Charred Food is one of those underrated gems you’re so glad you stumbled across. The moment you walk in, the space feels open, casual, and comfortable — perfect for a quick lunch or an easy dinner spot. You order right at the counter when you come in, almost like a fast-food setup, but don’t let that fool you… the food quality is far from fast food.

My burger came out surprisingly fast, but still had that incredible smoky, char-grilled flavor that makes Charred stand out from other burger places. The fries were perfectly crispy, and the Brussels sprouts were honestly a highlight — so flavorful and cooked just right.

If you’re craving a solid burger with great sides in a relaxed setting, Charred is definitely worth a stop. An underrated Herndon spot that deserves a lot more love!

When we first entered the restaurant, there was no one at the counter. As we waited, we noticed a man sitting down in a chair towards the back of the store, seeming to be asleep. Ultimately we got served but even then, we proceeded to wait an exceedingly long time for just two simple burgers. Once received, the burgers, were way over cooked and flavor wise tasted off, in an undefined way. All in all, the place is a true disappointment. The service is slow and plodding, the food is poor. The decor is fairly pleasant for a fast food type restaurant, but this place claims no other, even slightly, redeeming attributes.

Absolutely amazing experience! 🍔 The halal burger here is next level — juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Every bite tastes fresh and full of quality ingredients. The customer service was just as impressive — super friendly, welcoming, and fast! You can really tell they care about their customers. The prices are also great for the quality you get. Definitely one of the best halal burger spots I’ve ever tried. Highly recommended! 👏🔥

Best burger place in NOVA

Good tasting burger and fries. They left part of the paper from the cheese on the burger and i didn't see it until I bit into it. Make sure to check your burger before eating

Smelling the wood burning was the best part of the visit. Staff was cool. Took about an hour to get 3 burgers. Soda dispenser had some gunk come out of it. Burger was average. Won't go back

I had the Cowboy Brisket Burger at Charred and it was absolutely phenomenal. The burger was stacked high with juicy brisket, perfectly cooked beef patty, melty cheese, fresh veggies, and topped off with a fried egg that tied everything together beautifully. Every bite was smoky, savory, and full of flavor — easily one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The fries were crispy, well-seasoned, and the perfect sidekick to the meal.

On top of the amazing food, the staff at Charred were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. You can tell they really care about their customers.

If you’re looking for a spot with next-level burgers and great service, Charred is definitely the place to go.
