My wife and I come here all the time for date nights and it has easily become our favorite sushi spot in the area. The food is consistently excellent. Everything we’ve tried has been fresh and really well prepared, and it’s one of those places where you end up craving it again a few days later.
What really makes this place special though is the people. The two servers who usually take care of us are incredibly kind and welcoming every time we come in. They’re always accommodating and just genuinely sweet people. It’s the kind of place where you feel remembered and appreciated, which is honestly rare these days.
We actually used to come here before we got married, and when we told them we were getting married they surprised us with a beautiful pair of chopsticks as a gift. That moment stuck with us and says a lot about the kind of place this is.
Great food, wonderful people, and a really warm atmosphere. If you’re looking for a sushi spot that feels personal and welcoming, this is it. We’ll definitely keep coming back for our date nights.

This place is so adorable! The service is great and it's some of the freshest sushi I've had. The rolls are HUGE which is nice. Staff is super friendly and we chatted about Premier League and the Olympics for a while. All in all a wonderful place.

The service was very good ,the girl was fast and efficent but i cant say the same about the food ,the rice on the sushi was overcooked ,the curry chicken 5/10 and yakisoba 5/10 ,i cant really enjoy the flavor and i think the chicken quality is poor,maybe it is a bad day but i speak about my experience

Sushi was pretty good! Enjoyed the edamame and all the rolls we got. Only thing: the o-toro sashimi was still slightly frozen and that took away from the experience.

The atmosphere was very nice and the sushi was delicious. The kids sushi meal was good and my daughter gobbled the California roll up. Everything looked very fresh.
Hama Sushi is the best sushi restaurant that I've found in Herndon so far. I tested them by ordering an a la carte tamago (egg) nigiri and it came back hot and freshly made! Delicious! I ordered a miso soup, one of their specials and a yellowtail roll afterwards - all excellent. Highly recommended!

i live so close to this place and discovered it very recently - what a hidden gem. the staff makes you feel at home and at ease, it’s like going to your extended family for a meal. the food is delicious, fresh, and nutritious; and wonderfully priced. my fiance and our families came to get dinner tonight and i think the owner (?) waited on us? she was so kind and funny and cared about serving us. i am continually impressed and WILL be back. thank you hama sushi family!🤎🤎🤎🤎

The best sushi in town! They have been open for 30years! Very authentic Japanese and Korean food. The fish is always fresh! Unlike some other restaurants they use old frozen fish that tastes like dry wood. I highly recommend their sushi combo deals !
