Basing this review on a takeout order I made on Monday Oct 7th. I usually like this place, but today the chicken was cold and gamey, the yuca was undercooked and it was a lot less than they usually serve, the sauces (both mayo and green aji seemed watered down. The platanos were not fresh either. It seems everything had been sitting for a while. I don't know if this is the new normal for this place, but I was in fact very disappointed. I know a few months ago they were "closed...

I don't know how I never reviewed this place in the past... But we'll deserved 5 star! There are many Peruvian chicken establishments in the area, but this one is the best imo. The staff is consistently friendly and welcoming. Took a total Peruvian food noob with me on my latest visit and they were very helpful guiding him along. Flavor is always great. Sauces are delicious. Look forward to my next visit, and will frequently recommend we hit this spot.

My S.O. and I were in NOVA test driving a vehicle and needed a late bit to eat as we both love Peruvian chicken. We stopped in at Chicken Rico and were both pleasantly surprised by not only the quality of the cuisine, but also with the portion size!
