Elden Street Tea Shop (New Store Opening in Spring 2024)

Very tasty tea! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and explained about the types of loose tea. Kind of hard to find but the he website gives very good directions. We had the chocolate cherry tea & I could taste the chocolate. I didn’t get notes of cherry but I was impressed by the delicate flavor achieved without oils. Will definitely go again.

Super cute place with plenty of teas. We did a tea tasting and the service was excellent. Highly recommend!

I went by myself as a treat and the place was hopping, even on a cold winter afternoon. They have a broad selection of teas and flavors: herbal, black, green, white, and mixes of all the above with pretty much any flavor you can imagine. They have an afternoon mini tea that I inhaled (EVERYTHING was good), and they make their scones in-house. The pot of tea that comes with the mini afternoon tea lasted me a long time (5 cups? I lost track). You can also get an order for carry-out. The team was all good-natured and knowledgeable. I’ll be going back.

The quiche and apple tart are terrible. The macarons and scone were ok.
We ordered two orders of the tea service (pot of tea and small plate of pastries $25 each) and were told that we would only get one pot of tea to share....but we were paying for two orders. Really really really really weird and cheap on the part of the owner.
You stand in line to order and pay at the counter. No table service. Sugar is packets, not cubes. Tea is tea bags, not loose tea. Super basic interior.
I was hopeful that this was a cute tea shop that knew what they were doing, but sadly, no.

The shop was cute enough, and the tea flight was mostly good. My issue is that my friend and I were splitting a scone plate (that comes with two scones mind you) and we asked for an extra plate and was told that the extra plate cost more. I understand small businesses tend to have higher prices and whatnot but charging extra for a physical plate? That’s ridiculous

Picked up a bunch of tea last winter and I still have a bunch of it in a container and it's still just as good as it was when I got it

My wife and I went for a walk down to Lake Anne today and decided to take a break for a spot of tea at the Elden St Tea Shop. It was delightful. We had nice cups of tea on the couch outside and ate a couple of scones.
Next time we come down to Lake Anne it will be a tough choice between Tea, Beer or Coffee.

Lovely atmosphere and people. The special events they throw are fun, welcoming and inclusive. Rachel (the owner) fuses all she does with love and you can tell.

I’ll probably only get iced tea to go from now on. This is a nicely placed tea shop in a great location, nice seating indoor and outdoor seating and they normally have a great selection of teas when they are stocked up and the staff is friendly. Sadly the last three times I have been we have had hair in the jam, pieces of food missing from our meal we get, and dirty dishes given to us. I hope it’s just some processes/training that needs to be refined but we wont be going back in the near future. Since this is the only tea shop in the area, we hope to try it again in the future, but in the mean time we don’t feel comfortable bringing our friends here.

The place is a great tea shop. Rachel is the best and definitely put effort into learning when developing her product. The place has a very comfortable looking arrangement and the staff are extremely friendly.

Honestly the tea is pretty good and Rachel is the best. It is a very cute and friendly tea shop. Some of these reviews seem to have nothing to do with the tea shop.

Beautiful place with delicious drinks. The atmosphere is so magical and the location is great. They have lots of comfy seating, so I can fully recommend bringing your friends here even just to talk and catch up. Or come here alone to relax and unwind with their great tea.
