I've eaten here too many times to count and have even driven more than 30 mins from Baltimore to pick up takeout during the lockdown. Love the brown stew chicken, curry goat, and oxtail. Best Jamaican in the Baltimore area. Worth the drive from the city! Check it out!

What a wonderful surprise this place was the total package! Decor: Intimate lighting, reggae music, and a picture wall. Seating was spaced out fairly well. Food: 1. Oxtails rice and peas and carrots. We're to die for! I ordered extra meat and rice for about 7$ I have a lot of Leftovers. The oxtails were tasty and melted in my mouth. 2. Curried chicken: my sister had the curried chicken. She loved it! I had a sample and I concur that it was delightful. You can choose from two types of chicken (bone-in or boneless) she chose the bone in. It was so good! 3. And last but not least the Hennessy paradise drinks! Wow! These we some beautiful drinks and at 25$ each they were slightly weak. My sister loved it and I thought it was good as well. The drinks made me feel as close to being on a Jamaican vacation as I was gonna get this year! So thanks guys Dessert: Rum cake! I didn't want it because of the Nita but I tasted a bit and it was soooo good the perfect blend of spices and rum... which I had a shot of rum to dunk it I ... it was a good choice. Customer service: We were constantly greeted the waiters were polite. They informed is the we're short staffed ahead of time. But we did not wait long for our food. The menus were touch less which is nice especially during this Covid mess. Extras: the bathroom was sooo clean and I really appreciate that. It's nothing worse than eating then having to look at a disgusting bathroom. My sister didn't even know this place was around the corner from here. We will be doing here again.This place really made me feel good about spending my money here. We will definitely be back great job guys!

Moving to Harford County from PG County/DC area (born and raised) it's been hard to find food options comparable to what I'm used to - especially Caribbean food. Island Spice changed that! They have some of the best Caribbean food I've had since moving here. Everything I've had I've loved. On top of the great food, the vibe and atmosphere are wonderful and so is the customer service. They truly care about their customers and definitely treat us like "family". Lastly, they know how to throw a good party! Thank you Island Spice for bringing the Caribbean to Harford County and serving this community some of the best, most authentic Caribbean food.

All I can say is Yum, yum, yum!!! We got take out about a week ago and am thinking about going back today :-) The oxtails were delicious (wish they were a little meatier but flavor was on point). The Salmon with cream sauce was good too, next time I'd ask for medium on the salmon, it was overcooked and extra sauce because the sauce was very good. Curry chicken super tasty as well, good flavor on the chicken and cabbage. The only thing I didn't like was the plantains, I was hoping for a sweeter pan fried plantain, but these seemed to be deep fried hard. I'll definitely be back to try the j*** chicken!

We were really looking forward to trying this place out! We stopped by last evening at 6:30 pm, only one table was seated in the restaurant. There were five of us and for some silly reason, the hostess said they will only seat tables of no more than 4 (not something required and while I appreciate taking precautions, this wasn't necessary). However, seating of no more than 4 is ludicrous and clearly they had the room to social distance and in fact, had outdoor seating available, again, no one there. So, needless to say we couldn't stay since there were 2 adults and our 3 children. We try to help the small business during this time, but ya gotta help yourself. Good luck!

Excellent j*** chicken. The right amount of spice and heat without being overpowering. I chose white rice vs rice and peas, just my personal preference. I do wish that I got more than just 1 plaintain with my lunch platter. It was sort of sad sitting there all by itself :-(The customer service by phone and curbside pickup was very good as well. Will definitely return!

Great food. Coconut shrimp was very nice. The mustard did not compliment it. I would consider serving with a sweet and sour sauce. The brown sauce chicken was soft and fell of the bone. The ox tail sauce was amazing. I think it needed another hour cooking time. But I loved it.

Amazing food but portion size for carryout is small for the price. I was still hungry after a $14 j*** chicken meal barley any chicken. And I have been here a for dine in and carryout many times. Hoping for a difference but nope they should offer half chicken meals to accommodate.
5 star on the food. I ordered the j*** chicken was very satisfied with the taste, highly recommend to get the punch, it's really good.

Everything was delicious, as usual! The Red Snapper as well as the Lobster & lamb did not disappoint . Service was also excellent! Socially distance patio dining made me feel extremely comfortable to get out & enjoy!

One of my close friends suggested trying this place and I decided to go. I'm really glad I did. The food and service was great. Their food is authentic Jamaïcain food. I ordered the brown stew fish and it was delicious and the presentation was also beautiful.
