was extraordinary!!! A very relaxing atmosphere, great service, and delicious food! The next time I visit Virginia, I will eat at your wonderful restaurant! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! 💯💯💯

Tough and dry meat. No sweet fish sauce like at other Vietnamese restaurants. Very disappointing.

Check your order and double check your bill!!! Got my order wrong twice. Upon ordering initially, I asked for a substitution and inquired about what part of the chicken was used for the dish. My substitution was confirmed twice by the server. The substitution was not honored, I had to send it back to be remade. Then upon biting into the remake, the chicken meat was dark when I was told it was breast. Also, we ordered 4 drinks on Happy Hour. We were charged full price for all 4 drinks on the check and charged for the dish that was not as promised x2!! The food was eh. Atmosphere was mid. Proceed with caution.

I come to Alo Vietnam very often to drink at the bar and I'd like to speak up about the workers. The current and past workers are treated poorly by owners that are never there, this shouldn't be a workplace where young adult come and leave to feel traumatized. The food is honestly disgusting and the place is very dirty. I wish this place could do better.

Good place to come relax and have some good food. Decent prices, tasty dishes, excellent tea.

If I had to change one thing - the tables are not liking the cleaning products.

I had ordered 3 times here and they always canceled my order and no reason why I call for the reason and never got answer.

Food is mid, tastes like it’s made for white people. Only thing that saved my dining experience here was our waitress, Theia. She was very attentive and answered all the questions our table had.

Food wasn’t the best. It didn’t really tasted like the food said it was. But service there was amazing! There was this girl that worked there named Theia if I remembered correctly? Amazing costumer service and good vibes!

I ordered the pho with veggies and tofu, and unfortunately, it was quite underwhelming. The broth was very watery and lacked flavor, and the overall dish came off as bland. There were way too many pieces of broccoli, which took up nearly half the bowl and threw off the balance of ingredients. This place doesn’t feel very traditional, and while the food is edible, it doesn’t compare to the many authentic Vietnamese options available in Herndon.

I love the food. I tried their taro salad for the first time and it is a bomb for a hot day. Very refreshing. Their pho soup is huge portion, and my husband loves the bowls (it has protein, veggies and noodles). Very good
